Beautiful car and excellent videos! Great to have well done DIY videos for when I need to service my own car. Looking forward to seeing what else you do with your Spyder.
Hey Daniel I've bought and tried CarPro Darkside , a bit messy to apply as it is a gel instead of a dilutable liquid like PERL but It's amazing after curing and a quick powerwash removal of the excess.
@@DWraysGarage It's glossy at first then after a day I've washed it with a quick pressure washer it become satin. It's a bit trickier than PERL but theoretically lasting 3 months it's worth the "pain ". I'm testing it on all my family cars to see how different drive patterns affects it's durability
Hey D Wray Nice job on the video. What oil catch can are you using? I changed my 981 Boxster oil for the first time and it splashed out of mine and all over the garage floor, I made a total mess... Oil , seems to come out way faster than my old 986 Boxster although I'm now using a QickJack so the car's up a bit higher than ramps.
Thanks bboy! I’ve used all kinds to avoid the splash outs. Nowadays I use this amzn.to/3Hy4BEf or I use the Valvomax system. I just don’t feel totally comfortable putting the Vmax nozzle on the bottom of my Boxster. My biggest win this time was being super patient with the draining of the oil pan so the filter didn’t gush as well!
Good video, I was not aware that the drain plug washer has a flat side, good to know for next time. I must have got lucky, no leaks.
Probably not a huge deal if secured properly but logic dictated that, since I noticed it, I act accordingly…

Your editing is great! I need to think of something fun for mine. Ughhh. Awesome video as usual.

Does it give a satin finish or more glossy?

Nice Video. What Tool are you Unding to Lift up the Boxster??
Thanks for watching. The lift I use is a QuickJack BL-5000SLX.
