Grubby saying "Ok I have to transition" after making nothing but ancient of war for 15minutes" cracked me up.
Keeper of the Grove keeps the grove by destroying the grove with the army of the grove.
*He was supposed to destroy the forest destroying humans, NOT JOIN THEM!*
It was a grovy experience
I think this challenge could work against undead because it's much harder for them to move their lumber setup because they can't power build, and can only build their lumber mill on blight
no proxy mill. good point!!
it isnt much harder its slightly a inconvenience since they have the blight skull item in there shop that does a decent area.
@@TheBronf Ohh yeah, that's true lol. Man I'm rusty at this game.
just build a necropolis ... anywhere...
@@Stilga77 Oh Riiiight, I forgot Necropoli are much cheaper than other main bases and don't cost any wood, I think it'd still be much longer build time though. So it'd be a bit easier to catch early.
20 years WC3TFT. still fun
Timeless game for real, greatest game ever created imo
Overwatch 2.... Lol
*Malfurion talking to Cenarius about destroying the forest*
Malfurion: You were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy the Humans who cut trees, not join them!
Cenarius: I destroyed the trees so they have nothing left to destroy...
And I can regrowth them as I want with a lil snap of my fingers. 😂
Technically he fed some tries to other tries, so no destroying here. It's all in the trees' food chain I guess xd
Another challange: Make the Enemy to your prisoner. Build towers in front of his base and kill him when he try to Break out. But dont destroy his base.
patrol behind towers with guard units, meanwhile creep if no attempts at prison break, do your business
i like this, making the opponent forefit when his gold runs out
Competent opponents will begin building siege and ruin it, so you’ll be forced to keep fighting them instead of just guarding. But you can still count that as containment if you keep most alive
That's basically how I remember WC3 multiplayer back in the day when I played it.
Everyone had 15 defense turrets and no way to brake thru 🤣
Many years ago I played vs my friend by LAN and for some reason we got weird purple boxes instead of trees all over the map, like the textures issue whatever. It was the funniest game we ever played. We had no lumber income, and we could not make any extra farms to build more units. Just the starting amount of lumber and that's it.
when u only have reign of chaos (original game )but no frozen thone expansion and u play on frozen throne map :)
If there's a map where you can hide an AP and eat all the trees you can away from vision first, this strat would probably work a lot better.
tbh i think the strat would work better if he built wells for treant mana, and only micro'd 1 or 2 APs and actually built a base and trained units to back them up rather than spammed a hundred APs and let them all die bc he wasnt really microing them that much. A microed AP eats trees waaay faster than just shift clicking a bunch of trees and then letting it do its thing, the animation backswing on tree eating is super long. Kotg was killing trees significantly faster than the shift queued APs, so just making sure he always has mana would do more work towards that as well as being a much lesser strain on his resources.
That being said I also think the game was still super winnable all the way up to the point where grubby decided to keep taking fights after his mine collapsed. The enemy didn't really seem aware that grubby had no expo, otherwise he would've been pushing a lot harder instead of going back to creeping, I really don't think he was gonna stop grubby from also creeping his expo.
@@Humanaut. oh yeah i agree by that point he knew, but grubby seemed like he had given up well before that
“NONE, shall harm the wilds….
*breathes*
“Except me”
"Everything I touch dies or comes back to life."
If there’s no forest, there won’t be any deforestation. Ez environment save.
A lack of wood makes this a not so hard challenge.
Full BOLSONARO.... What a moment to be alive
Ikr hahahahha minions bout to be mad
Meaning?:d
Tá aí os caras que acreditam na rede globo, american idiot do Green day cabe muito bem aqui
@@ionbolog1793bolsonaro was the brasilian president and he was detroying the amazon rainforest
Olha a carinha do raio de luz que fala "TODES"... Ta querendo, e não ta sabendo pedir!
This made me laugh so hard, cutting down the dudes forest so he cant get lumber and nothing he can do about it. It probably wasnt until like 10 mins in he realized what you were doing
Back when I first started WC3 one of my favorite things to do was building a “siege camp” before attacking enemies. I would build rax, lumber-mill and a shop, a couple of towers, then my heroes would host a meeting, and only after that I was satisfied enough to lead my troops to victory. So proxy lumber-mill is certainly something I’ve seen 😂
Great game!
15:15 there's a small turtle (neut/creep) on the right, almost unaccessable; mostly in FoW.
Also, long ago, I've played WC3 Campaign without FoW. There's ton of secret Items and EasterEggs along the levels; especially against the Naga as NE.
L O L
He really did just have 3 wood at the end, and nowhere to chop more.. Closer game than it seemed.
If Grubby had *NOT* skilled THORNS, he would have easily won... :/
Just... *WHY* did he do that ?? :((
.
