    I bought my SVR in 2015 with the 550 BHP V8 and to be honest the exhaust sounds better than this current 575 BHP ultimate edition model and that is just unacceptable being nearly 7 years newer.
    The fact that the next SVR models will come with a Turbocharged BMW engine which sound like a damn blender is criminal and I'm definitely getting this one since it will hold it's value and possible increase due to the engine being the last of it's kind.
    Similar to the E46 and the E92 M3 a couple years back, this one will be a good investment.

      We traded away my wife’s ‘17 SVR for a ‘23 G63 - can honestly say we regret it. While there is fear of out of warranty problems, the quality of the ride was leaps and bounds ahead of the G63. Agree with @cooladam247 muting the ‘18-‘22 SVR is criminal.

      It’s not the manufacturers desire to make it sound more muted, the regulations changed for the 2018 model onwards. To the contrary, I’ve had both and by 2020 model still sounded more awesome than anything else in this class and price bracket (AMG’s included).

      How's that "holding value or increasing" theory going? Cost a lot to insure if you cna even get them insured and are going for £20k second hand. Yikes.

    • @CoolAdam247
      @CoolAdam247 19 дней назад

      @@averagesimguy598 I sold a 67 plate SVR for £41K three months ago.
      The ones you say are going for 20K are beaten up with over 100K miles on the clock.
      My original one ending up written off but I still got 27K from insurance.

    LOVED our '17 F-Type R... RIP as it was totaled when an elderly chap from Austria was speeding down the Blue Ridge Parkway and said that "he never saw us" before rear ending us as we were stopped making a left-hand turn into a park. The police said they figure he was going about 50MPH. Fortunately, the rigid cabin protected me and my wife as the car was relocated to about 50-to-100 yards across a barrier and into a field. No injuries though both cars had been totaled.

    Great video and beautiful scenery. I still find the idea of these super 2+ ton SUV’s
    travelling at the very high speeds that’s they are undoubtedly capable of mildly terrifying.

    The thing that amazes me about the SVR, is it’s a 4x4 that can also be a road car. That’s why it’s not as responsive as the Porsche, which in my opinion is a road car that has four wheel drive.
    The SVR can still go out in a boggy field, on a shoot or whatever then join a road and blast down it. The depth of capability is astounding all things considered.
    As for the comments about reliability, I’ve had three RR sports since 2015 and never had much of a problem. Yes the infotainment systems are crap, but other than that no issues 🤷🏻‍♂️
