    Is anyone experiencing a glitch with the GR2 when clicking the Menu button or the rocker to access options, when the shooting dial is in certain modes like P or Auto? The Menu screen and options suddenly disappear as if I clicked the Menu button or rocker to exit

    I got this camera on your recommendation and I love the images that come out of it! I do find that it takes foreverrrrrr to focus and the snap focus feature doesn't work properly. Am I doing something wrong? Would you mind doing a video explaining this feature and how to best utilize it? Much love Eric!

    Following Eric's advice, I tried to use the GR II with a flash on P mode, but it keeps changing the aperture to F11 while leaving the shutter speed very slow. Is there any way to change this or should I just go back to manual settings?

    I have the sony a7 II but I would love to have a camera that looks more compact like the ricoh. A bigger lens sometimes seems to scare people. Any recommendation? Mount smaller lenses?

    Hi Eric, please could you do a specialist B&W video with how you shoot with it and what settings you use please and some basic street skills? The B&W are blockbuster from this camera but there is a learning curve.

    Hi Eric! If you have it in your pocket, and by mistake turns it on and the lense expandes, what will happen then? Is it a risk of breaking it?
    Or is there some kind of security-thingy that will step in?

    I purchased my Ricoh GR because of your recommendation. It has easily become my favorite camera over my X100T. I will miss the flash on the next model, but I will definitely purchase one if the lens is as sharp and lovely as it is currently. Thanks Eric for putting me in contact with this incredible camera.

      why would you say its become your favourite over the x100t? I'm currently deciding between the GRII and x100f!

    • @djcyberia
      @djcyberia 5 лет назад

      Raturnbull sorry for the late reply. Haha. I prefer the Ricoh over the X100T for two primary reasons. The size of the Ricoh and the incredible sharpness of the lens. The features and colors of the Fuji are superior, but I find the Ricoh easier to take about and shoot without people noticing it at all. If they make a new X80, I will most likely look into that as well. Fuji has a special color and look to their photos. Have fun shooting!

    Anyone tried both this and the coolpix A? I'm trying to decide between the 2 and it's a seriously hard choice. It seems like the GR is better overall, but the Nikon may have the edge for build quality/ reliability. I like that I can use my small sb400 flash with the Nikon too for bounce flash, which wouldn't work on the GR.

    Curious about this camera. I have a Nikon CoolPix A which shared the same sensor and is also a 28mm equivalent lens. I have hears the focusing on the GR ii is much better and the layout is designed to allow for one handed control. Not sure but I have heard the lens on the Coolpix A is much better (which it is great glass). What I do love about the Coolpix is that I can put it in my pocket. Also, I have made 13x19 prints from the files. I will say the GR ii feels a lot more rugged than the Coolpix A.

    3:44 BigHeadTaco uses the EF-X20 flash (from the original X-Pro1 release) with the GR, and Eduardo uses a miniature radio flash: ruclips.net/video/Ndq2B--guow/видео.html So perhaps those will suit GRIII-folk.
    I know you're wary of being gear-heavy, but definitely keen for your report on the GRIII (vs XF10?), and updates on how your G9+12mm are going (maybe review/compare with the Sigma 16mm)

    For me, fixed LCD is pretty useless for framing and getting interesting angles and POVs in street photography. Tilting LCD is essential, or else camera is out in front of you like a phone. Slow AF makes it even worse. Try a Sony 6xxx with 20mm 2.8 pancake, almost as small but so much better.
