Rodney's walk animation makes him look chill af, contrasting so much with the sheer brutality and violence that he swings his comically large wrench with.
+shelikesacnl Same here, I was never able to finish it since I was just a child and my native language was spanish so I could not understand a thing haha.
This game has an unbelievable amount of soul put into it. From the music to the gameplay design. Fast travel isnt just a click. Its literally a highway minigame which is awesome. One of my fave childhood games
You know I'm a few months shy of 20 years old now, and for some reason I remembered this game out of nowhere. It's so weird to think that i remember the exact set of pipes at 40:10 followed by the exact same trash monster from when I was five or six years old. What a nostalgia trip.
I had a similiar thing today, I'm 23 and out of knpwehete suddenly dreamt about the music. Took me ages to realise it was from this game that I didn't spend all that much time with
This was pretty good for a game based of of a movie. I had this for the DS I think it was a launch title but the DS and GBA version had an amazing soundtrack it just gives you that mid 2000s feel.
I feel dumb now it took me forever to get past after beating the security patrol I didn’t knew how to hover with the little flying robot to the other side lol
Aw man, I played this game as a kid, we drove down to North Carolina from Ohio, and my parents got my this, I beat the game 100% over the course of that trip since we got stuck in traffic lmao, good times
The music in Robots for Gameboy Advance is actually quite heavenly. But yes it's really quite difficult to find videogames for Gameboy Advance that use the exact music from the movie it is modeled after. Batman Forever for the Super Nintendo is an excellent example. It definitely does not use the music from the actual movie.
I wish I got the chance to finish this game. I know gameplay was really stiff but main the atmosphere, environment design, character models, and of course the music makes it worth it to push through
I remember I played this game for an entire day once. From the time I woke up to the time I went to sleep. I thought because I did that, I’d go stupid. So I stayed up a few extra hours doing math problems in my head so my brain didn’t rot. I was only like 5 or 6 lol.
I was so bad at games as a kid never was able to beat this game, now 24 years old revisiting a part of my childhood on the mission to finish this game. Music slaps so hard!!!
This was a good part of my childhood. The upgrade system was so innovative at the time and i still think it holds up. Putting together big jigsaw puzzles as you collect pieces just like a blueprint should.
Man I remember playing this game in 2005 on my Blue Gameboy Advance, Such Nostalgia watching this after 19 years, man different and simpler time then 11/11/2024
Replayed the ds-version and reloved it! Basicly the same game. Can’t seem to find the top middle picture of the gallery at 1:57:19 though. Anyone can help me out so I can give it a rest? :/
I used to play this a lot but I don't remember some of the parts I see in here. This is one game I'd wish to jump into and help out in for real. Not only that but I want to see the ENTIRE photo gallery!
I used to play this game when I was little, but I never completed it. There was something I got stuck on, but I can’t remember what. It wasn’t the final boss.
I remember what Iw as stuck on. It was some level more than halfway through the game where I had figure out some puzzle or some kinda door I had to open. Could never figure out how. Completely gave up 😅
This game has a bad reputation, and I understand why - but I owned this as a kid (and still do) and I thought it was great. So great that it gave me The Simpsons Hit and Run vibes while playing... not sure why, maybe it was because it's open world, and partly kid me seeing the Vivendi Universal and Fox Interactive logos. One way or another, in my opinion, this is a solid game and in many respects still holds up.
Im so sad im also unable to find the last two photos. I could swear i was able as a kid and the game showed that the progress was 101% when you did. But now im uncapable and that old game is long lost... I hope i get to find them some day! Great game!
Seems there's two items exclusive to the ds version. A Vox unit and a Light bulb. Problem is I can't find a Walkthrough where these or any items for that matter are
This game was my childhood. And the music is godly.
Absolutely. Especially the credits and intro soundtrack. Ugh, so amazing.
Ian Stocker is the composer. He has a youtube with a lot of his stuff, and is a super nice guy!
Yessss like wtf
I had the movie of it, but i never played the game of it before.
Ikr
1:26:44 i was obsessed with this music as a kid. its lodged in my memory. so calming. wow. i used to be so immersed in this world.
It’s like galactic Spyro like
Rodney's walk animation makes him look chill af, contrasting so much with the sheer brutality and violence that he swings his comically large wrench with.
Oh man...I used to play this a lot :) Thanks for giving me a huge throwback!
shelikesacnl my pleasure
+shelikesacnl Same here, I was never able to finish it since I was just a child and my native language was spanish so I could not understand a thing haha.
+Cesar Cuevas yah!It was so hard for me as a child to solve everything and I never finished it :D haha!
same here bro. I would always play this but I would always hate having to walk everywhere. felt like some of the levels were to far.
Lmao same here
So many painful memories
PIxelDragon Like the tiles in the last level, when you drop down a Dog would attack you? That took me 4 days.
PIxelDragon ikr
The hard part of the last level was the sweeper. Also, finding the stuff needed to make the magnet bomb was hard.
The hardest part of me was that last big jump before you get to Jack Hammer's shop. Anyone remember that?
This game has an unbelievable amount of soul put into it. From the music to the gameplay design. Fast travel isnt just a click. Its literally a highway minigame which is awesome. One of my fave childhood games
I came here from a tumblr post praising how good the music was in this game- they weren't kidding, this stuff is delish!
indeed it is
one of the best soundtracks in a GBA game
Ian Stocker, the composer, actually uploaded the complete soundtrack on RUclips.
One of the best OSTs after Megaman Zero OST, Pokemon OST and Zelda games
@@2zporygon Right up to the ranks of Superstar Saga and the Sonic Advance trilogy!

