Well done on the Samsung video. It may have taken me four hours on an older model fridge but it is now up and running at 4 degrees. Once again thanks for the easy to follow video. With my hair dryer and Philips screw driver I feel qualified enough to apply for an apprenticeship as a technician.

Samsung brand refrigerators come out with some "cool" stuff. My parents actually bought this style and their very pleased with it.
just bought this and was delivered yesterday. although I went with the standard door (saved a few hundred $$). love the idea of the ice maker in the door so to allow more storage space. especially going from a 14 cu ft fridge .

Wow Samsung is doing great. In fact the double door at a friend's shop and l feel in love with the fridge and decided to buy one which l have bought. I think they could design a bigger one too.
I just watched a video on a fridge, I was expecting it was a large scale model kit. You do have great modeling skills, I need to start again.

I want to share something about the Samsung Model Refrigerator especially the one in the this video. If ever your coolant stops working on the refrigeration side ( not the freezer ). The main problem causing this is most likely the fan motor. And here is the problem which I believe is the factory's big over sight : the fan works to distribute the cold created on the coolant coil. The fan is located directly facing this coil and every time you open your frig. door temp drops and the coil creates condensation which build ice like snow this freezes the motor of the fan. This is the chain reactions that accrues although there is a humidity sensor.
The factory did not provide insulation within the fan motor plastic casing and at the rear of this casing facing the coolant coil.
I was able to find a insulation material and install it within the motor area and on the exterior side facing the coolant coil now the refrigeration side is now working perfectly. This will help prevent and protect the fan from freezing again. The fan is located right in front at the dwarf panel when you open the frig. door. straight ahead. There are four screws that you will need to remove plus two wire connectors.
I have reached out to the Samsung Company to provide this suggestion in how to correct this on going problem with this product. Otherwise, it's a great refrigerator.
So, before you pay anyone to repair this problem you can save your money and fix it yourself as I did.
I hope this will help anyone facing this issue.

Why does my fridge temp blink? Has a do I stop it please?
Nice fridge except for the panel buttons don't light up making it very difficult to see where to push for ice and water. If your lights are off at night it will be impossible to see. For that price I would expect back lighting from Samsung.
+Mike Regan Yeah, I was surprised at that. But, in it's defense my $1800 KitchenAid oven also does not have a back lit display and it's the same type of touchpanel for the controls.

hi!, I am facing some "problems" with this refrigerator and I want to know if happens the same to you (in case you still have it), the ice dispenser seams to accumulate humidity and makes it "leak", the water dispenser is having a minor leak like 3 or 4 drops of water per day, in the refrigerator side when I am just using the show case option I noticed some humidity in the door (on the small door at front where the handle matches). I appreciate your comments to know if it is time to do some maintenance or change it for a brand new

How has your samsung held up? We had to get rid of ours, as it kept freezing up in the back… apparently in the US there was a class action suit against samsung. Im in canada. My fridge was a different model then this one, it was the type with two doors, ice maker, and the freezer drawer at bottom.

How do you set the temperature
how did you make -3 back to -2 F? I have this exact fridge. there is no up and down buttons to change the temperature. very bad design on the fridge.
Directions to change temp are in the owners manual, it's very simple using the touchpad.

+jemma richardson All you will need is a water supply line for the icemaker/water dispenser. You will not need any type of drain plumbed in.
Nice video. I have an odd request, but are there leveling feet on both sides? My fridge only has one on the left, or freezer side, and it makes a lot of noise when opening the doors. Not sure if it a leveling issue but though I'de ask. Might need to shim that back casters. Thanks.
Yup, both front sides have leveling feet, I had to use them on my 135 year old floors.

RS25h5111 control panel/digital display on front has a light control button for the light to stay on or off. Somehow we got it into full time light and when we hold "light" button down for 3 secs it does not go away. Have looked at all youtube ways. Please help
You'd be better off calling Samsung and seeing if they can tell you how to reset.
we have Samsung Side by Side refrigerator...after defroast heater will stop...and after that compressor does not start upto 2 hrs....

I have no idea what you consider loud. It doesn't bother me at all and it certainly isn't as loud as a truck, but if you went through 3 fridges in 3 months, I have no idea what you might think is too loud.

I have an open floor plan kitchen and the kenmore was heard all over the house.A sort of humming, rattling... day and night, then I bought a second one Whirpool that was louder than the kenmore, I don't know how it was possible :)) then I bought a small danby for the garage because kenmore is unplugged definitely ..I still need a side by side with ice maker and water filter but it will be my 4th fridge in 3 months so I am a bit scared to make another mistake. thanks again .

How has this fridge held up to hand/finger prints?
No real issues. I have hard water so the tray under the water dispenser has some lime stains but the stainless on the face of the fridge is still clean.
Does the icemaker have steel/metal blades or plastic? Thanks for making this video.
Metal for the ice crusher, large plastic auger for the cube feed chute.

Not one mechanical issue yet. The ice maker clogged, where the ice falls out the hole into the glass, I had to remove the bin and clean it out with a spoon handle, but that wasn't a big issue and something that happens to many ice makers.

Samsung refridgerators are crap I bought and it went out 3 years of having it the ice maker and it would not keep the food cold don't buy it
So has mine. I heard they last about three years. They cost too much to keep paying for repairs.
What brand would you suggest ??Ive read so many bad reviews on all of the brands .
