- Hi, after my usual five months summer move to Austria, I am back at home in Thailand... and it gave me a rough start! The next SUN2000GTIL debacle happened...
On our property, all energy systems (PV, Powerwalls, etc.) are DIY. Please check my Playlists for other content. Thanks

Welcome back Roland. Kind regards from Errol. Thanks for the videos.
Good to see you back Roland, greetings from Chiang Rai.
Welcome back roland
Hello again Roland. I have been injured with both rotator cuffs (from repetitive bad arm movements reorganizing heavy equipment on property) since May 2024. It has taken me many months to still recover. Been resting, taking medication, physio, more resting. I have not forgotten about sending you photos and video of the DC non polarized circuit breaker. I am not ignoring you. Just very tired and still a little sore from injuries.
@@Matthew_Australia oh, sorry to hear from your injury. Yes sure, you need to get better first. I don't mind waiting. Have a well recovery. see you
Good to see you back but not when the 2000's are broken bummer. My 1000's are still working as normal.
Yes, agree!
I think It's time to get rid of those Sun inverter's 😅
I'm thinking the same thing, as he is away sometimes they aren't very reliable. Great to see a new video Roland
@dietermaes3971 I know Roland system is different but I have been running my hybrid inverter (5.5kw the blue ones) for 4 years now without any issues. It's a reliability issue indeed.
The problem is that the only 100% suitable inverter which can solve my dilema is a Deye 3-phase Hybrid. Such an inverter with 6kW cost 2000 Usd shipped from China. It would replace the whole AC equipment, so make half of the investments obsolete. Now my bigger problem are actually the old second hand LFP cells. Those won't hold up much longer then a couple of years and would require to replace the second half of all investment done.
So my choice is to either write off the whole thing right now with a loss (and a 6000 Usd investment again which i don't have) or keep those inverters alive with the smallest possible expense until the whole thing is at a point where even this is getting pointless...what would you do?
Hi Roland great to see you back, do you have a link for the new board you have ordered?, one of mine has just stopped working with a short on the dc side.
@@mattclark7941 hi. at the moment I cannot recommend it as my board doesn't work. I bought at a new seller and communications are very poor. I can recommend only Jesudom Official Store they have great support. But you would have to ask them if they can provide you the newest boards with the TO247 IGBT. I hope i can solve my issue and will release a video one way or another anyways...
Good that your back in Thailand Rolland. I enjoy your videos and have learned at lot from them. I will eventually install a hybrid system on our house in Yasothon but need it to be near bullet proof as none of the relatives have any Electrical understanding if I have isdues. We are not living in the house at the moment it's only a holiday place for the next couple of years only brother in-law stays there and he never tell me about any problems until we arrive there. Now I have NT 300/300 internet so I started with ip security cameras. Maybe next a few solar panels and an a off-grid nverter. From what I am reading the PEA is more trouble than it is worth for a few baht feed to the grid. Are you approved to back feed to the grid?
Hi. Yes, a not exporting hybrid system like I have the Deye Hybrid would check all your requirements. PEA doesn't care about me as I am not asking anything for my exports. They call it sort of "registered system". I am giving them free electricity for 3000 Baht a month, so how could they complain :))
All the best there in Yasothon!
