I think it did. Right after that, we started getting full anime style MVs from AZKi, we got "My Song" from Watame, Kanata's new original, and then Q from Calli and Gura (I might be missing a few but these were what I remember off the top of my head)
After reading through some comments, I went back to the MV and looked through the weapon sequence frame by frame to find out what it was. And at the 3 minute mark in the MV itself, for just ONE frame, there's a clear silhouette of an axe! Hahaha!!!
You are right!!! Furaisen as the illust already confirm the frame that it was indeed Moona's Axe, she already use the axe on her previous transition opening 😁
the amazing thing besides the music and the animation is the lore, someone already explain the lore at there with so much details, so basically this is moona when merge with some goddes(hoshinova) , we can see moona fighting the big red thing and then lost but she defeated that thing after she merge with hoshinova Also(this only my opinion) in 2:51 you can see ina tentacle, but that not ina that is the acient one who is the strongest of holo en according to holo en lore, imo that goddes(hoshinova) and acient one is enemy who is equals but then they give their power to ina and moona Also imo the red flowers i think is the worshippers of hoshinova who already dead
I like these interpretations considering how lore-heavy the song was! I've seen other comments talking about the Ina tentacle, and even a possible Atlantis reference for when it looked like she was underwater. Having it be the Ancient Ones who gave Hoshinova her power would be a very interesting twist. The red flowers being past worshippers could also be a very possible interpretation!
First time hearing: this song is banger. second time hearing: omg moona voice is very amazing. Third time hearing: the animation is beautiful. Fourth time hearing: oh god the song is stuck in my head. Fifth time listening: help i can't stop listening 🤣
The animation, the lore, the instrument and ofc monna voice is so damn amazing this is masterpiece That smile on the last give me goosebumps, that some High queen smile right there
I already expressed my positive feelings for that Song on the Community Discord! So i'm leaving this Comment to show my continues support for these Reactions and Breakdowns~
at the early days she already known as a"monster"of ballad songs, but then she evolve, slaying lots of power songs. btw the"I want you"end make me lol. 😂
Every time I get a notif that Moona goes live for a karaoke stream, I immediately jump into it because I know how good it's going to be! Her improvement in this one is insane. Hahaha! I'm glad you like the ending screen!!
Thank you for the Reaction Sen!! And what a deep insight review, i really like it!!! This MV is pausable at any moment the Art is so Good!!! Moona really blessed us with her new OG Song!!
As for the MV. There's a lot to it absolutely. It's great how we look into it and find clues into Moona lore and Hololive lore simultaneously. I don't care if it's all head canon, or happy couincidences, i want more. Moona joins the club of depicting herself as a different struggling persona than the one we see all the time. Towa, Marine, Kanata and Watame all did anime MVs with similar imagery and I expect more to come.
I love open-ended videos like this that have a solid direction, but the details are still open for interpretation. Lore-heavy MVs also tend to be interpreted as canon, and this level of production just gives it more weight! Moona's internal conflict being represented this way though was an incredible artistic choice that just hypes us up for what's next!
DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE BEEN REPLAYING YOUR REACTION TO HIGH TIDE? THIS IS THE TENTH TIMES....YOUR REACTION AND HER MV BOTH ARE AWESOME, I COULDN'T GET ENOUGH...THANKS
Just as a side note... Oh god the moment you mentioned Moona as a guest character in a fighting game I had to picture her in Guilty Gear and thought up a whole Hololive fighting game by ArcSys... It would be so sick to see the girls and guys in the ArkSys 2.5D artstyle Song is a banger and her Karaoke version is amazing aswell. I would highly suggest checking that out if you haven´t already
Oh yeah, it could be a long axe as well! But it's definitely a long weapon Yeah! I noticed the earring since they put a lot of attention on it Glad you enjoyed it!
Someone could make that into an anime and it'll probably sell. I'm guessing here, but it might tell the story of a Goddess once protecting humanity from monsters (Ina?) but then humanity turned on her (they threw stones and bear their weapons on her). The short hair Moona could be the goddess reincarnation, and she 'became one' with her goddess self to kill the red giant. Now that she's became one once more she could protect humanity again among them.
I think it was the way she swung it that really had me thinking it was some sort of scythe even though I do know the Hoshi clan loves their axes hahaha!
She's amazing singer, the Mv is brilliant ,overall the quality is superb.👍👍 And for the flower, from what I know that is a Moon Flower that only bloom at night time.
Music production and lyrics by the way is by ZSunder, Filo music producer who has K-Pop music influence. The voice of Moona complements well with the track.
So what i gather from moonflower is that it is a symbol of blossoming in the dark, its a symbol of growth of personality and spiritual in the darkest of time,it attracts moths and other night creatures but its also poisonus plant
its either scythe or bardiche, yeah? both are need to be full side swinged to be used and both chop my expectation and excitement, shaterred to pieces, blowed by the wind, and long lost in the space. Great song and MV! also good job with the breakdown
A bardiche could be a very good guess as well! And yes, regardless of what weapon it is, we're all dead with how good that was. Glad you enjoyed the breakdown!
"My shine but it turns red" the specific part of the MV shows a drop of what looks like blood hitting the flower and then you get big red monster. Could this be a reference to a BLOOD MOON? So that fight might actually be a representation of an internal conflict like maybe a reference to the far/dark side of the moon probably?
That could be it too! It seemed like throughout the video, there was a struggle happening between Moona and Hoshinova and the red was seemingly cleared when Moona accepted Hoshinova and they sorta combined in a way.
@@SenWarchief Worth noting that Moona as she is now has the upper half of her eyes as blue and the bottom half yellow, perhaps signifying the balance. Alternative interpretation: The first time "My Shine" line appeared in the MV, Hoshinova turned one of the red tinted humanoids into a bunch of the white flowers. Human Moona sees this and Hoshinova decides to give her a little bit of that power. Moona then attempts to use that on the large red tinted humanoid, and she was initially successful, it did turn into a massive bunch of white flowers. But the red consumed it shortly afterwards, and she loses. That moment of the MV perhaps also shows a clue to what that red thing is. at 2 16 of the MV we get a few frames of what looks like an angry mob with anger directed at Hoshinova. We then cut back to the underwater scene where Hoshinova likely decided to entirely inhabit Moonas body instead of just giving her a bit of her power. Now as to what the red thing actually is, is up to anybody's guess. Human malice?, the manifestation of Hoshinovas dark side? who knows.
@@ach3909 I view it as both the manifestation of Moona's darker side, like what Gura did in reflect, and as the manifestation of humanities darkness taken physical form.
Yeah, listening to this song is a complete opposite of Ai no Chiisana Uta. Exact opposite. And the animation? My god, amazing. I'm a sucker for the slow parts that build up in songs and unleash power. And also a sucker for the characters with glowing eyes and the sorta fusion that happens in the end of the "Herrscher" version of Moona going into Moona and out into the real world, just beautiful. Almost like Moona saw the Myth vs. Ina animation and said I wanna join and Hololive Alternative as well.
I love that it even started off like a ballad similar to Ai no Chiisana Uta and then DROP as if to say, "This is NOT what you're expecting." And then we were treated to an incredible vocal performance accompanied by super high quality animation. The build-up parts were incredible. It really felt like a character announcement trailer haha! Man, after this song, we're gonna have even more endless power level debates and now we're including Hoshinova!
I feel that Holo Alternative and Towa's Palette started the trend of high quality animated videos and it just keeps getting better.
I think it did. Right after that, we started getting full anime style MVs from AZKi, we got "My Song" from Watame, Kanata's new original, and then Q from Calli and Gura (I might be missing a few but these were what I remember off the top of my head)

