For those of us who just want to ride and aren’t overly bothered about ‘status’, switching to bikes from the far-east or India has been a ‘no-brainer’ for some time. The range of choice is expanding rapidly, running costs are low and durability is surprisingly good (and constantly improving). Existing leading brands will have to decide whether to stay in the game and compete toe to toe by shifting manufacturing to wherever its cheapest, or whether to move their range even further up-market in the hope of hanging on to a loyal following for whom the badge on the tank is the only thing that matters. I suspect most of us will become increasingly reluctant to pay the difference.
You must be rich. I would love to have money like that to burn. Country and brand name is not an option for me. For me I'm going with the cheap affordable Chinese. Half the price and as good of quality.
They said the same thing about Japanese bikes not so long ago. If you look at the history, anything that was made by Japanese like motorcycles and cars was considered trash. Now there are collectors of what use to be called trash. I'm going to buy a 2025 model soon as they hit the dealers. I know a lot of people that plan the same thing. I use to be loyal to USA brands but since they are not really USA made anymore, I have discontinued this mindset. My ford truck was made in Mexico. Clearly US brands don't care about brand loyalty anymore. Not only that, but they have priced themselves out of the market. The American people have been reduced to the lowest common denominator. Price!!! I can get near the same quality of bike for just a little over half the price. And another thing, CFMoto has a warranty that is 2 times that of most other companies. If they are willing to do that then they must have faith that the product is of good quality.
@@ibewscott69 Actually, I am literally in love with 2 bikes, one of them is an Indian FTR 1200. But I live in Europe, and the cost of purchasing and maintaining one is much higher than it should have been. Ironically enough, since many of its parts are made by European companies!

The old adage, you only get what you pay for may well apply here! Chinese copies are well known for their poor reliability and fail to understand all the tech that really goes into bike design! How many are involved in Moto GP's? Are they trying to steal the show without the technical know how? I have to say in mitigation, the beauty we see may not last, but how can you know until you buy and try! Risk your money first and be the bike test for the rest! The price point may win the day for Chinese bikes, but how long will they last and hold their value? Wait a few years and we will see! CF Moto are another level, it’s like what happened to Triumph, BSA and British engineering in the late 60s . They sat back when Japanese took over. The 3rd generation crap Chinese products are long gone . Overthinking and overtaking the Japanese and European rivals.
Replying to thelittlesignpost. What are the requirements for Moto GP? The Chinese manufactures are getting towards the displacement required for Moto GP. They're building a good lineup of models for sale to secure a stable business model instead focusing on and betting the farm for racing in Moto GP. CFMoto for the short time they have been in Moto3 have done very well. 2024 World Championship. How well would a liter bike sell in the Asia market to justify all the R&D and money to make it available to a market that cannot afford it. The Chinese will have to build a customer base elsewhere in the world to sell their liter bikes in volume at an affordable price the same way the Japanese brands did years ago to support a Moto GP effort. How well do their liter bikes sell in Japan compared to the rest of their lineup. The European brands in Moto GP sell liter bikes in low volume that are 5 and 6 times the cost of what sells in the Asian market. They rely on worldwide sales at a premium price point for their sales numbers. China is not there yet. I am really not telling you anything you did not take into consideration of how a manufacturer would jump into Moto GP. CFMoto's in Europe get a four-year warranty and price point that is hard to resist. Here in America, we only get a two-year warranty that you can extend out to six years that includes all free service cost for those six years. And the retail price point is cheaper here than in Europe. I have the 450SS/SR that was designed in Italy. ABS/ECU/ fueling by Bosch, Brembo brakes. To use your scripted.
In Denmark (Europe) where I live, I see no competition to Japanese motorcycles. It may come. Competition is always welcome.
I won’t be having a Chinese bike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You must be rich. I would love to have money like that to burn. Country and brand name is not an option for me. For me I'm going with the cheap affordable Chinese. Half the price and as good of quality.
Who wants a second hand Chinese bike? Even if they are good, will not be easy to sale
True
They all seem to be in the same sector - so will compete with each other. Low residual values will make the true cost of ownership very high.
