You could. I just bought all the moving pieces to make 90’s R&B records in hardware and I prefer the sound quality of the gear but if you’re not from that era, you’ll find that the process is more time consuming and more difficult to execute so some people prefer the technology from today. I’m from that time, so I’m familiar with the equipment and its capabilities
@@blackanesebeats Imma be real with you, I am like barely 18 years old, but if I ever were to produce beats as a side hobby, I'd of course want to experience both eras. While you have everything at your fingertips now, I can see the process of producing like back then would be more enjoyable to do and also it would feel.. more organic, if you will. But from how music used to be back in the 90's and early 2000's, I'd much rather produce how the music I love was produced. Although, I am pretty sure you can make old school hip-hop beats even with the newer technology. To make it SOUND like it was back then, not sure. Overall I just prefer old school hip-hop, including how it was produced over new school, but both eras are good in their own unique way.
@@jolereplica I know what you mean. I have the old gear and while it does SOUND way better, it can prove difficult to move a record in today’s setting at that pace. If I’m making music for my own enjoyment, I don’t mind waiting the extra 2-3 minutes for the patterns to save to floppy disk lol. But in the studio, working, today’s artists would never wanna wait … microwave culture has sped up the work flow and what we see as efficiency so I’ll usually defer to software in a paid situation
@@TameemAlkadi no problem, I’m using FL Studio 20 right now to run midi through hardware … the studio I work at has a Korg that I re-route back into the interface … after that, I mix down on FL Studio again …
I think it’s a moog patch I programmed from Arturia if I remember correctly. Very common bass synth though. Just find one with resonance and modify the cutoff filter
I don’t remember … I’m pretty sure those are out of the Korg board. I bought one last year and I use it for mostly everything except for bass … the bass sounds are a little hacky so I think I mixed those Korg sounds with a moog plugin or something like that
@@AkiriSu1 you can mostly look into “90’s R&B” but they have sub genres like “new Jack swing” that you can look up too if you wanna look into like some of the sub genres that they have during that time period.

Nah if I wanna make a beat like they did in the 90s, I may as well just buy all the equipment.

Put it on radio hot one o five
hey what bassline is the synth bs from ?
I think it’s a moog patch I programmed from Arturia if I remember correctly. Very common bass synth though. Just find one with resonance and modify the cutoff filter
Where you get that "hey" sound effect from
It’s an old sample from back in the day. Many of the greats have pulled that one out of the hat over the years lol
How much do you charge for beats?
Yes
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
What did u used as synth for the strings?
I don’t remember … I’m pretty sure those are out of the Korg board. I bought one last year and I use it for mostly everything except for bass … the bass sounds are a little hacky so I think I mixed those Korg sounds with a moog plugin or something like that
where to get keys sound u using
I think that sound might have been Purity by Luxonix for this video. I can’t remember
Where can i get these strings is it a kit ?
I’m pretty sure the strings are from Xpand … but if not, then most likely Nexus
May i know what kind of genre is this?
I kind of wanna study it more

name of the vst bass please
It’s the “Lately Bass” from the Yamaha TX81Z sound module …
@@blackanesebeats thank you man
@@deadbread8446 you can find some of them on eBay for like less than $150 … they’re not too bad in price yet
Yo what the drum kit
It’s old stuff I had laying around on floppy disks that I ran through an Akai S950 and then mixed … most of it is standard keyboard drums or mpc drums
@@blackanesebeats you think you can make it into a Drumkit?
This a Mid -MJ track right here
You never played the hook!!!!!!
I need to find this and upload the whole record! Made it a while back and I don’t remember what the project file name is 😩
