One of the greatest live shows I ever had the privilege of witnessing in 1995. I had already seen each of them on their solo tours in years before, but seeing them together was magical!
This song always makes me cry tears of joy.... I never got to see LZ but I had the pleasure of seeing Plant & Page twice approximately 1994-1995. Once for the Unledded tour at the old Boston Garden [with the Boston Symphony Orchestra], and then a handful of months later at the new Fleet Center [now TD Garden] which was a full on eclectric show. That 1st Unplugged show with the BSO is arguably the best show I have ever been to considering the history of the band, the Orchestra & the venue... I was about 21/22 yrs old at the time and just thinking about it now makes my eyes water... There was sooo much love and unity in that arena that night that it was palpable... 💯☮🎶♥️
I saw Page and Plant in 98 in Dallas. Was my first concert. I was 15 and got jimmy to wave at me during the intro of Going to California. 3rd greatest night of my life so far behind my twins being born and my son having his small intestine and liver transplant when he was 2. Been to hundreds of concerts the past 24 years and nothing has ever been close.
This is the FIRST post-Bohnam video I've ever watched. I never really wanted to see it for some reason. This time I tuned in bc my man Jamel put it out there!! That's it. By far the nicest guy and best reactor on the net!! I loved it. Jimmy and Robert absolutely nailed it. The orchestra was beautiful. Almost everything was right about this. RIP Bonzo!!
My favorite LZ song...and I was at the 1973 MSG concert when they did The Song Remains the Same/ The Rain Song in order and it was just astonishingly beautiful...I also saw this tour and it was just brilliant!
My favorite acoustic song ever. I remember when it came out trying to learn it in standard tuning, could never get it right, finally GP magazine tabbed it in the alternate tuning he uses and it's not a very difficult song to play. Having said that how in the world JP composed this in that odd tuning is simply mind blowing. And finally, to play it live in front of an orchestra like that flawlessly is another mind bender. Hard for me to say too much good about this composition.
I’ve seen Robert Plant 4 times since 2013. His band is amazing and my Lord he is a diamond in this world. He has the perfect voice. I love Rain Song !❤️
Hearing the lyrics talking about Winter and never really thinking those days will actually come really hit my heart...hard. All ya'll that are lucky enough to have your parents, siblings and any family and friends you love, alive and well, please say a special prayer tonight and every night, thanking God, the Universe or whatever you believe, for your time here on earth with them. And tell THEM every single day how much you love and appreciate them. You never know if tomorrow is too late 💜
I was fortunate enough to see the concert twice. Once in Knoxville, TN and once in Lexington, KY. There had been a couple of off days between their last performance and Knoxville. Plant did an interview where he said they hung out at Dolly Parton's cabin in the Smokey Mountains. I thought I could finally die after seeing"Since I've Been Loving You."
