Join us on day 3 of our 4 day motorcycle ride exploring the beautiful coast of California on HArley Davidsons! On this trip, we were lucky enough to have our friend Aaron Baker along and take him on his first multi-day trip! Aaron is breaking boundaries previously considered impossible by riding a motorcycle for days on end on his journey as a recovering quadriplegic. He's a helluva dude with an incredible story, and we're here to share that!!

Aaron's clip at 5:02 is incredibly moving. Even through great adversity, he demonstrates life is worth living - That a broken man can become whole again. Just because life is different than you wanted or imagined doesn't mean it can't be grand. Thanks for the lesson Aaron. I'll carry it with me forever. Keep smiling.
IT sure was. Those are the types of things that one may not consider when realizing how many obstacles those with major life changes deal with. We are glad that he felt comfortable sharing! Aaron is a helluva dude, and we certainly learned many important lessons from him. Thanks for watching, Alex 👍
WOW fellas....this episode was Really the stuff! Thank you for takin all of us along. Too Kool!!
Thanks R&D Custom!! Glad you're digging it!! This trip was a blast and we can't wait to share the rest! Then, up next, we'll be dropping our 8 day, 3,500 mile trip to south Dakota to cover the history and rides in the area 🤘
The wife and I are doing this same ride in late June. Can’t wait.
Awesome!! We're excited for you guys! Ride safe 👍
Another great one guys! Don't we all need an inspiring guy like Aaron in our lives??
Thanks, Michael!! We sure do!!
Loved this one..the Monterey Peninsula is one my favorite places to visit..I've never done it on a bike..next time..
It’s spectacular and we recommend going south so you have no obstructions in your view.
God bless America 🇺🇸 absolutely breathtaking views .
Agreed!! Thanks for watching, Garry!! 🇺🇸
Wow just absolutely amazing dont have the words to describe what you all just showed us it just just keeps getting better. Thank you guys and Stay Safe out there
Thanks you, Cathy!! We're glad that you're enjoying the story so far, and there's more where that came from. See ya on the next one! 👍
That's a great view, the water is a beautiful color!
It really was! Crazy to come around the corner and be met with the view of that vibrant coast line! Thanks for watching, Joyce 🙌
What a great attitude toward life Aaron has. It sure is an example for all of us watching world wide. Funny how at some point he was even trying to make that three wheel a two wheeler haha.... NICE ride guys. Keep having fun!
Agreed!! He's got an infectious positivity about him, and it's always a good time getting to hang and ride with him. Thanks for watching, Lorenzo!!🙌
See you guys down the road
See ya down the road!
That was the Best......🤙🤙🤙
Thanks for watching, Flavio !! 🙌
You inspired me. We are going to Portland to see our kids in August, I think we will take to whole coast down to just north of LA and cut east to 40 and head home that way. Just hoping 5 days is enough.
Awesome, we're happy to hear that!! You could take 5 days or 5 weeks, it just depends on how much you want to stop and see. Either way, that is a great ride, and 5 days shouldn't be a problem 👍
Amazing views and I love seeing y’all out exploring this beautiful country of ours. Keep the awesome content coming. Ride safe! 🤘
Thanks Darrell!! Always a good time exploring this beautiful country of ours!! Plenty more good times ahead 👍🇺🇸
Loved this!! Grew up just north of there, was stationed at Ft Ord and spent many hours driving up and down that coast. Makes me want to get back down there with my motorcycle for a ride.
We're glad to hear that, Lela!! We loved it out there. Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
Thanks for the ride along and great video thanks for sharing 🤘🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Jim!! 🤘🇺🇸
Aaron is the kind of inspiriational person everyone should have in their life. His trike is something I wish I had in my life. ✌ 😁
He’s amazing!! We feel the same as people can look to people like Aaron and completely be inspired.
