In my mechanical engineering final year project we designed a system of heat exchangers to condense that Biogas produced into Bio-oil after this Biomass Pyrolysis. Interesting video!
i dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would love any help you can offer me
@Brennan Shepherd I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Hi Sultan, can that bio oil be manufactured and used for commercial purposes? I have few more questions from you, that I cannot ask in public due to intellectual property issue. Can I can one of your contact details to discuss further?
Were you able to gather data of the performance of every component of your system with the use of your software of choice? And if yes, may I know what software you used for this presentation? Thank you very much in advance.
How is oxygen removed during pyrolysis? Is it substituted with an inert gas or is pyrolysis just another way of saying that you are operating under vacuum conditions
..... heat.... oxygen can be easily removed by heat. other gases like nitrogen or hydrogen need chemical degasification reactions for removal. actually oxygen helps in the degasification process. there aren't much free oxygen in the masses to begin with.
This would work well in the southeast US. It simply needs to be married to kudzu. I've been wondering for years why we're not making biofuels with kudzu.
Greeting from Dr..K.Pazhani. I wish to establish a mobile pyrolysis plant by using the locally abundantly available Prosopis Juliflora wood as the biomass to produce biochar and its byproducts. Kindly give the required details. K.Pazhani
to convert the waste into fuels, both the gases and potentially end product solids. And to convert without the pollutants created by burning. Basically to convert waste to fuels with few pollutants.
sorry i still can't understand. can someone explain me, what is the function of that orange pipe? are the chemical compounds a product? or is it used for raw material?
The thin orange pipe is for drying a fuel by a hot air (warmed while cooling a core). The thick orange pipe is wheather for discharging flue gas and heat a boiler.

but how does it make sense if we are using GAS in combustion as a fuel to get GAS from wood ?...............at the end how could we say that is it renewable ?
As far as I know the reaction needs to be burn on while the start only. Then the high temperature is keeping by the reactors coat and a biomass burns by itself. That is the key matter.
Using biomass coming from scraps, garbage or crops (such as corn) it is far more eco-friendly than petroleum and even wood. This is due to the fact that the combustion products released into the atmosphere do not come from underground or from an "accumulator" (the trees) which retain the carbon inside them, but are already present in the atmosphere. The problem with biomass is that it is not sufficient in terms of the amount of energy, and can become dangerous if fields are used to produce crops for biofuel production. It is dangerous because it could end up stealing space for crops for food purposes, as well as the heavy use of pesticides and fertilizers that irreparably damage the soil, but which are not taken into account because the crops would not be destined for food use. But hey, it sure is eco-friendly if nobody speculate on it
@@antoniovaccaro8538 This response is nonsense. Generalizations like "biomass is that it is not sufficient in terms of the amount of energy" are not borne out by reality. No external energy is required for pyrolysis unless it has been depleted by prior processes. For example, effluent from a biodigester has been depleted - so we add wood chips to add back energy and carbon. You might want to do a little more research on the use of crops used for biofuels. You seem unaware of miscanthus, willow, bamboo, and other crops that neither "steal space" nor require "heavy use of pesticides". I'm sure you're not a person who would intentionally spread misinformation, so I suggest you invest the effort to learn about the topic before condemning it in such strident terms.

Generally the tank is flushed with co2. It’s heavier than air and will push it out as it fills
This technology must be applied in Indonesia,

oh, btw, thank you very much for sharing this.
Software used for animation?
Why would you do this instead of burning the wood directly? Or composting it?
To get liquid and gas fuels and to my way of thinking to get soil improvers that sequester carbon from the waste wood.
to convert the waste into fuels, both the gases and potentially end product solids. And to convert without the pollutants created by burning. Basically to convert waste to fuels with few pollutants.

30% or so of the gas is burned to give continuous heat.

I’m looking forward to this technology spreading. I have heard that biomass, particularly wood, yields dioxins during combustion. Is this true?

Nitrogen is introduced into the reactor to remove volatile compounds such as H2O, CH4, CO2 and CO.. Correct me if am wrong, thanks!
Dont know. I am just an animation designer.
Nitrogen is introduced to deplete environment of any oxygen. If oxygen is introduced it could cause the hot pellets to catch smolder and or catch fire.
If I had to design that thing, I’d ad nitrogen to keep away all oxidative gasses. However, the design depends on what's your goal.