Many of us choose to ride because of the freedom, and you choose a bike based on style and something to stir your soul, and to inthrall you. For me these Chinese bikes are soulless utilitarian showcase of technology that I personally don’t want or need. They are a bit like the Kia equivalent of a car but in a bike.
They are motorcycles without soul or spirit ⚡
greetings Beachhhh ⚡
People, you should never underestimate the competition. Chinese manufacturing is improving by the day and so is their innovation. That is why they have the fastest growing economy in the world.
already have one, a sports Jincheng JC 200, looks awesome, rides well and is very reliable
It's good to have more option and variation that we consumer can choose to. It's a win win...
No, thank you. Between 1977 and 2014 I've been with Honda. Great bikes. I've stopped riding in 2014 when I became 60.
Thanks for your anecdote! I'm glad you enjoyed motorcycles in your youth!
a big hug Jossss! remember to subscribe 🫡🫡🫡
I Got a Zontes chines bike now and wouldnt go back
I have a Benelli TRK 502. Same.
Without a doubt a good choice of motorcycle!!!
greetings GoFlyyy 👊👊👊
I'm going for the CFMOTO 450MT
You won’t. It is hard to sell that if it is not new.
Maybe we'll see more innovation and better prices from the big brands after China put some pressure on them. I think it's a good thing to have more competition between brands
There's a reason for 'Unbeatable Prices' - Anyw, if U just wanna be seen on a bike, any bike with just 'Groundbreaking Design' and funky technology for Insta, TikTok & static 'look at how cool I look' social media posts, then these are for you
Those of us who actually Ride TF outta our Japanese & European bikes are willing to cough up the Extra Cash for such machines
It is what's on the inside that matters and I'm not convinced because they have a reputation of producing mass but it wil bacome clear in 1-2 decades and I will wait for feedback from other riders.
Am impressed 😮
That's the future... Chinese motorcycles
thankss for commentign David! ✌️
Definitivno su novi kinezi top. Moraću kupiti neki od modela.
They will destroy overpriced.
Jose! Chinese motorcycles are the future 👊
In some countries, Chinese motorcycles in the same category are up to 25% cheaper
thannks for commenting Jossse
The biggest problem for Chinese manufacturers is finding a good name for their products, the rest is ok
Yes i was thinking the same thing. CFMoto is calling one of their bikes Ibex. That name sucks. They named the one 675ss. Just think if they called it dragon instead. Their marketing skills is not to great when it comes to names.
Nice
greetingsss Rishi 😎😎😎
thanksss for commenting Brottt
They are able to make from the lowest quality to the highest quality, it all depends on the buyer's money
Don't Have One Yet But Thinking About It. Chinese Manufacturers Should Give A SERVICE MANUAL With Each Bike & Explain About Parts Availability, Not Universal Parts But Specific To That Machine. Thank You. (Like #405 - Comment #189)
I buy last year VENOM motorcycle 250 and very happy with bikt easy to ride and look like Kawasaki ninja ❤
I purchased my 2022 Benelli Tik 502 7500 Mi on in 2 years that's the most I put one if I can a short period of time. Handles great not too much on the tech 🎉 side but it was an entry point for me for the ABV bikes. It has been nothing but reliable Italian company made in China
It's hard to get on Chinese bikes when Japanese ones are available widely, since you don't need to always buy newest one, 5 years old bike is as good as new one with lower price tag. So It will take some years till Chinese motorcycle gets some broader attention.
I once wanted to help a guy next to the road on a Chinese bike...unfortunately my spark plug spanner did not fit !
Good luck finding parts.
In 60s & early 70s the Japanese was cheap to buy from 80s raised their head so will Chinese but they will keep their products less for the market competition
thankss for commenting Dante 🫡🫡🫡🫡
China said many years ago they would take over WITHOUT one shot being fired, but if it's good and sensible price that's what it's about. Political views to one side that's down to them.
I don’t want a Chinese bike
Why pay more?