@@Alex-xq5jx That's up next week! See you there
👍
Great guys what a nice job, and on this beautiful route 1, We drove it in 2019! Good memories! Greetings Harley riders from the Netherlands
Thanks for the support, Ton!! Sounds like you had a great ride👍
That stretch of road between Lover's Point and Asilomar in PG epic. Didn't appreciate it as much as I should have growing up there. I lived on Crocker for a while, so we were almost neighbors. 😉
Curious why Aaron went to Carmel High when he lived in PG. Ateast that's what I thought I heard.
Interesting fact, we don't call Highway 1 "PCH" up here. That's more of a SoCal thing.
Really cool to see the run from Monterey to PG to Carmel to Big Sur highlighted here. I've done that same ride many many times and it still amazed me.
Next time, stop at Nepenthe for lunch. The views are spectacular.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your comments!
It sure is epic out there. It sounds like Aaron lived in a few different areas during his time up north, the Pagoda house being one of his childhood homes for a period of time.
We had a ton of footage for this day of the trip, so we ended up splitting it into 2 videos. You'll see the lunch stop and ride out to Cambria after this one 🙌
Thanks for watching, Sandman!
I lived in PG from 1957 to, well 46 years later.
My parents were co owners of The Outrigger Restaurant on Cannery Row a restaurant in New Monterey and another in Carmel.
Maybe Aaron lived in PB.. many of those kids went to school in Carmel.
Correct Hiway 1 is Hiway 1 .. not PCH.
Nepenthe is nothing like it was pre 1968 when the Hippies invaded. They are pretentious and grossly overpriced.
I sold my share of a house 50 ft from Asilomar entrance.. my brother still lives there. Sold my house 818 Congress ...
Class of 64.. no other year like it.
I co founded the Monterey Bay European Motorcycle Club in 1982 with long time friend Jim Brewer. RIP.
Bixby Bridge 7:00 Am Nov 12 1982. RIP Glenn Gregory Hildreth.
There are Motorcycles ( I have owned 53) and there are Harleys.
@@jeffhildreth9244 That's really cool, Jeff! Knowing PG the way I do, there's no way our paths didn't cross on multiple occasions considering the years you lived there. On my mother's side, my Grandpa Lee owned the 76 gas station on Forest Hill. I'm sure you know our family.
I have to say, the Outrigger was always one of my favorite spots. Grabbing a table at the end over the water was mandatory. I still go there from time to time. The name has changed, but the view hasn't.
I hope you're well and doing great!
I miss living in Monterey. The ride down to Pismo is nice but slow. Lots of 2nd gear switchbacks. I haven’t done that ride in at least ten years. I need to get back to visit soon.
It's an awesome area. Glad we could make it back to do some more exploring and take HWY 1 south to see it from that perspective. A great ride indeed. We hope you can make it back out there one of these days!
Amazing, yes. God bless you guys. see you down the road 🛣️
Thanks for the support, Ray!! See you down the road 🙌
@@2LaneLife no riding for me this weekend but it was a great weekend just the same. quickshoe6
Doing my 2023 research. Can’t wait to do some West Coast runnin’.
You came to the right place!! Tons of riding out here for sure. Thanks for watching, Traveller 🙌
I’ve been on these roads in a car. You’ve inspired me to retake them on a motorcycle 👍🏻. Well done!
Anyway you can get on this road is a good thing. Bikes just make it that much better.
Awesome ride great scenery and I love the trike.🇨🇦🤙
Thanks Kevin!! Great times 🙌

Nicely down as usual
Thanks, John!!
Love watching my old stomping grounds and reminding me of the beauty of that area. It is so awesome seeing this guy ride after all he has been through and to see his friends come out of nowhere and greet him. I was thinking!!! scary thought!!! Would you guys ever hold a fans ride around somewhere in Cali???? Or just do a meet and greet at a location? Thanks for all you guys do.
It's an awesome area for sure!! Glad we could revisit some of the area and share with ya. That was incredible seeing Aaron recognize his buddy on the coast checking out the waves. Small world!
