Joseph Wright of Derby (1734-1797) was a leading British artist of the eighteenth century and one of the first to show the beginnings of the Industrial Revolution. He is best known for his starkly lit interiors but he was also a well-known portrait and landscape painter.

The very early paintings you showed with dramatic lighting....reminded me of Norman Rockwell...... They looked illustrated........as per Rockwell..... just my opinion 😊
