#4 is incorrect. You can hunt all of shawnee, the 8000 acres is just designed wilderness area, meaning no logging ect. But you can hunt all 60,000 acres except the state park area
Can you small game hunt with a 22 rifle in dillon wildlife area? I was able to at alum creek growing up but it's only shotgun and bow now from what I understand
Great information. TY for sharing. I live in upstate NY on the PA border and have traveled to SE OH the last 2 years to hunt around Vinton Furnace and Highlandtown. I have come close including a 170"+ buck on a rainy day that I could not film. I am still trying to find that area where I feel comfortable going back to a second year. I just subscribed to your channel. Take a look at some of my OH videos over the last two years. WhiteTALES Deer Hunting. Curt
@@reddawng43x91 I wish we would have run into more deer on that trip. I would have gone back for sure. Saw him chase a doe under my stand at a dead sprint in the pouring rain the last day of our hunt. We hunted big forest land with plenty of elevation change the first year. Last year we hunted public adjacent to farmland. Now we are going to take what we learned E scout and then put boots on the ground in March to hunt OH again Fall 2024. Plenty of nights I wake up in a cold sweat hoping maybe in this dream he stops 10 yards from my tree this time! 😅
You are telling everyone out of state (like myself) starting points to hone in on, which would lead to more hunting pressure. Fortunately you didn't mention a spot in Eastern Ohio iv been looking at haha
I'm a local I've seen people as farway as Arizona and Washington state hunting in the conesville coal lands and Woodbury its over populated with a in state and out of state hunters
Conesville gets hammered. Low pressure is an incorrect statement. A correct statement would be- It used to be good and now it’s not. Even archery season is busy. When it was good, they should have had a wear Kevlar vest under your orange vest requirement. More than one occasion I have heard the riffled slug whistle over my head. The good ol days. Bring a straw hat and blue pocketless pants and you’ll fit right in. The good places aren’t on the list!
#1 isn’t on this list Woodbury is over hunted and the amount of pressure it sees is unreal you can hike 2 miles back into it and still find tree stands. IMO the best public land is the smaller pieces of public that nobody talks about. I will give a hint to one of the best areas and it’s within 40 minutes of Woodbury
I have hunted 3 of the 5 "best" spots on this list and low pressure is laughable false, the spots I hunted were covered up with out of State hunters crawling all over eachother shooting the first two year old buck that walked by..No thanks Ohio

If I planned on doing a 3-4 day hunt, am I aloud to camp overnight ?
Thank you for information
Glad you enjoyed
Need to plan a trip up there sometime. In SWVA now so hilly is not a problem.
Thanks for the video.

What about Tri-Valley in Muskingum county
I didn’t see that one! I will have to check it out this year
Shhhhhh

Thanks for spreading the word, now these places can get hit even harder!!
😂 thanks
If you guys are worried about other people coming in and hunting PUBLIC land maybe you should reevaluate your meaning of hunting
How do they rank as far as trophy’s?
We have a series on TikTok you could follow showing the trophy ranks
Our TikTok is hittinthesticks1
Pressure here on public land is unbelievable anymore.

I will do number 4 very soon!
Dillon is a waste of time for almost any game

Woodbury has more pressure than any where ive been in the US. ! Not good.
Woodbury sucks now. Way too much pressure.
Pressure is good during gun season
#5 was horrible 2 years ago 6 days of hunting saw 2 deer sucked
They all dropped to bottom of the barrel because of stuff like this. Lmao
How dare you. Fools.
