Nuestra intención no era ofender a nadie ni a ninguna cultura. Nos encanta la cultura mexicana y hicimos todo lo posible para mostrarla de la mejor manera que pudimos. El verdadero talento y los bailarines profesionales nos perseguían. This is our Mexican Hat Dance. A few screw ups but it was fun! This was for a talent show and we just wanted to have fun with the dance so we adjusted it to fit our skills. Our intention was not to offend anyone or any culture. We love the mexican culture and tried our best to showcase it in the best way we could. The real talent and professional dancers were after us. I'm Mexican and this "dance" is an offense to my culture and to our traditions, it looks like a russian/italian folkish dance thing, besides, the real name is "-JARABE TAPATIO-" not "hat dance", (how do i know that??!..... because im -TAPATIO-) taco Bell is really offensive too.
LARCfyi hey I’m sorry to hear you did not like our dance. The guy in the middle is Mexican as well and in fact that night we had a Mexican culture theme night and had many amazing cultural dances that were performed (will post those soon). We decided as a group we did not want the whole night to be so serious and we wanted to add a little bit of humour to the show and this is what we came up with. I apologize that this is offensive to you but I want you to know that we love and cherish the Mexican culture and LOVE the Mexican people. This was not meant to be offensive by any means. I think if you were there you would have been proud of how Mexico was represented that night.

That was so offensive, completely clownish and demeaning of Mexican popular culture, it didn't even look remotely like Mexican dance. You can tell by the people laughing, they are reacting to a clownish act. In the video description they say they did their best to present Mexican culture in the best way, yeah sure. My wife is incensed by your racist performance.