We've thought about it and may do something down the line, it would just be a big liability for us, and it's hard enough keeping a small group together on a longer ride, let alone a large group with riders of various skill levels. We'll be thinking of ideas for something fun to do down the line for local riders though 👍
Thanks for the support, Sean!

Looking good on the Trike Lance. You should stick with it, it suits you.
Thanks Jake! It was a fun couple of days on there, but glad to be back on two wheels 😎
WOW !! Amazing !!
🙌
I would love to see you three guys all test ride Royal Enfield 350 Meteors together - like you did with the Live Wires. Nice around town and back road bike that takes you back to the 1970’s. It would be an easy transition back to two wheels for Lance.
That would be awesome! It'd definitely be cool to try out some vintage bikes around town. Luckily, Lance is back on two wheels, and we just got back from an 8 day, 3,500 mile trip which we can't wait to share after this series!
👍👍👍😎 Love the area!!!
Same here!! Thanks for watching, John 👍
Great video. Looked like an amazing ride!
Awesome
Ride!!!
Glad I found your channel!!!
Same here!! Thanks for the support, we're glad you're enjoying the videos👍
Belle vidéo et magnifiques paysages bravo Pascal from belgium 💯
Merci d'être venu pour la balade, Pascal! C'était un super voyage👍
Loving this series ❤️
Thank you!!
Thx for a preview I'm taking
Awesome! Thanks for watching, Michael 👍
Hey guys !!! I took my first flight "like an eagle" with my twin brother, on 22 May 22.
That's awesome!! Good stuff, Dolores 👌
Nice trike. Original rear. How is the Batmobile :)) What engine does this trike have?
Thanks Darek!! Aaron's trike was originally a 1998 softail deluxe and still has the 96"evo motor
Great video as always, guys! What are your thoughts on earplugs? Do you wear them? I'm a new SG rider, and the noise is right on that line for me to use earplugs. Thanks!
Earplugs , definitely.
Thanks Rex!! And we wear them on and off. When we had built motors and 2-into-1 exhaust that was quite a bit louder, we would wear them for every long ride. Now, we have slip-ons which aren't incredibly loud and don't tend to wear them as often. If you don't mind wearing them, your hearing will thank you!
Cheers to Aaron.
Aaron is the man!! Thanks for tuning in🙌
@@2LaneLife that he is. Yall just earned a new subscriber. It’s my dream to ride a Harley soft tail standard along Highway 1 and see the ocean. I can’t wait and talk have just intensified the desire. Cheers
Love Cannery Row....Hwy 1 is the best riding in the country !!!!
Certainly is a great ride!! One our best in California.
Cannery Row is a cartoon of its former self.
What modular helmets do you guys use? Since you guys travel with them they must be decent. I’m in the process of looking for a new helmet
We rock the Bell SRT Modulars. We've tried a handful of different helmets in the past 10 years, and they are by far our favorites. Comfy, affordable, look great, and very functional for touring.
Helmet stock is tough right now, but if you're looking into a Bell, let us know and we'll do our best to help out

Thanks for watching,Dan!
@@2LaneLife thank you for the reply! I actually ended up buying the extract helmet shortly after my comment. Thank you guys. Ride safe
@@MrDantastic423 Awesome!!
👍👍
🙌
Where do you stay in Cambria?
Ocean Point, Fog Catcher, Creekside Inn
Great Vid except for the back ground chatter and yepping when Aaron was talking!
Lol not much we could have done to fix that (after the fact), but that's like filming sometimes. Thanks for watching, Jimmy 👍
🤓😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦 beautiful
🙌🤘
I'm just going to say it...I like the old intro music a LOT better.
Thanks for the input, Tommy! With the new intro, we tried to match the quality of the footage we're capturing now compared to the early days, and just happened to land on that song. We'll update it again sometime down the line 👍
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👍👍👍💟💟💟🇳🇱
Thanks for watching, Juan!!
it's a lot nicer of a ride without the mobility scooters
Not sure what that means.