@@kurzackd maybe out of respect to the opponent? He survived for such long and found a way to counter this. And also he will then just go to Grubby's expo and destroy it with mortars. While Grubby just don't have enough units and gold to build more in a short time
@@AkariLimano he picked Thorns towards *the BEGINNING* of the game...
What "survival for such a long time" are you talking about? -_-
Please don't reply to me. Your answer was bad.
.
@@kurzackd sorry to hear my answer dissatisfied you pal. Take your time to cry about it
@@AkariLimano your answer was *WRONG* , plain and simple. Bye now! :)
Its actually the ocean that produces most of the oxygen
The crazy part for me isn't even that you wiped out all of the forestation. It's that you produced an army so massive and formidable by doing this that you could have honestly wiped the opponent out in 6-10 minutes.
I think all the other guy had to do was stick a unit or two on the keeper and not let him go. He was at death's door half the time; just one unit stuck to him would have chased him out or killed him.
Grubby: builds 95% of his base in his opponent's base, using up his entire first gold mine on ancients of war: "Just a light harass"
Do this strat but with Human. Get the improved lumber harvesting, then build a lumbermill near their base and gather wood from the opponent while distracting with towers. Blood Mage with Flamestrike and Drain Mana for killing the enemy lumber gatherers/burning down the forest. Humans will definitely be better at cutting down the trees than purple elves.
Humans are masters of deforestation tbh
It is doable but upgrading your town hall and workers being easily killed ( vs ancient of war) it is pretty much risky to do except for undead 🤷
As a BR i broke a laugh with "i will go full Bolsonaro"
As a Brazilian I laughed even more lol
rachei o bico com essa hauheaueahueauh
Funny cuz europeans wiped their trees off their land centuries ago, but some dude in the other side of the world is the icon of deflorestation - typical eurocrap propaganda xd
you're not wrong @h04513. Though we always strive to be better in future rather than comparing to past
@@FollowGrubby didn't expect you to see this, else i'd have kept some of my BM to myself.
Big respect man, and thanks for aknowledge'ing the main point of my message and taking it into consideration. Can agree with yours as well. Cheers
To defend this normally step 1 buy arcane tower (generally good idea if you see a level 1 summoning keeper running around at the start of the game.
step 2 if you see your oppenent start to keep building 99 building around you buy 2nd maybe 3rd tower
step 3: as you can buy a second hero, buy naga, frost arrow will kill his hero no matter what, nothing to defend it(maybe buy boots if you feel unsure of your skill),, win it less then 8 min
As Grubby went mass wisps a secondary summoning hero was the worst possible pick!
Night Elves, the "protectors" of the forest
: )
The Iranian persona arc ended and Grubby entered his Brazilian persona arc. 😂
Lol i luv this, thanks for trying your best to always fulfill the requests by the gals and guys haha. Entertaining as always.
😍 I think its just the coolest when you got a ton of uprooted trees sieging the enemy base.
0:35 - Wait... Grubby is a park ranger?? LORE! XD
'my name is gholbine and i speak for the tree and the tree says u shall have no tree' - gholbine probably
wow what a game... more of this tactic please :DDD
he indeed had 3 wood at the end lol
KoTG: "Death to all defilers"
YOU ARE THE DEFILER
Me chilling: "go full bolsonaro"
Caralho, até aqui?!
awesome content
Fui pego de surpresa tbm
Exciting game, maybe mass glaves and MGs would be better than treants to destroy the forest
Also many shredders too.
Plot twist: opponent had a proxy lumber mill in the corner of the map the whole time
thats what i would of done and just send units into his base
This video unchained an old memory. When the horrible movie "The Happening" came out, I unfortunately saw it in the theaters. At the end of the movie an older women said outloud "well, don't piss off the trees".
15:49 Made me chuckle irl, beautifully set up 😂
wish you turned on the apm counter lol
"we just did a small light harass" made me nearly spit my drink out!
Was fun to watch. Maybe I should try WC3 again, loved it back in the old days ^^
The "Full Bolsonaro" reference made me award you with a like.
This guy always looks so surprised.
Great gameplay btw. ;)
0:45 right on point
I've never even thought of this but it's hilarious.
Played this when it came out. What epic memories!
'Small, light harass.'
*checks time.*
20 minutes. Small, light harass checks out.
I love the communitys efforts towards eating all the enemy trees
Mann!! He just said "I´ll go full Bolsonaro.." lol
Tactic name: "Easter Island". The theory goes that the population cut down too many trees and ended up starving because they destroyed the eco system.
Full Bolsonaro, how did I just watch this today? I cannot stop laughing! You're the greatest, Grubs!
A fun strat I liked to play in 4on4s is TREES ONLY.
With Keeper and Trees only.
You can mass expo and spam ancient protectors.
