Stan I love the fact to listen and read this comments. Because I one of the people that has said for the past three years get a Kubota skid steer and a front end loader and by God you got both lol. Congratulations and job well done you have a nice fleet equipment.
Glad to know there’s other plow guys out there going just as insane on no sleep and I thought I was the only one that talked to myself and my equipment 😂
I'm about ready to pack up my trucks, tractor and skid steer and come help you guys. We only got 3 inches this year. I miss being awake for 3 days and being happy about it lol... you guys do have a great operation going on.
@Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek it definitely looks like you all have had one system after another. I'm a weather nerd and I'm even amazed at the freight train effect with these systems up north. It's exactly why we haven't had any snow this season, because they just keep going over the same area's since December. Good for you guys, definitely helps the business and the family's working for you.
I would like to see a video about your interview process! I would be very interested in knowing what kind of questions you ask, and expectations you set, to get awesome, loyal folks working for you that want to grow and take on responsibility!
Stan looks like the larger artics work well in smaller amount hard on loaders when you were plowing deep stuff that's why I like my 8' artic on my loader we might get a small amount of snow here in Philly Friday night into Saturday morning for the first time this year
We used to watch 3 FFA State Tractor Champs plow out our whole neighborhood. They used plow-equipped farm tractors with door-like wooden back blades on the three-point hitches. Two would work a driveway each. The third would clean up the plowed snow from the street. They would back up to the garage door and drop both blades and plow into the street, making two or three passes. Then move to the next customer. 🚜 ❄️
Fun times and a quick FYI if you add beet juice to your brine you can get an extra 10-15 degrees of melt temperature. As always good luck and God bless and stay safe out there.
Dirtmonkey can get downright punchy when he has no sleep for several days. LOL!! Great plowing footage. I am still amazed that the close to 30 year old Arctic still works like new. Hang in there Stan....mowing season is coming soon!
And wait, it started to snow again. I just got a new Polaris ATV right before that big storm, and now it been snowing almost every day now, 60 inch plow, hydro turn plow on it, Great plowing video
Yeah you are delirious. Heading over to Rochester Monday then up to Aitkin Tuesday. Gotta see all that snow. Green Bay area didn't get much snow at all.
I have not been much of a RUclipsr but I do find myself recently watching your videos more and more. You put out great content Stan officially I just hit that subscribe button and will be 👍🏻 from here on in or out…
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and since the day you got that SDLG I’ve always wondered why you had such a large pusher on it. It seems like every video that loader struggles more than any other piece of equipment you have in your fleet to effectively move snow. What’s your philosophy on keeping it on that machine? We have a case 221f with an 8-13’ HLA snow wing and our machine even struggles with that sometimes in large snowfalls. Great videos btw, love the reviews on products 👍🏽
Have you ever tried putting traction screws into the loader tires for added traction in the winter? If not, might be a cheap and easy way for a little more bite
Stan- I think you need to hook up with a heavy equipment tire company (Nokian Hakkapeliitta/Michelin X Snoplus/Bridgestone VSW, etc...) to showcase true snow/winter tires for one of your loaders. I know you've grooved your tires with a hand groover but there's no comparison to factory siped winter tires.
Stan! Big questions here! Running a plow company. We have a track skid with blower and push box, kubota with blower, and 5 trucks. If you had to pick one piece for doing grocery store size parking lots. What loader would you pick? our area has Deere, Case, Cat, and Kubota dealers.
Stan! I just got a great idea!! I think. You know how people do a Christmas in July thing? You should do a snow video directors cut in July. They help me stay cool here in Florida. They might help other people feel cooler in the summer.
Southwestern PA has an all time low record going. I have dropped plows 4 times since Nov 1, 2022. Getting bored. Looking at starting up a mobile sharpening and maintenance service to keep us busy in the winter. I mean, yeah it nice that all 300 of our blades have mirror polishes on them. But you can only have so much payroll dedicated to maintenance. We need a clipper or something before the end of the season for me to be happy.
When’s the new artic truck plow video coming out of it plowing? waiting patiently to see that push, if they are available I would seriously consider converting my wideouts for next winter.
Hey Stan a little late but winter’s coming again I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a new 540, do you think it’s worth 15k more for the 640 ? The machine will be used with a 10 foot pusher in a 6 acre plaza with pretty straight 100 yd runs. I would really value your input. Ty!!!
Oh and a supertrak sk140 with a Dennis cimaf mulching head. See if they with let you demo one or maybe they will let you come down and see there plant and how much engineering they put into that machine the frame is a cat 903 compact wheel loader but everything else is built in house by supertrak. I do believe you will be highly impressed.
Hey Stan don’t know if you know this or not about front loaders but if you put the front bucket/plow down and turn with it down and not moving you can turn sharper? Hope this helps you out!!
