I was in the grip it like a baby bird group and i think thats one of the reasons why i have trouble creating the right motions, also at impact i feel like the clubface twists open. Tried a 10/10 maximum grip pressure and still was able to have loose wrists and was easier to swing properly and have a good release
I’ve mentioned to you before the advantage of having JumboMax brand grips on my clubs I’ve gone from strangling the club to holding the club in a controlled manner It’s the best move I ever did to learn to swing with confidence I’m not an employee or do I get a paycheck from them …I just want to share my experience with you and others Hold not strangle 👍⛳️👍
@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad This video should go into your archive Marcus It’s good to rewatch videos that teach good stuff and this one does just that and…. You wrapped it up in the most perfect collection of words … your relaxed when you creat motion compared to controlling motion Big Swede … if those words would sink into someone who’s trying to get control of their swing … well they would help big time Awesome video
I think it was Monte Scheinblum who asked tour pros and long drivers to shake his hand with the force that they use during the swing. Most said, they hold it "very lightly" but squeezed his hand to death. So as you said in the video, the feeling is very subjective and depends on the max power one has. As I understand it, the idea is to have the grip firm, but the wrist still flexible..?
I hold the grip at two out of ten in pressure.Any firmer and my arms tighten as well as shoulders. You can gauge pressure by holding the club firmly and then lightly. I can feel 2 or 5 or 10. Watch a professional baseball player when you see his bat flying into the crowd. Do you think that he is holding it at a 10? NO.
@@richardc6932 I'm glad you found what works for you but I have a hard time to compare with baseball. The bat has no face we need to control, the butt end helps the hitter to loose it and many swing the bat and intentionally let go at impact. I think we need more control when we use a golf club.
Thank you MARCUS for helping others and giving solid guidance on the game of golf. It is 3AM here in lower Alabama and I am up preparing for my Saturday round of golf. I start with reviewing your videos and taking notes. I have Dupydrens desease in my hands so it is difficult for me to get the right feel. Today I will think about grip pressure and try to make things happen instead of trying to control the club...
The way you teach this game is a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Marcus!
Thanks. 🙏
Thanks coach, you’re looking good👍
Thanks, I am on my way back. 👍
I’ve been working on a looser grip and thin a lot of shots especially short pitches!!! Thanks will experiment with this!!!
Sounds good. 👍
Great video Marcus, so happy to see you back..and doing well .🙏💪
Thanks, I hope to fully recovered within a year. 😊

👍⛳️👍
I think many golfers should try a thicker grip and see how it feels. 👍

Awesome video
Well explained! The more I try to hold the club back from releasing to early the more I hit behind the golf ball.
Sadly that is the story I hear from many golfers but we can change and succeed. 👍
Very well expressed and thought provoking!🤔
Glad you think so. 😊

Again, feel and real is very different. 😊
Marcus the magnificent
Thanks. 👍
I talk to the ball. Seems to help. If its listens to me 😂
I love to have a smart ball. 👍
my coach is always telling me to grip firmly, but stay flexible
That's a good plan. 👍
