I've been very happy with all my Olight knives with the exception of the Parrot. The opening mechanism on that leaves something to be desired as I said in my video on it...
I just bought a Freeze 2 Oknife in the copper, along with the matching Olight Baton 3 Pro in copper…sick!! I love them! Blade was super sharp and the light is extremely bright. Super pumped about the quality and look!
I felt that Olight would put out a quality knife when they decided to get into that game. Thanks for giving a truthful and illuminating review of them. I hope Olight takes notice of the things you said needed to be fixed.
Oh man....I added that rubato 3 to my list!! Love it...resembles bench made. I'm thinking I may get this for an everyday carry. Wonder if I can find a matching orange Olight flashlight to go with it.
That multittool near the end made me think of the multitool carabiners I just got from Amazon, sold by SZHOWORLD ($12), with pulleys on the bottom end, to put paracord though for multiple reasons. They're 1/4 inch (6 or 7 mm) thick, seem fairly heavy duty for their size ~ 3 1/2 inches ~ 9 cm long. Maybe would come in handy in the wild, if trying to hang food in a tree, or run paracord from one tree to another to dry clothes on? 🤔😁
I like my Rubato, comes in a nice carrying case and the red/black color is very nice. I just wish the latch was a bit more stern or positive, as it makes opening the knife feel flimsy. Beyond that, it's a good EDC knife.
My go-to for a while now has been a Coast DX126 razor knife. I like the Outdoor Edge Razorlite EDC and Onyx too for their form factor, but they aren't as good for cardboard. No more sharpening for me, and have found I just don't need a more robust blade than a razor knife 99% of the time.
What do you think about brass handle (I like) budget blades like Civivi Elementum stonewashed tanto knife, D2 steel blade; $40.80 on Amazon at the moment. ? I am probably getting that one soon. I just like brass for its antibacterial properties, and love the patina look, though I know many others who count ounces as if they're hiking 100 miles a day will not like the slightly heavier weight. 😋
They look like decent knives, but I can't help feeling they should be more in the $35-50 range. Until they make something that looks pretty special, I'll be sticking with Kershaw, CRKT, and Civivi for my EDC.
Light weight and very stylish, but twice the price of my favorite s for the last 20 years, the S&W branded Taylor assisted open SWAT series, plus they need skate board tape and moto tool work right out of the box. Unimpressed
I bought it! Get it! It’s so cool looking. Heavy but the cool factor is sick! And I got a matching Olight Baton 3 Pro in matching copper! My new EDC. 👍🏻
If a company is going to try to break into the knife market, it's important that they choose good designers and a good OEM. It looks like OLight has done both. I think the Rubato 3 is quite overpriced for 154CM and aluminum scales though.
I’m just sick of Chinese produced products. Bring back American-made. Yes, I’ll pay a little more if necessary. Yes, I’ll forego other things so that I can save up for American-made.
Haven't got through the whole video before making this but the quality of these knives should be decent, they are made by kizer but branded as olight :)
Great Video ! My main complaint on the "Olight" brand is the "Made in China" ! Have the Olight 21700 battery and 2300 lumen s EDC flashlight... (The moon light mode keeps me from being killed at "Star Parties" !) My Go To knife is the EDC Sog Trident w/seatbelt cutter set up for left hand use ! (reviewed by "nutnfancy" ! ! ! ) tjl P.S. the 18650 batteries can be replaced by two CR123 batteries... (Trying to reduce battery types -? ? ?_... AA, AAA, CR123, 18650, 21700... Failing I think.) The Lith Ion have lasted long term and have not leaked or corroded (Energizer for AA, AAA)
I think I’m the only guy in the world not impressed with Olight. I’ve had several of their flashlights fail after about a year of use. These knives look like rip offs of the Bugout and Civivi. That sticker looks exactly like a Civivi sticker.

Never thought I'd see you here, heavy metal.

I like these surprisingly more then I thought I would. Very solid colors
I have that exact knife and a lot of others, they are made by kizer and I've liked them all. They get the most work of all my knives I own!!

Check out the Olight Otacle U1 Carbon fiber razor knife.
Good to see the KRVs still kicking! Now M&P FPC worthy of sub2k status?

I must admit, I have a copper boker kalashnikov. They’re heavy but they show well.
I'm iot very excited for these even if they came with gimping and handle friction. I do like the copper scales though

Olight makes the Night claw necklace knife too
Love the orange and copper. I’d like to see the copper after a few years.

Why is watch not running?
I was just shopping for a knife. Unfortunately, my SCO Para is my go to edc.
Have you checked out the Heron? Beefy. I use it for camping
I don’t know if the logo is influencing me, but they remind me of Ontarios.
Another AMAZING knife review by OG NUTN
They look nice!
All 3 of those are good looking knives.
They look like decent knives, but I can't help feeling they should be more in the $35-50 range. Until they make something that looks pretty special, I'll be sticking with Kershaw, CRKT, and Civivi for my EDC.
Thanks for the review
Need part 2 of vehicle bug out kit, Lt Col.
Check out Grumpys blade butter to protect seal your blades, leather, etc
Have the same knife in odgreen love it
Just got mine. Best. Knife. I’ve. Owned.
I wish Olight would put out quality lights. At least they started strong with knives.
Whats your beef with their lights? Mine are great.
Light weight and very stylish, but twice the price of my favorite s for the last 20 years, the S&W branded Taylor assisted open SWAT series, plus they need skate board tape and moto tool work right out of the box. Unimpressed
I want the copper freeze
I bought it! Get it! It’s so cool looking. Heavy but the cool factor is sick! And I got a matching Olight Baton 3 Pro in matching copper! My new EDC. 👍🏻
Watch hand mod how to video??? I just can't find one I like. Do you have one???
I got the Oknife Sentry R1.
It is Huge
It is Awesome
It needs jimping 🙄
I would stick with a Honeybadger, D2 steel, mines been great TNP #69😊.
The orange one is my favorite of these.

Domo Arigato for Nutn

Just like Ruike who make Fenix flashlights
They look good but $90 for a foreign made knife is a little much to me

Domo arigato
Buy American, people.
Schefield ftw
Nice colors, but very poor jimping, not a buy for me.

Whatever the quality is, I’m trying to avoid knives made in China as much as possible.
