Scott, because of you, I learned how to successfully draw & render hair. I used to avoid it like the plague, and whenever I attempted it, it was crap. Watching your livestreams showed me it wasn't something to be afraid of drawing, but something to look forward to!
I absolutely HATE drawing hair and as someone who primarily draws portaits thanks for giving me hope to improve my work with your style for reference 😂😂
Your videos manage to scratch my brain in just the way I need. They aren't too long or slow, yet not fast and hard to follow either. You cover every step and process neatly, BUT show it by applying it, not just giving one rigid tutorial. It really helps a lot having varied examples showing something as I've always had difficulty visualizing well and need lots of references. The errors you make and the experiences you put make it feel so human and alive too, not just a robot saying what to do. Its nice. Wonderful video and great explanation!
Thank you scott for these video's, before i came arcoss this channel i was really struggling with my art. But then one night i found you and i started trying new strategies and new art supplies and it changed everything. i really improved with your content so dont ever stop what your doing and keep going!!!
Can we also have a video about everything you know about drawing *fur*? I recently started learning how to draw dogs, and have no idea what I'm doing. 😅
Love this, thank you! How do you decide when to draw on both sides of the sketchbook/journal vs not? After seeing your hair journal, I got adventurous and did both sides, but I used acrylic paint and they stuck together.
I think when I use watercolor paper I can do both sides, but paper like this tanned paper is thin, and I'm using a colored pencil. So you would ruin the drawing on the other side by pressing down on it.
I love how Scott explains things. It's so easy to follow along and understand.
So true!
Hey this is the best Literally Everything I Know About I have seen!
Thank you so much! ♥
Top tier content! Thanks Scott!!
Thanks buddy!

That was fantastic. Gotta grab a couple of pencils now

@@ssavaart No problem!
I am currently halfway through a pencil portrait, and the hair has me stumped! This was super helpful to get me past the block, thank you so much 😄
I think through watching your videos I’ve accidentally copied your style of hair without knowing
Hi
Hiiii❤
Hi Scott! You are such an inspiration to me. I wouldn't be where I am drawing right now if it wasn't for you. Thank you for inspiring so many artists❤
Yo
I'm so bad at Afro textured hair, all my women of color look like Storm from X Men. Just in different hair colors. I'll need to practice more.
hi how ya doin howdy ho lovely day
Can we also have a video about everything you know about drawing *fur*?
I recently started learning how to draw dogs, and have no idea what I'm doing. 😅
I hate drawing hair, I could never understand how to apply texture to these bigger shapes, I hope Scotts tutorial will help me somehow
