    Okay crochet influencer??? Also I would eat up a Golden Deer hopes video, and will very much anticipate the rebirth, Naruto, and Crimson Flower vids 🙏 good luck starting school on the 20th!

    Rebirth does take a long time. Took me 150 hours to get to the end (I did all the side quests and exploration stuff). It’s taken me another 80 hours to do the combat trials, grind out some materia, see all the date sequences, craft all the accessories, finish all the hard mode mini games in the over-world. At hour 230 I’m finally starting Hard mode lol. I’ve seen people finish it faster, and I’m just like HOW!?! It’s the longest FF title bar none.

      THAT IS SO VALIDATING I was like completing all of the content, including another run on hard sounds like it would genuinely take forever, especially with having to redo so many things if you fail/die. I don’t think I will tackle hard mode just bc the game on normal is already so long and I didn’t even complete that. Definitely not a platinum title for me 😂 I hope your hard run goes smoothly haha

    I was so relaxed watching you work while you talked about Naruto. You could totally lean into this cozy vibe you've got going here

    I'm super impressed that you made a garment. I'm approaching about a year of crocheting and I've wanted to make a garment but am very intimidated by the idea. Most things I make I let the first one be as bad as it needs to be and consider it a learning experience lol. The sweater vest looks super impressive- I can imagine how much time it took to make.

      Omg thank you so much! You should get into garment making if that’s something you wanna try, idk maybe do what I did and start with value yarn so you have lots to work with but it’s not a huge money sink? And yeah i felt the same way about letting this piece be a learning experience and I feel way more confident for the next thing I make!

    That's awesome that you made an entire sweatervest like that (I'm not arts-and-crafty in the least). Even if it's not something you're gonna wear that's still an accomplishment. Also looking forward to the new content.

    You seem to have a good grasp of the mechanics of the fabric you’re making, so sorry if you’ve already considered this stuff, but a few points of advice if you’d like them:
    If you’re most interested in wearable garments, especially pullovers, it would make sense to try your hand at knitting and see if that works for you. People crochet sweaters all the time, but most would agree that it’s easier for a beginner to make nice drapey knit garments than crochet. Knitting just makes drapier fabric and has that expected wearable look.
    If you want crochet a wearable that isn’t stiff or chunky at all, consider something that’s made in a mesh pattern, or if not, look for patterns made with lower weight yarn and hook sizes larger than typically recommended for the yarn.
    And yeah, unfortunately I’ve never had good luck with 100% acrylic sweaters. Hobbii has acrylic blends that aren’t too much more expensive than standard acrylic if you order in large quantities. I haven’t tried Drops yet but I’ve heard they ship natural fibers at low prices.

      I learnt how to knit when I was in elementary school, so I still know how but I'm super out of practice. I do think you're right and that I should take it back up especially for sweaters and adjacent, I think if I tried the same vest but knit it would probably alleviate the issues I'm noticing, especially the stiffness. I think my next wearable will be a cardigan but I want that to have decent bulk so crochet might be better for that?
      As for yarn, hobbii is all over my feeds but I'll get hit with import taxes bc I live in Canada. I'm having a hard time shopping for things that aren't 100% acrylic and my local michaels' are always picked through for natural fibers, I appreciate the tip on Drops though! I'll poke around for them once I work through the stuff I do have. Thanks for watching!

      Premier everyday antipilling is the best acrylic I’ve encountered. I think It could work for a sweater. Also you could unravel wool sweaters and scarves from thrift stores if you’d enjoy all those extra steps. And yeah definitely go for it with the cardigan.

    Have you washed what you’ve made yet? Might shrink it some. Obviously just do a cool wash and dry it naturally unless you want to give it to a child. 😄✌

      It’s acrylic so I don’t think it’ll shrink but I’ll try to reshape it after a wash to see if the fit is nicer. I’ve also found some options to take it in in the back which also might help without making it look totally botched haha

    I really, really like the naruto series, but as you said the anime was too long and bloated by fillers. If you skip all of them it's length is cut in half, and most of the important things happen within 1/3 of the story. The main reason behind the choice of adding fillers was that being so popular the broadcasting companies wanted it to constantly release episodes, but the manga took time to write of course and they needed an excuse to be able to produce content while waiting for the story to progress!

      @sylphiemk  7 месяцев назад +1

      I love part 1 so much, and I'm enjoying shippuden a lot more than I remembered! But yeah the amount of filler makes a rewatch a bit trickier bc I'm also curious if any of it is worth watching? It's crazy though that 200 of the 500 shippuden episodes were just to make sure the show kept going and didn't overtake the manga

      @@sylphiemk i can tell you right now that only the six tails saga (around 6 episodes) is worth watching, as it introduces a Canon characters which the manga did not have a chance to present and it also provides context on other characters backstory. Skip all the rest without regrets!
