Gotta play Addison Oaks if your in the area already. Its a must and has just been redesigned to be a lot longer. My favorite course in SE Michigan. Great combination of wooded and open holes.
Indy, now Cass? Very cool! Love the SE Michigan courses your filming. I see a few comments for Lakeshore, nice course (you'll love the ThrowShop). If I were going to pick your next destination course, drive another 20 min and play Rolling Hills. Warm up on the putting course bf your round. Its pretty unique, you'll enjoy it.
You guys should check out Northridge Church as well! It’s a beautiful church property in Plymouth, less than 10 minutes from Cass and it’s also free to play
It has been 8 years since ive played Cass Benton since i moved to the south. The course is cleaned up and looking great! I started playing this course 16 years ago, and this course had more trees but those trees were dying and falling (womp womp). I am so happy to see that the course recieved the tlc that it SO desperately needed
So much fun to watch people play on a course I've actually played. Gives me some ideas as someone who generally doesn't know what I'm doing about what I should be doing...
Hi guys, great video! As a Southeast Michigander, it is really fun to watch good players play the courses I play. I stumbled on your previous Hudson Mills tourney video and just saw this one today. Good stuff; you have a great putt. I will recommend Northridge Church next. I just played it for the first time last weekend. We meant to play Cass-Benton, but they were doing leagues so we had to call an audible. Someone at Cass recommended it as the closest good course, and you mentioned that Cass was very close to you. The front is a park style course with a lot of OB and mandos, including a triple mando, which I've only seen on TV. The back 9 is a woodsy dream. The best part? It's free! Pull into the church and go as far back as possible. Some other recommendations. Kensington. I'm sure you've heard of it. I have not done the toboggan, but I plan to this year when it's up. They have two other pretty great 18 holes. Pay to get in the park, pay to play (probably $10/$2). Longer travel up north (where I'm from): Addison Oaks. Pay to get in ($5, I think). This is a mostly wooded course with a couple park holes and a couple field holes. They just amended it down from 24 to 18 holes. Some of the best holes in Michigan. Stony Creek. Pay to get in, pay to play. ($10/$2, I think). They have two great 18 hole courses. Firefighters. I hesitate on this one. It's a short 18 hole, park course. But it is one of the most played courses in the country. It is the best park course I've played with the exception of maybe Golden Gate Park, but that's a very different style than a Michigan park course. Free to play. I got a little long winded here; I just enjoyed your video so much. I'm sure these videos take a ton of work, and I appreciate it.
You guys should play merril west or otherwise called the gulch free course with donation post located in Hamburg Michigan close to independence lake and Hudson mills
This is about as empty as you will ever see Cass. We love it but mostly avoid it from like May-Sept due to crowds. Also the parks are “metro parks” and if you have a pass and bag tag you can play all of them. All together it’s like $100 for the season
I'm sad I missed you out there would have been cool to meet up and huck some discs. Love your videos. Never realized you lived that close. Keep up the great work.
I've always wanted to travel and play a lot more courses myself... ps battle creek mi has a ton of free top play courses that are pretty nice for y'all to check out
I feel the need to highly recommend Sessions Lake Disc Golf Course in the Ionia State Recreation area in Ionia, MI. Spent the whole weekend there- very few bugs, it's nearly bone dry except right next to the creeks. 24 holes and criminally under-rated. I saw 10 people the entire time. Maybe because it's (gotta be) considered at least "intermediate", maybe a small notch up from that. I want to move there, no joke!
Its great seeing you guys play at one of my home courses! If you are looking for other courses around Cass Benton, I would recommend Lakeshore! It has two courses, one more open and the other is a mix of woods open fairways. Its usually not as packed as Cass Benton but sometimes you can get held up by groups, probably best to go early in the day or when people are working. Thanks for the video!
Beautiful course. My home town course is smaller and still being developed. It is all being done by volunteers. It has some wooded and open holes. Water hazards and guarded greens. It is beautiful and definitely worth playing. Hopefully have all the tee pads in by this time next year.
Such a cool course! A few holes remind me of our Circle C course. I can't believe it can be played so fluently with no traffic. We have so many courses in Austin and there are almost always people playing all day. Also that's crazy to hear that they have to pay for most of the courses they play. I've only played one in the surrounding area that was pay to play but it was an obstacle putt putt type course. Didn't know we were so lucky to have so many free courses. 10 by within like 8mi radius, and that's just by our home
The paid entry parks around southeast Michigan are the Metroparks :) I'm amazed Cass was so empty! Was this early in the day? Such a fun course - one of the oldest in the area! Sadly, erosion on the hill took out a lot of trees a few years back. It used to be a lot tighter on the wooded holes on the hillside. It's neat to see travelers playing on the courses here! Tons of good courses around Detroit. Feel free to play through any time!
hadn’t played this track in years due to the aforementioned crowds but had to drop some practice rounds on it to get ready for the tournament at the end of June. forgot how much fun it was to play. This sesh makes me want to hit it again!
Great Video!! Love Cass Benton, but Indy is my favorite of the bunch you've done. Someday, the weekender to Flip City on the other side of the state is a recommended pilgrimage. The other parks you've played were in the Metropark system (associated with the Clinton and Huron Rivers) and Washtenaw County. Other than courses associated with those two park systems, most courses in Michigan are free. Flip City is $5.
@@missfrisbees Yes -- it's all the same system. Willow, Kensington, Hudson Mills, and Stoney Creek are all the same system. I think there's an extra cost to throw the Toboggan at Kensington, but that's a course designed to make mere mortals cry. If you bought an annual pass for Indy, it's also good for Rolling Hills, south of Ypsilanti.
Don’t scare me like that. I thought you really broke your ankles! Thank goodness it was just another great video. Love watching you to play the northern courses. You’re not missing much down here in Texas.
The last two years have shown that if an above average disc golfer wants to get some attention he just needs to create a disc golf channel and pretend that his girlfriend runs it. Works a charm! Add some touches of pink and the audience might even believe she was the graphic designer haha! All so transparent... It's actually amazing that women feel disadvantaged in disc golf when merely possessing the right genitalia grants a sub-900 rated player plus-1000 rated sponsorships and attention!
Gotta play Addison Oaks if your in the area already. Its a must and has just been redesigned to be a lot longer. My favorite course in SE Michigan. Great combination of wooded and open holes.
I just reserved a camping site here in June to do some camping and disc golfing and I’m excited to play it for the first time.
I like the old layout better, some of the holes are just ridiculous now, one of the tougher courses in the area now

