@@discodan6671 you can make it, everyone can, just go into your asian mart and grab PLAIN agar powder (don't get the flavored one), go back home duh, read the label on the agar powder to know how much liquid needed for the jelly, make some sweetened coffee, make it a bit sweeter because it'll taste better, drop the agar powder, cook it again until it bubbles and let it chill while still stirring if there're skims and bubbles to get rid of them, store it in tupperware after it cools a bit (usually it's 10 minutes). Refrigerate. Cut into any shape you want, or even better, use cheese grater, trust me. Make your other coffee iced and creamed, drop in the jelly, voila. Also, you can use your bad tasting coffee here, because it's sweet and bad coffee taste better when it's sweetened. Also, look up recipe because I don't really make them, I just know how to because I made other flavored jelly drinks and I just swap flavored agar with coffee and plain agar

Everything you said is really spot on. I have been living in Japan for a little over a year. I get excited when I find that one rare trash can out in public. The summer here is so hot. Stepping outside I'm already trenching in my sweat while the Japanese people aren't sweating much. Then one thing I struggle to this day is the language barrier, sometimes I don't go to any restaurants because I don't know the language much and then there's making conversations with the Japanese people out in the streets or at the club. I have to pull out the google translator and try to communicate. I do like how friendly the people are over here. So far Japan is nice but once you start living here you get that culture shock and see the real Japan more than what you see on youtube and hear about, especially when you live more towards the west of Japan.

In a restaurant, the cashier felt very sorry for me because she ripped off the ticket you get when you pay by credit card. Plus, she tried to tell me the situation in Japanese (which I understand to some extents for the moment) and I thought "Seriously ?! If it ripped off the text, I would understand your concerns but it is just a tiny scratch at the end of the ticket. I can still read the entire receipt....". So, thanks to anime, I could tell her in Japanese "Don't worry, it is okay !".
She felt way too relieved for me x) I think their "customer-first" policy is taking too much toll on Japanese people sometimes... 😅

Hmm... it has nothing to do with "land of the rising sun"- if you know about time and time zones, you know that we arbitrarily assign time to certain times of the day, right? The reason why the sunrise is so early is because of Japan's time zone- it's abnormally behind compared to the natural sun position to time mapping that the world uses (aka solar time). In Tibet, the opposite occurs, sunrise happens very late because it is very far ahead of the solar time compared to its UTC +8 time zone. In fact, Japan should be around UTC +10 at it's current longtitude, not UTC +9, and Tibet should be around UTC +6, not UTC +8.

I'm from Japan, so I know what it's like- but I don't get why America doesn't do this. Like, even the TOILETS in Japan are more technological than the world. But MAN do I miss the sound of cicadas in Japan. It's annoying, but I loved it. If you're Japanese and lived in Japan for MANY years, it's easy to miss it. Japan is CLEAN. Don't throw ANY trash in the side walk. Also, in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, kids are cleaning their classrooms and halls AND serving lunch. In groups. AND YOU NEVER GET FAT (unless you over eat). And lunches in schools (and outside) are SO HEALTHY- like, America serves pizza and corn dogs but in Japan they give out GOOD veggies, soup, meat, sometimes fish, and EVEN MORE YUMMY HEALTHY STUFF. Like, it's INSANE. But I get the "walk right" part. I sometimes accidentally block people in both Japan and America. Oh yeah, and there's TONS of earthquakes, typhoons (tornado/hurricane) and stuff.

I used to remember bringing an umbrella to school during hot sunny days then my American classmates kept asking why and making fun of me for bringing them so I stopped because that made me stand out so much whenever I’m going to school even though it was very common thing to do in my Filipino school.
Tbh I thought everyone in the world knew this as a common sense to bring shade with you but no.
