In one episode she halfway admits to Dorothy the "tall tales" of the South. The episodes about her "many men" were also prior to 1985 when the medical community finally solved the big question of AIDS (not just for gay men).
Who said that’s why she didn’t respond?
Unless she was in a tiff with one of the girls, she usually had a pretty good sense of humor about the comments everyone gave her, as well.

I’ve watched this show since it was on originally. I never get tired of watching it. This was one of the best ensemble casts ever put together! The writing was perfect for each of them! They literally “caught lightning in a bottle”!

3:57-4:25 is one of the funniest scenes in the entire series. Both Dorothy and Blanche's facial expressions/body language are perfect.
All of them are absolutely fabulous in their roles!!
I may be 18 but the golden girls is my absolute favorite.my mother used to watch this show with her mother and passed it on to me and my sister and now we watch it. We even have our own assigned golden girls. Im dorothy,my mother is sophia,and my sister is rose. Love these iconic ladies 😂☺️😘
Who cares how old you are? If a show is good a show is good period, your age has nothing to do with it, it's actually annoying when people bring up how old they are with something that is from the past. Just be happy with the show and leave it at that, you can be 3 for all I care and that still won't make you special.

I discovered the Golden Girls 20 years later, in 2019-2020, when i actually almost reached their age.. i Never watch multi-serials but, in this case, i wished it would never end .. I love these characters, admire the actresses, all of them, they are all My Girls now..but Blanch is my favorite! Such a lucky discovery for one of the hardest years ever.. God bless Susan Harris for the script!