Metro Parks, parmelee in labertville also vienna in temperance are free to play. They are upkeep is being done all the time.

There’s a basket near where I live in California that’s buried up to the top of the tray.
One of my favorite courses!
If your ever in Anchorage alaska you gotta play kincaid park... it has over views of the cook inlet
Can confirm, traveled from Ohio and the first thing we did when we landed was go to kincaid.
This is about as empty as you will ever see Cass. We love it but mostly avoid it from like May-Sept due to crowds.

Foreshadowing at 6:45 😂

You guys are great! This is my home course. Great throws, both of you. Love the playthrough video.

another amazing course by me. Gotta check out Lake shore in ypsilanti !! has 2 courses.
So glad you guys decided to try this one out! This is one of my favorites!!!
your putting is looking so solid with those pa3s, great video
Cass is fun. right down the road. You need to film playing at Lakeshore

How do you guys find your frisbees after you absolutely launch them into the woods??!
When you throw terrible shots all the time you get real good at finding your discs 😆
Awesome to see you guys play Cass Benton. A great course. Hope to see you guys play Fire Fighter's park too.

It was early on a weekday and we had most of the park to ourselves! Such a great course, hope to be back soon!
you guys are awesome keep you the good work.
Thank you 🥰
I live 2 miles from here. Glad you made it out! Also this course is always super packed. Really surprised no one was there lol
Fav course in Michigan

Oh, that’s great to know! Is it true that if I bought a metro park pass from Hudson Mills it is good for all the other metro parks as well?
@@missfrisbees Yes -- it's all the same system. Willow, Kensington, Hudson Mills, and Stoney Creek are all the same system. I think there's an extra cost to throw the Toboggan at Kensington, but that's a course designed to make mere mortals cry.

I played there in 2000. Had a great time. Went back in 2008 and it was in bad shape!
Watch out for the cassholes though, great track but the people suck though.
Another great course that showcases SE Michigan, besides Kensington, is "The Gulch," a small, tight, and technical course just SW of Kensington
Love this course. Highly recommend the Gulch if you haven’t played, super fun.
There used to be many more trees
Please let me know when you guys come to Midland Michigan I would love to play around with you guys
I love Cass benton but driving through that area to get to it is always a nightmare for me
Are you playing in Cass Benton tournament at the end of June?
You go girl!
I was thinking of it but we are suppose to be leaving for USWDGC that day and I don’t think a 7 hour drive after a tournament is a great idea 😅
@@missfrisbees Excellent. Remember what Simon says: “The most important thing is to have fun.” As I said, “You go girl!”
OMG you sneezed and for some strange reason i said "Bless You" :)
LOL! Well thank you 😆
Congrats,8 under bogey free!
No more scary titles! Cute course, next time you can play the longs 👍🏻
Top tier stretch routine😂
Don’t scare me like that. I thought you really broke your ankles! Thank goodness it was just another great video. Love watching you to play the northern courses. You’re not missing much down here in Texas.
Hahah! Sorry for the scare 🤭
Did the loser buy lunch???
Great video again, I could watch you all day longggggg… my comfort watch ☺️☮️
Lol! Yes, I guess the loser Chris did buy lunch 😆
Emergency services must really take your ankles seriously, you could hear them a couple of times in the background. Cool course!
does he play in advanced or ams?
Chris? He bounces around from MA2 and MA1!
See???? If you putt like this in tournaments you will win lots of them!
i cannot watch anything to do with broken ankles,,,please tell me no ankles were broken before i watch it
No ankles were broken in this video!! Lol 😆
I love koolaid hair woke folk!!!
Highly overrated course and ridiculously crowded.
