As someone who tends to listen to youtube more than watch I did really like this format, that being said I'm really looking forward to whatever kind of content you put out.
I'm starting to feel very petty about games not having female main characters or female options. Between Reload not having the female option and Unicorn Overlord not having a female option I ended up not playing Unicorn Overlord even though I'm very interested in it. Part of me is like "I should be reasonable about it, it isn't a big deal and it would be very expensive and time consuming" but like my inner child is very weary of male characters being so consistently the default. I can't imagine a male character option being cut to reduce costs.
It’s annoying when devs don’t consider the women + nb people who are playing their games. It’s one thing when it’s a written main character like Cloud but all of the persona MCs are just silent self-inserts. I often choose girl MCs if given the option, usually their designs are better and (although I don’t always pursue romance in games) the boys are dateable. P3R especially has very queer-coded options that just should exist. I don’t think you’re being petty or unreasonable at all really
i like this style of video!! i like listening to podcasts/videos while i work (i've been making my way through the three houses streams slowly), but i like this style because i mostly *can* just listen without missing like gameplay or anything. i hope you make more of these!! also i'd love for engage streams!! i'm god's toughest soldier, i truly believe engage has one of the best fire emblem stories but that's mostly because i'm extremely camppilled
Remakes can be great when the studio does them in good faith, goes for both movies and games, especially where the original isn't already considered a masterpiece. On DLC: 50 dollars? That's crazy, is it a whole other game? No? Than they will not get my 50 bucks lol. I haven't played the remake, but I bought the original FF7 on Switch because it's on sale all the time, but that port is so unstable I just can't be bothered with playing it. Goodness I love crochet, I would love to see what you make. I went on a binge last month and made like four shawls, a blanket, a scarf, a few head bands, it was a good time. Total closet update haha. Turn the vest into a scarf maybe? Clothes for a later stuffed animal? Or rip it all up and save the yarn for something else, no shame in that.
For the P3R expansion pass it’s ~$47 CAD 😱 which is just a bit much for me. Also for your crocheting that’s crazy! I’m hoping to get my speed up but I’m really taking my time rn. For the piece I showed I’m thinking of unravelling it, grabbing 2 more spools of different colours, and making a bunch of squares that I can sew into a blanket that actually suits my height. The fabric is quite warm so I think I’ll get more use out of it as opposed to the little shawl I envisioned haha
omg I look forward to the Rebirth video!!! I loved the game and it took me forever to finish although I do understand what you mean when you say some big moments felt deflated. I think Barret and Dyne’s confrontation was done better in the original FF7 (I wouldn’t say Rebirth’s version of it is bad though). And also, I’m not a fan of them deleting Rocket Town and the original way of meeting Cid, but we’ll see what they do with him in the next game. This is a good style of video too btw

Red XIII’s age thing, Cait Sith being a robot (and who’s controlling him), they didn’t really try to milk those moments? Idk much about rocket town but I felt a bit like Vincent and Cid were tacked on at the end to introduce them but hopefully they get fleshed out in part 3 like they did with Red
Oof, this video is humbling me because I got both FF7R and P3R and I didn’t finish any of them. With P3R, I think I got half way but had to put it down though because I got sickly obsessed with Overlord Unicorn! It definitely allowed me to re-experience that fire emblem awakening SRPG itch that engage and house just do not deliver. Also, the character designs are so gorgeous! Granted, I got gay-baited and welp.. just welp. But then again, the romance element was a very minor addition so it’s hard to be upset about it. Edit: just finished the video. And I very much enjoyed this type of video style! It allows us to get a perspective of your journey without fully giving it all away. Kinda like a preview of what’s to come. That being said, super looking forward to your P3R video 👏
I also picked up UO after loving the demo! The art style really speaks to me, once I have more fuel I’m looking forward to playing more of it. The gay-baiting is annoying from anything lol, I’m sure I’ll pick up on it too. Games should just let ppl be gay, it’s not that much more work. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed!
I really liked Engage's Hard mode. It ensures you know what you are doing but isn't too punishing if you have an idea (no need to minimax or out characters in the best class, it can be beaten while having fun), the dlc on the other hand is impossible at hard mode!!! I also agree on the pricing of P3 Reload being far too high, they knew it would still sell but it's too much!!
Engage hard mode is kicking my ass 😂 and yeah for P3R DLC I think they upped the price because there are costumes and BGM included in the season pass but I’d prefer to just get the aigis episode separately. Sadly not an option but maybe they’ll change that closer to release
Love the pod! 2 months late ☺️ but I remember my 1st Maddening playthrough of engage, it’s doable but it’s definitely stressful if you don’t know what you’re doing like I didn’t 😭 enemies get sooooo fast… is it that serious