@@侯盛沥poor build quality, poor service after sale, poor resale value, unreliable (I wont risk my life) especially on corners and rain, can’t get broken parts.. on and on..
Bikers are not poor to consider cheap bike and risking life.
suit yourself on your outdated expensive famous brand while paying more for a poor innovation. wahahahaha
@@RogerCanda famous brand cant even invent a tft display to their high end bikes. cant imagine an expensive new model brand of bikes still using a cheap build lcd display because cheap cost will gain more money while telling fools like you that their famous brand is high end technology even it got poor parts wahahaha. thats an excuse for a poor willing victim for the brand especially you already got it. keep on making excuse for many years to come while you expensive brand is still at the low end side of innovation. wahahahaha.
With tracking devices 🫡
They are just so heavy and underpowered nice looking bikes and cheap
Yes waiting for chinese bikes
Those who have money without hesitation would buy european and japanese bikes
And us who don't will buy the most reliable small bikes.
After trying Triumph,Moto Guzzi and BMW and Harley Davidson.I am back riding a Kawasaki. It was an expensive experiment but I learned my lesson.
Buying just seeing Cheap or Affordable DON'T MAKE SENCE, It Will Gonna DISASTROUS PROBLEMATIC Things After BUYING.
What ABOUT THE SERVICES, PARTS AVAILABLE???😏😰🥵😢😭
Spending Little Bit More On To Regular BRANDED MAKE MORE SENCE Bcz You Can Go Anywhere, Anytime, Get SERVICES Anywhere, NO PROBLEMS, 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I got Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail and its a badass
Its about time
Time will tell, how good they are,
I wouldnt touch one with a barge pole, i had a scooter once and it fell apart any nut or bolt would strip as harsly any of them are tightened properly because of that! The frame was rustimg from brand new ect ect , the thought of going fast on one is a no go for me.
Where's the Harley Fat Boy replica?😂 Gonna need a couple decades of proven reliability and accessible parts and maintenance before I consider any.
Nice!
I worked at an Australian motorcycle dealership in 2022. Cfmoto bike were so cheap that the owner had half the shop full of them. I won't buy one. Japanese for me.
without the invention of chinese tft display, all famous brand will still be using an outdated lcd panel on their high end bikes.
It doesn't really matter. I prefer the classical analogue instruments but have no problems using the "outdated" console on my 2018 SV650. It works nicely.
Great!
I would buy maybe maybe maybe a CFmoto maybe
They look okay, but not for me. I don't want to give my money to china
hahahahahahahha! nobody loves china
But my friend! Unfortunately, Chinese motorcycles are the future 😑😑😑😑
all good, but so far havent seen even 1 chinese bike here on the road
I treba da razjebu celu industriju.Cene do neba,a sada u raspadu.Za mene ,prioritet KINEZI. Cicak Zemunac Kinezi samo napred.
I am concerned about the short cut in quality materials may prove to be the downfall, looks can be deceiving! Tofu Dregs???
But still, the looks and design is very enticing 😁
Try looking at Moto 2 to see how they are doing, not to mention the TT races in the lightweight TT
Voge 900 uses the same engine as the BMW GS900 which is made in china.
You fail to understand all the tech that really went into my bikes design.
Chinese bikes over $10,000. Im getting old and will die anyway.
Chinese motorcycles with 4-cylinder inline engines and 125 horsepower for less than 10k
which are produced in the same factories where KTM manufactures several models 🤙🤙🤙🤙
If they are so good, why don't they compete in at least WSBK. MotoGP I know is costly.
I hope they come with a decent warranty and tool kit😂😂.
THey will dominate the motorcycle market, just like this did with EVs. Good for us consumers
I Want a Bike! Can be African bike, Chinese bike, Tai Bike... Just one for now!
Cheap means nasty
Ducati❤❤❤❤ nemoguće ga je kopirati!! Made in Italy!!😊😊😊😊❤
when you buy a bike dont risk quality n reability . it can be much more expensive
KTM manufactures the Duke 790 models in China and no one questions the quality of the product
I think the quality of Chinese motorcycles is increasing 🤙🤙🤙
Are there any real European Motorcycle Brands left anyway?
