there are a couple of company's re manufacturing nixie tubes check out dalibor farny who already make one type of large tube and is in the processes of tooling up to make a smaller tube in larger numbers
As someone who works on test equipment for a living, I too love the nixie tubes in old test kit. As a side note, if you were to use the IEC connector, it would have been the wrong gender. You would need a male (with pins) on the back of equipment. The reason being that you would not have a plug (pins) that could be touched on the end of a mains supply lead. Very nice instrument that, probably early 1970s.
Stupidly, I didn't think of that at all! In hindsight you're completely right! It makes me wonder now why those plugs are even available, as any cable plugged in for it would be a death trap 🫠
Rather than all that trouble, and potentially hacking up a perfectly good device, you could have just gotten the correct power connector. its a Bulgin L1436/P, not cheap but readily available.
I wished nixie tubes would make a resurgence.

Not cheap is the killer there buddy 🙈
TBH I would've choc-boxed to original cables lol!! Great bit of kit though.