It is actually quite ok. One advantage is you do not have upkeep.
"None should harm the wild"...Expect my own entire race 😮😂
15:17 litlle turtle on the end of the map
the grove keeper name was Gholbine (Goblin), which explains his behaviour of abusing trees
I remember in the campaign Cenarius used his lvl 6 to restore all the trees the orcs cut, so Grubby's Keeper definitely did this after the game too right?
right? right?....
there is an interesting feature of StarCraft called stealing gas. nothing too fancy just send a worker across the map and build on opponent gas however in warcraft 3 you wouldnt think someone could be crazy enough to think of such a stunt.
"We could try a Bolsanaro Maneuver."
"That's a one in a million shot."
I remember the AoW cheese back in RoC when ancients still had fortified armor when uprooted.
These last times, your games are so funny, i love that !!
have you ever tried winning with just the night elf buildings? basically using them as units (as well as maybe tower rushing and/or blocking off the enemy base)
this is basically a 3 or solo hero strat then and he's done many of them. you always see him utilizing the ancients for creeping or some kind of harass, also believe the AP NE game he's done already aswell might of been a while ago so would have to scroll back.
Idk this has been the best wc3 content to grace my feed in a long time
You have satted the Gobbler eldritch tactics gods once again Grubster, for that you will be blessed.
A pleasure as always! ; )
The irony of the night elves being the best at deforestation...
I lost my wood the instant I started watching the video, I can’t imagine what it was like for the opponents to completely vanish.
This is a work of art! Someone pay this man $100,000,000 for this game :0
How ironically that the best at removing trees are the ones who claim to be their protectors.
A lot of my 2v2 Warcraft games require lumber expos, but that's because we build about 80 towers. Towers take a lot of wood.
26:39 "Had any wood issues recently?" No, my wood is perfectly fine.
This is the reverse siege of isengard where Saruman is trying to stop the ents from destroying the trees.
This has got to be the most chaotic game of warcraft I've ever seen
This looks like a canon event of Nelfs trying to punish humans for being wasting down resourses.
i played this when i was 16.. and now i am 37 with 2 kids.. still watching grubby LOL
Some things never change..
I thought about this Tac: A secret Shop at the back of the enemy with Keeper cleaning all trees from inside up + Nonstop mana buying to regenerate ;D
Never would I ever have thought of this
I always enjoy watching you play wc3 youre the only one that i watch playing this game
Does taliman of evasion also work on range attack?
always wanted to see wtii do this, but yeah, this is equally entertaining!
YESSSSSSS IVE BEEN WANTING ONE OF THESE GAMES!!! 10 SECONDS IN SO EXCITED XD
This is definitely the best thing I've ever seen, haha.
never have I seen chaos be so educational lol
Quite frankly, the whole "Ancients or War eating trees like an all-you-can-eat buffet" was funny, but not really efficient.
With such a huge forest in the starting base, you can't really deny early lumber. As you saw.
The MOST efficient, in the same vein, imo, would have been to keep spamming treants with your hero. And specifically spawn them on the lumberers. This way, they always have to move or get killed. It would have disrupted his wood much harder.
Need to see a vid with actual efficient wood harass now !
What a weird flex ^^ "I could have killed you but I decided to deforestate you! "
I really think that if he had started to make some units a little bit earlyer, before his mine collapse, he would have won this one.
I hope for this strat. - >>> Footys and fast gryphon with this two heros Bloodmage with banish and Alchemist with acid bomb. Go Grubby go ☺️✌️
it's funny how the elves, literal tree huggers, are best at decimating the forest :D
That's how you improve climate change folks, you destroy the trees! Grubby for future president!
This dude is like "f*ck your forest ! f*ck this tree, and that one too !"
I remember doing this successfully in RoC I think (or early FT?) cause I mained night elf until I got into your playstyle and did orc.
Grubby, love your content. I started playing because of your awesome videos. Man, just one thing... about what you said of Bolsonaro... try checking the information from a more reliable source next time kkkk. Wish you the best💪
You needed to start out stealthy and eat away into the back of his woods and meet him halfway, and build a moonwell closer sooner to make tree ents on cooldown
Oh, man. I'm currently reading "The word for the world is forest" by Ursula Le Guin. 😢
The Lorax is somehow both appalled and impressed. 😅
Im from brazil, that bolsonaro reference got me unprepared LOL
2006 - casuals imitating Grubby's strategies
2023 - Grubby imitating casual strategies
This would be a good ad for captain planet
That was something beautiful.
human to night elf : u supposed to stop them not join them XD
night elf : chop treeeeee!!
Gnolls be like "Nope Im staying out of this one"
As a Brazilian, i was not expecting a Bolsonaro reference hahaha
Your hero Gholbine sounds a lot like Gold Mine, which is all the opponent gets in this challenge.