Sure
Moto Guzzi fully build in Italy
BMW Boxer engine models build in Germany.
Norton UK
Aprilia, Ducati, Motoguzzi, Triumph, MV Agusta, BMW.
Very few... and in the end they will all move their production to China!!
That is the future of motorcycles
thanksss for commenting Constantino 👍🤙👍🤙
I'll never buy a chinese bike... painted iron can never be gold
I'll be keeping my old bikes, new bikes are way to expensive and not worth the money.
not putting my sweet head on a Chinese motorcycle
Es ist nicht schwer zu erraten vom welchem Hersteller kopiert haben
Honda for ever.😊
I am a mechanic 40 years I don’t buy Chinese equipment !!!!!! ,they look great ,but that’s it ,
Times have changed old timer. Chinese have a Space Station built from scratch. No doubt they can build a good bike

@@Darkmatter321 I live in a town of 100,000 people, with countless bike shops and small engine mechanics... I know many of them personally and none of them will work on anything made in China.
Chinese brands just look good but internally, so so especially in electronics. It might work out for few hundred Kms but it will have issues in the long run.
They have to prove themself's first Chinese bikes come with a reputation of being low quality that's why the prices are so low?
When I see "..destroy..." I know it's a clickbait

@@SuPreMeBikeRs ok... Maybe I was overreacting, but it sounded so fake to my ears. So wrong, compared to just saying "rpms". On second thought though... It is more correct to say the whole words than just the initials. It just struck me so strange, that I drew comparisons with the AI narrated videos in RUclips - they are so many nowadays, regarding motorcycles.
My apologies then!
Great free time bikes, eats all of your free time to fix it before a ride.
Chinese giving all features but what ia the reliability, trust of these Chinese bikes
Considering the average anual wage in most European countries is a bit more than 12 000 €, all those models are a steal for the People's wallet, indeed - so the People, "the little guy", is better off buying a used car for personal transport than a motorcycle.
- Taking in account how bad things are growing, the Motorcycle is becoming more and more a Luxury item - even low CC/Hp models like 125cc, that costs almost a half year's wage.
I wouldnt touch em with a barge pole.
Mid to long term, way to likely to corrode or fail at critical places.
If you think these Chinese bikes are built to a budget you need to do yourself a favour and research them yourself.
Their cars are 10 years ahead and bikes £££££ lower.
GOOD LUCK!
Beware. The fact that you get what you pay for, has not changed. Chinese might beat European, but really, is that a good benchmark? I will stick with my old Yamaha TT and Honda CBF. No disrespect intended, i just cant trust them.
I like Japanese motor bike..
No Western Biker will ride a Chinese Bike.
I simply won't buy a Chinese bike, I haven't forgotten covid
Hahaha yes
So you wont be having a german bike then cos of the war? Or american cos of their unjustified wars in vietnam, korea, Iraq? Or british cos of their relentless colonisation? Hmmm, doesnt seem so bad now does it?

@@Laavaavaal In fact, not even war against red skin Americans was not justifed, not to mention all the others. Give me just one war (after Second WW) America participated which was fair? Not even one...
Did you forget pearl harbor? Did you forget that US funded covid? Did you forget that almost all have parts made in china? Did you forget that Harley Davidson is moving to India? There are a lot of things you are forgetting to have loyalty to a countries products. If it was 30 years ago i would agree. Things have changed. The lines have been blurred. Things are not what they seem anymore. So will you buy a product who's name and location of origin is not Chinese but is made in china? Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Indian all have their motors made by Chinese companies. Most of the electronics on the these bikes are made in china. One way or another you are giving business to china. The quality is not an issue because they just use the same manufacturing plants that make all the others parts. Your heart is in the right place, but unfortunately the manufactures of products have no such loyalty.
It all comes down to the least common denominator. Price!!!
Parts availability and durability is the issue
I dont mind expensive bike but quality than to buy cheapest bike especially china made, but year after lots of problem occur.