Those bosses are still a bit scary.

This here, this RIGHT HERE...used to scare me so much as a kid. You'd have all this upbeat music and you get this eerie title screen music.
This is the first video game I ever played. Thanks for giving me some nostalgia man! :D
Aw man, I played this game as a kid, we drove down to North Carolina from Ohio, and my parents got my this, I beat the game 100% over the course of that trip since we got stuck in traffic lmao, good times
15:36 I love how they kept some of Ewan McGregor’s grunts and screams.
Another happy landing

0:43 OMFG THE NOSTALGIA !!!

This game has one of best video game soundtracks ever.
Thank you for accompanying me during my childhood 🙏😇
I was so bad at games as a kid never was able to beat this game, now 24 years old revisiting a part of my childhood on the mission to finish this game. Music slaps so hard!!!
Ugh the nostalgia of me playing this at my grandma's house ❤
Why is the music really good lol? They went way too hard for a movie adaptation game. Well done, sir.
My favorite music is this one 5:55 it’s a vibe for some reason.
This was a good part of my childhood. The upgrade system was so innovative at the time and i still think it holds up. Putting together big jigsaw puzzles as you collect pieces just like a blueprint should.
Came along way since then. Hopefully everyone who played this game is blessed with the upmost 🤞
I loved to use the transit system... even though I found it hard to navigate.
Nostalgia at 3 am on summer nights bro I could never beat the security boss as a 7 year old
Man I remember playing this game in 2005 on my Blue Gameboy Advance, Such Nostalgia watching this after 19 years, man different and simpler time then

thanks to you after 16 years since starting this game i finally completed it
*OH, OH, OH MY-MY ACHING HEART I CANNOT I CAN'T I CANNOT TAKE THE NOSTALGIAAAAAAA!!!!!*
I think the music is impressive for a GBA like seriously HOW
and it also sounds like a Megaman Zero soundtrack or something which is cool
couldn't agree more
It also sounds like 80s synth pop tbh
Kraftwerkesque
I had 4 years old when i played this game i feel nostalgic

When i was a child, this game took me years :)
Now i see this video that takes less than 2 hours :) :)
I used to play this a lot but I don't remember some of the parts I see in here. This is one game I'd wish to jump into and help out in for real. Not only that but I want to see the ENTIRE photo gallery!
I would beat the entire game over and over lol
The soundtrack is pretty good for a licensed game

