The tea table is inspired by a popular drink party setting among the poets a few thousands of years ago. It is called 流觞曲水. They would make circulating canals beside a river, water gets in from one opening and let out in another end, (I don’t know the exact mechanism), creating a ever circulating flow within the circled canal. The poets would put liquor on a floating plate, and whenever the liquor passes in front an individual, that person could pick it up, make a poetry at the moment, drink it, then place it back to the canal. Then the poets would spend time talk more about everything until someone got inspired and makes more poetry. At the end of the party, someone would document all the poetry that was composed at the party and make it into a book to share with other people. It was quite an elegant and popular event.
This tradition is survived in today's Kyoto Japan. I'm not sure if I should say survived because the event becomes a show and a tourist attraction. I attended the event once, and it still made me wondered about what was described in 兰亭集序 1700 years ago.

Seeing how the house itself has blossomed over the years is really incredible! I've been watching since 2017 and have seen every video multiple times over, so something as "simple" as a new video from Liziqi is so exciting. I can't describe how much more peaceful my life is when I watch these videos.

I only found Lizqi in 2020, but I’ve binged all the video (of course) and they’re all so serene that I can tune out the rest of the world for a little while.
So nice to see that some things from the old days still remain: trading food for food. Thats the way it was before money was invented. I also wonder about the treatment of the freshly picked tea. Is this how it is fermented? The mix with all these blossoms must smell awesome. I would also spend a lot of time in the rose garden wandering from rose to rose and smelling each of the blossoms. The air there must be fragrant with their blooms. So nice to see visitors at Lizqis house. I am willing to bet that this self made tea mix tastes way better than the tea we can get here in Germany. After a few times visiting China, my husband loves drink tea and has his own tea sets for different teas in different tea ceremonies. His biggest wish is to have his own tea room with his tea pot collection and a real tea table similar like the one in this video with tea friends. Sadly the culture we live is still alcohol base. His only tea friend is so far only me.
U can try to make this table with him, if u have time for tea ceremony u would have time to do this, it would be a good time & memory. And this table not only for tea, it could be use to serve coffee with your coffee mate, or for alcohol buddy. Ancient Chinese also use it to serve wine.

Seeing how the house itself has blossomed over the years is really incredible! I've been watching since 2017 and have seen every video multiple times over, so something as "simple" as a new video from Liziqi is so exciting. I can't describe how much more peaceful my life is when I watch these videos.
I understand what you mean. It’s moments of bliss that I feel like I’m sharing w her. Mind completely focused on living unlike what life is like usually. I only found Lizqi in 2020, but I’ve binged all the video (of course) and they’re all so serene that I can tune out the rest of the world for a little while.
These videos fill me with so much peace. I feel homesick for somewhere I've never been.
So nice to see that some things from the old days still remain: trading food for food. Thats the way it was before money was invented. I also wonder about the treatment of the freshly picked tea. Is this how it is fermented? The mix with all these blossoms must smell awesome. I would also spend a lot of time in the rose garden wandering from rose to rose and smelling each of the blossoms. The air there must be fragrant with their blooms. So nice to see visitors at Lizqis house. I am willing to bet that this self made tea mix tastes way better than the tea we can get here in Germany. That table with the water garden in the middle is awesome!
You can see how farmers making this fresh green tea in early spring if you visit green tea area in China. Fresh green tea really taste great.

It's actually Chinese traditional lifestyle between poets and artists back in ancient times, drinking wine or tea from a winding canal with one cup floating on it so as to wash away ominousness. While the cup stop in front of you, you gonna pick up the cup and make a poem. It's called 曲水流觞

Liziqi's place is so dreamy and serene. The tea time reminded me of "Yum Cha" when we lived in Hong Kong. Green tea leaves, oosmanthus Tea, rose tea, jasmine tea, and oolong tea, are some of my favorites. The table caught my eye too- how the water can have a clockwise flow is fantastic feature. After a few times visiting China, my husband loves drink tea and has his own tea sets for different teas in different tea ceremonies. His biggest wish is to have his own tea room with his tea pot collection and a real tea table similar like the one in this video with tea friends. Sadly the culture we live is still alcohol base. His only tea friend is so far only me.
A lot of Chinese actually prefer tea over alcohol when hanging out with close friends. One is enough if it’s the right person :)

You can go to the Chinese countryside and rent the land. My mother only needs 200 RMB a year to rent the land for planting vegetables and flowers, which is very cheap, because many people go out to work in China's rural areas, and there are not many people on the farmland
