At first I was skeptical because it looks like it would not hold much weight but after seeing that he was sitting and laying on it for a bit, I’m amazed how it turned out. Great job! 👏

Back in the 70’s I left my then husband and moved back to my home state. Found a job and a little double. Built a sofa from a cardboard box, found directions in a book at the library. Cushions were trash bags filled with the heavier balloons. You blew the balloons up to a certain point, placed them just so in the trash bag, secured them and laid them on the sofa frame. A large throw served as the covering. Didn’t turn out too bad. Spent what money I had on a refrigerator and stove. Saved up to later buy that ugly olive green, fake fur sofa and chair that I could afford! Sometimes ta do what ya gotta do. Probably a family photo here somewhere with that trash bag sofa someplace! People wouldn’t dream of doing that now.
There are quite a few lessons one can take away from this! Pretty impressive! There are many times when we need something and would be very happy to construct it from found items. Thanks for the inspiration!❤️🇨🇦

This gave me a really good idea, I wouldn’t use this exact design but times are hard right now, we don’t really use the living room so I wouldn’t use it much but at least the apartment wouldn’t look so empty until I can afford to by real furniture.