This game really takes me back on the Nintendo DS. Thanks for the gameplay video man. 😇👍🏻💙
One of the better games based on TV and movies
I used to play this game when I was little, but I never completed it. There was something I got stuck on, but I can’t remember what. It wasn’t the final boss.
I remember what Iw as stuck on. It was some level more than halfway through the game where I had figure out some puzzle or some kinda door I had to open. Could never figure out how. Completely gave up 😅
I could never get past the 2nd or 3rd level as a kid lol.

Everyday I find out some game I thought was gunna be garbage is actually a cool looking game. Need to find the movie ticket varient
Jack Hammer was the best theme
GOD I LOVED THIS SO MUCH
I watch this as a 25 year old to fall asleep because the music is so nostalgic
I just remembered how many games I got into between the GBA and PS2.
This game is VERY underrated if you ask me
So is the entire movie itself but I am rather a huge fan of it.
My first Gameboy completion it was the best day of my life as a kid
I just bought this game recently. I bought it before i even got my advance shipped but now i have both and im reliving it.
Kinda forgot how broken the electro zapper was. Also is it me or was the scrap launcher really underwhelming?
I remember this oh my god this brings back memories
The music is like from the 80's.
Nostalgia at it’s finest
i think i have this game since it came out and i’m still trying finish it...
I legit quit this game half way through as a child because I kept getting fucking lost! Upper City music is nostalgic as all heck though.
Does anyone knows where can I find the Minizetor? I refer to the 1:29:09 scene
Thanks in advance!
It is located somewhere in the room where the dance is held
1:50:21 Gasket looks terrifying!
the musics were goated, but also freaked me out alot
This brings back childhood memories 😌👍🏾
I think I accidentally cheated the game. I got to the final boss and didn't even go to about 3 of the areas.
Blue W lol happened to me too
Will Miles Subscriptions I know this is an old comment but how?
this was my childhood
The music in this game awakened something in me
4:50 these transit minigames give me Spyro Flight vibes.
The soundtrack had no reason to go so hard the way it did in this game!
I feel like soundtrack in video games were just so much better back then. Today, it’s alright I guess, but when we were kids? It was just 🔥
This game was too hard for 8 year old me. Just sticked to playing the ball racing mode lmao
Reminds me of Metroid Fusion, just for "smaller" kids? like Supersponge :D loved those games in my childhood
1:07:40 Looking back, did they accidentally use Cappy as a placeholder for this fetch quest or was that intentional.
no idea
1:01:35 Ratchet Screaming 1:25:39 Ratchet Screaming #2
For a video game movie it aint half bad at all, I always disliked movies that get their games, they were so hypocrite most of the time
I played and beat this game when i was 7 im just here because of nostalgia
I'm 2 years late to this, but same for me. It was my first ever game that I played. :')
@@merlijnnelis Dont worry, you didnt miss anything
3:28 Game Saved Successfully!
¡Partida Guardada!
Seems there's two items exclusive to the ds version. A Vox unit and a Light bulb. Problem is I can't find a Walkthrough where these or any items for that matter are
I feel like this game needs an ACTUAL 2nd review, because I feel like this game was crapped on for no reason. It actually looks like a blast to play.
so much memories ;)
Did you succeed the Hammer's mini game? Cos' I've never been able to finish it in my entire life...
I saw the film, I saw the game!
That was absolutely cooler!
This was my childhood oml
4:53 Sonic 2 Special Stages? Is that you?
Playing through this now, it's pretty good
I could NEVER beat this game. Ever 😂
7:33 Tim Laugh 7:44 Tim Laugh #2
Childhood. Very hard childhood.
The DS version is more or less the same as the GBA version just with better audio and use of the touch screen
How did video games get a Copyright
It looked like a real life game.
I never completed the adventure of the game but still love the movie