Mine just be me but after a long night of plowing its feel good when the sun comes up 😂😂 can actually see everything idk its refreshing for some reason
@@Dirtmonkey yessir its a know if you know type of feeling i do the same type of plowing as yall its a government contract so great $$ but unfortunately havent had an event over 3 inches :( Had 4 events slush type, its in boston right downtown on the water so it’s usually that heavy shlop unless it gets real cold well get fluff
You should consider some twelve volt leds with magnets to stick on the side of those plow tips when heading down the road. Didnt look like much margin for era and I wouldnt do that at nite without em either
i have a backhoe on my tractor, and due to how i typically move snow, with my blower, i can't exactly back drag a certain triangle shape on my driveway. so i hand shovel that part. but, what i want to try out, is to build something like an extension blade for my backhoe bucket so i can back drag without removing the backhoe. unfortunately, im not sure aluminum is strong enough for that, and neither would plywood. so, as an alternative, i am contemplating getting a power-shovel instead. but, i also think that a snow-box would be nice to have, but would mean removing the snow blower. not exactly an easy solo job, but, im always looking for ways to improve my own snow removal ability. unfortunately the blower clogs in heavy wet snow and when it packs up like concrete i break shear pins like crazy. i love my tractor, but i wish John Deere could keep improving their equipment and innovate like other companies have.
Hey Stan, been kind of curious is there a reason you got the 530 instead of the 630? We have a 630 and love it was wondering if there was any differences that you seen as beneficial?
Hey hey hey stan, it sure has been a minute, i have been playing catch up with your videos, i got so much work for school, I’ve seen all the stuff o instagram tho, i enjoy and try to see as much content from yu as possible. Infact i just wrote a speech for public speaking class and i willl be doing y essays nd finals projects for my other classes, I am neck deep in school work. But I guess you have to get swamped with work to rep the rewards. Tonight for dinner we went to a local restaurant for cheesesteaks, super good, always like helping put our local business’s. Oh stan, have you seen all the stuff from ego, ive been checking it all out, I can’t wait, i might seek to upgrade my mower or maybe get a new toy, something i don’t have to better my business. Make life easier for me and my customers. Anyas stan, i am glad to finally get a comment out to you, god bl;ess and go get em, your pal and freind Alexander costa
Something i planned when I was building my canopy first for my tractor, was having flashing light bars, so I went with a blue and white 35 inch bars for plowing and only for snow plowing. Better than just the hazard lights in my opinion.
Need to get yourself a pre-Def Deere 444k or something similar in size to really move snow in storms like that. With like a 12 ft Arctic so the power to weight ratio is there to push them big piles.
What service was the first service your company of many services offered when you first started with zero funds being that's where I'm trying to start is front zero funds?
I wanna move where it snows more. Seriously. I love snow. And moving it. But where I live is such a crap shoot. One year you get solid back to back events to keep ya busy. And some years you break out the wife beaters and flip flops because it’s 60° out. Sigh. Good ol Mother Nature keeps things unpredictable I guess.
You should check my buddy’s channel. Griff Granger. He plows the road in Alpine Meadows CA. In Lake Tahoe. Some of his videos during these past storms are epic. Lake Tahoe has received a record 600” of snow this year so far. Monumental.
my dumb knowledge tells me that your wheels on the sledge are too big, which causes you to loose a lot of grip. meanwhile the kabotas wheels are smaller, giving it more grip. you're essentially just floating on the snow, instead of gripping into it.
Turned down the AC to 75. Put on a dirt monkey plow video. The house feels cooler. I can do some more work in the garage and it helps truck my brain into thinking it's not 83 degrees today.
I would like to know doing the the private drives what percent of them yell claims of damage when yo don't. You have video and still claim you damaged their car or garage door or whatever? I'm sure you have some good story's. Northern Illinois Thanks Rod
Alex is great! Very thorough.

I always seen it as a traction issue. If it had chains it would be a monster.
I think the initial price point was a lot more reasonable than others
"Don't make one person's snow another person's problem" Most intelligent thing I've ever heard, but don't see practiced around where I live.
Got to say you sure get a lot of work done with the Kabota and the 50+ HP engine. It should be pretty easy on fuel too.A winter to remember. Thanks 🥶.
yeah kubotas are acculy has the best feul enfishioned engines im getting a kubota generator my self
When you guys are done, California and Wyoming needs plowing also
That’s wild
@@Dirtmonkey NO. It is the truth
I remember when it used to snow 🥹

The townhouse complexes with asphalt driveways would go nuts at the marks in the driveways from the screws.. Do similar work and thats why we cant
One of those Kabota front loaders would be nice to have

You need two header trailers like they use for farming and then pull it behind the loader dow. The road to the next spot
Your not required to have plates in MN?
Stan your gonna need a dump truck to that snow money to the bank
When we plow we have to pile the snow on that property we can't push snow across a street or road
I feel like this scenario is where an aritc really struggles compared to a Metal pless or something along those lines.
Tell me that kubota doesnt have the smoothest shifting transmission, they got it perfect
