it helps that her cannon does a lot more damage than just a mini-gun.

It's so nice that brutal doom gave SMM the dignity that was always missing from the vanilla game. BD spider MM is a meat grinder and completely destroys you if you fight her head to head

Spider masterminds in BD resist damage dealt to their bottom half - most likely the reason why the cacos sucked so bad when they went melee - most were biting her at the feet.
Actually that's a legit video idea: make a comparison of a Spider mastermind versus pinky demons - but test it both in Vanilla and Brutal Doom to see just how big the difference is.

Edit: Really wish they'd add in a 'trample' melee attack for the mastermind, I mean it seems obvious to do with the size and huge mechanical legs.

One of the things I think that kept the Cacodemons from winning more fights was the friendly fire. A lot of them were getting hit in the back by other Cacos.

spider demon is a wimp with the high pain interruption chance. even in brutal doom she gets stun locked and annihilated way too easily

Not much stun-lock with the new ones anymore? I was expecting The Spider Brains to just stand there getting pummelled, but I guess not. They were always pretty laughable, def not Boss Level.
it's all because she has such a high pain chance. the Cyber is like 1-5% while SMM is like 25-50%. if they were equal, she would be one hell of a scary boss to fight.
