As his new thriller An Officer and A Spy, based on the Dreyfus affair in France, is published, best-selling writer Robert Harris reads from the book and talks to the Guardian's Richard Lea about how he works, the consequences of having sold 10m books, and the contemporary echoes of a miscarriage of justice that shook France to its core

Love Robert Harris books, so glad he has decided to return to thrillers with a historical edge. I liked Ghost but didn't enjoy The Fear Index much. Archangel is one of the best books ever written - my all time favourite novel which I read once a year. Thank you Mr Harris.
