Bike ride to the top of Mt Soledad in San Diego

Full video of a 23.4 mile ride around San Diego that includes climbing and descending Soledad Mountain Rd. Also included is a quick jaunt through UCSD.

It amazes me how fast you guys are just flying up that hill. I hope I can do that too someday.

That climb at 29:30 to 31:10 is pretty much what determines the rest of my day for me. I'm a novice rider right now, but Soledad is my new favorite route. On most days I can cruise right up, but on my worst days, I have to circle around that little driveway on the right a couple times before taking the rest of the climb to the top.
Not sure if you've taken the "steep side" of Soledad yet, but it would be cool to see what it's like before I try to take it and pass out 5 minutes in.

Haha! I've yet to try the other side of Mt Soledad as well - I consider myself to be a fairly strong cyclist, but I know that I wouldn't be able to do it. I know guys who do repeats of that climb every week. That's insane!
