Hey man, just picked up this game yesterday and omg did I get hit in the face with learning curve your tutorial videos are so far helping a ton and easy to follow thanks for taking the time
>Follow instructions to waste all available influence on relations with Lothern >Turn 61. Lothern is top 1 strongest faction with 9 settlements and still won't confederate Gotta love random aspects of this game
First time I tried alarielle, lothern was just ridiculously aggressive. Ended up fighting him and we just kept throwing our armies into a meat grinder against eachother. By the time you heal up and rebuild you go to attack or defend again and he’d have at least one army if not 2 with Alastar. So I restarted as a second play through - went straight for taking out saphery and lothern. Now I control everything inside the circle except for Cathery- working on moving to outside and securing with the elves that chose my side
Yeah I'm on turn 50 and didnt take the shrine of khaine as soon as possible so I am hurtin, I just went down the west coast and ended up getting slapped by a blood voyage so yea master strategist here.
After a year of changes, can confirm that you MUST wipe out the dark elves EXCEPT shrine of khaine, you sack that repeatedly for as long as possible to level your lord and bounce between rebellions at tor anroc. Level into replenishment, upkeep reduction and LS. Do this from turn 1 and occupy every settlement, spend infulence to keep elves happy and have chrace reduce relations with the whiny elves to the outer east. Recruit sisters of averlorn stack, roll over everything.
Sacking shrine of Khaine seems to be a good strategy. I'll try it. I'm trying to play Alarielle Mortal Empires campaign on normal difficulty. I easily reach shrine of Khaine on turn 14 / 15, but I really don't know what to do after that.
Was here to see how you siege the Phoenix Gate early on... video did not cover it. I struggle to take it without heavy losses in the early game with just archers and sea guard.
You know in all the campaigns I have played on Avelorn who is one of two favorites, Ave and Imrik, never once have I taken the sword, I cap it and leave it be because imho as one of Harmony I would never use such means to accomplish my goals.
The way the game works defies any kind of lore friendly playstyle with the elves on Ulthuan which is kinda irritating especially in terms of if you're playing as Avelorn rather than Lothern. I dislike taking the outer boarder. The mountains make supporting it an absolute pain and the Crones cronies cause so much trouble it's better to just let Chrace expand and deal with it. I found the best way to comfortably grow in power is to wipe out the DE up until you've taken the Pheonix gate then go ham on Ellyrion, then turn to Saphery and all of that just about makes up the first 20 turns. With the security of the settlements inside of Ulthuan you can then put on some big boy boots and stand up to Lotherns usual dominance or push up north, admittedly by becoming Alarielle the Everchosen not Everqueen...
Thanks for this. I bought Alarielle because she reminds me of the female heroes in the new Marvel the Eternals movie. I hope I can replicate what you have done here on my first 24 turns. :D
Great video I'm just about to start the Alarielle campaign after just finishing the Chaos (Kholek) one. There are some great tips for the first 20 turns. I looking forward to using and abusing the sisters...
So with the introduction of the vampire coast, are there any additional tips you could add? Because saltspite's faction is a legitimate threat to the high elves campaign. What with her being so close to the southern point, it makes it hard to defend against her attacks. It also doesn't help that all of a sudden, you're facing off against undeads that don't flee and instead are forced into a slugfest to crumble the army.
Alarielle seems like the weaker of the 3 choices between Tyrion/Teclis and her. Tyrion I use as my go to hero dualist, Teclis I use for a variety of things, including army buffs and a powerhouse spell caster, but Alarielle......while yes I could use her to bolster the armies like Teclis, she doesn't have the spells to really be the best, and if I put her in chaos lands she crumbles as a caster...
She takes a long time to get her to be useful, but I have found that with her artifacts and spells totally worked out, she can keep your army up. She's saved my ass in several battles between the protection, healing, and rallying buffs.
How long does it take for the Defender of Ulthuan percentage to increase? I had a chaos invasion and dealt with it, however now it is stuck at 35% even though the island is fully occupied by HE’s
But, how do i confederate Lothern? They are rank 1 in my campain, and show no sign of slowing down. They are very unlikely to be willing to throw their independance to me. Fact is, i should be the one to join their confederation...
You must become stronger than them! Go fight a ton of dark elves or fight their enemies, strengthen your economy. The AI will usually fight a massive losing battle every so often, it'll chunk down their strength. That's when you swoop in with the confederacy offer like a kid into the DMs
Got to turn 38-39, Alith Anar comes out of nowhere, randomly declares war (I haven’t even met them yet prior to this) and kills my two stacks... rage quit.
It becomes very straight forward when you start playing, you can also play on easy difficulty to start with. If you’re still unsure, maybe get total war shogun 2 which has much simpler mechanics and can be pretty damn cheap on sale but still a fantastic game.
@@michalmisio64 I felt the same way when I started off. Shogun 2 was the first game I got into and immediately fell in love with. Hope your introvert to this series is going well!
Hey ItalianSpartacus! You can click on a city to check the buffs on it, they are always on the left down corner. And 40 min for a 20 turn guide? I got no time for that lad.
Loremaster of sotek is mediocre at best. Legend of total war is the best campaign focused streamer/expert (and by far the most entertaining). Legend is the white flame dancing on the barrows of his enemies

absolutely dude! more than happy to help! :)
"I'm not gonna go through every little thing here."
Proceeds to go through every little thing.
I know I am kinda randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Kamryn Callen Flixportal xD
@Cody Moses Thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!
@Kamryn Callen no problem :D

You might be one of the few youtubers who actually know how to play this game. +respect

Well put together video. Really easy to follow your tips.
Really good video, thank you. Never played a TW game before picking up WH2 3 days ago. Some great tips within :)

A gift given in secret soothes anger, and a bribe concealed in the cloak pacifies great wrath.
You’re having great ideas!

Thank You. 😇👍🤠
Well, first turn on mortal empire. The Khaine army starts far enough away from the camp that you can destroy each individually.

The corruption thing is a nice idea but the A.I just does not care about corruption so it isn't exactly balanced in my opinion.
You the best
nice vid. thumbs up

Just finished Norsca, fml, why couldn't they have had a place in the Vortex ;-;
Mischa I agree I love the idea of ME campaign. The wait times between turns is epic.
these are great, what settings do you play at? the graphics look amazing. do you play in 1080p?
bone giant video pls
its just released:D CA is working strange...
fine fine i did it ;)

How you changed map view in 4:16?
On what difficulty you play this campaign?
This game is awesome i want to play but It is too intimidating and to scare and very complicated for me

Or you could just kill all the other high elf and take the isle for yourself

Legend of total war is an annoying ass
