Capping the free edge speeds up chipping on me because I treat my hands roughly. It's great if you don't constantly get wear on your free nail edge though.
@@BrittMFH No didn´t think about ingrown nail.. just that curve looks like it´s pressing into skin,but if not then ooh, okey. Just looked painful for me, didn´t mean anything bad.

It's not painful at all. Just a regular c-curve that some of us have. It's not like an ingrown toe nail which you might be thinking of. 🙂

Should you cap the free edge of your nail if you use gel polish? I've heard you're not suppose to, but I don't see why not?
I do and helps polish last longer. Mine tend to chip at the edge if not capped. It doesn’t take much. I had to learn not to be so heavy handed.