Hoshi- clan always using Axe as main weapon

VERY accurate.

why you need a help, hear it until the rest of your life.
The Moona, Towa and Bae...the nasally, funny sounding girls with power voices.
It's a special kind of vocal gap that always catches me off guard in the best way
It's sad that you didnt include Risu..

That smile was just one of many wallpaper worthy screenshots we could get with this MV.
As expected from moona, her og song and cover is always banger, also good reaction
Anything that Moona touches is gold at this point. And I'm glad you liked the reaction!

This song is banger, especially while you playing game, god i already repeated this like 100+times while playing game lol
Oh this is perfect music when you're just playing a game!
I literally googled "KDA high tide moona hoshiniva" because when I was listening to this I definitely felt like this is out of KDA.
The first time hearing this on live stream made me speechless 😂

A full-on anime focusing on Moona would already be one hell of a hit. I can really see those plot points you mentioned!
Btw her weapon that she used on the MV is not a scythe (i thought it was a scythe too, lol) its an Axe 😂

The flower being a moonflower is the perfect little detail to add to the MV

This is such an amazing song. I can easily see this being used in the league world championship~
Oh can you just imagine the unmatched hype if that ever happens? I'd love to see that!
Music production and lyrics by the way is by ZSunder, Filo music producer who has K-Pop music influence. The voice of Moona complements well with the track.
That explains a lot behind the KDS and KPop style influences in the music! I do think this style really fits Moona incredibly well.
I didn't know you did Quick Pass and then breakdowns. I like how you find ways to make the content with some light structure
Yeah! Been doing those from the start whenever I react to a single song hehe! I've only been adding the timestamps fairly recently though
the flower is moonflower or tropical white morning glory, it blooms in the night
I think the morning glory is the name that I'm a lot more familiar with for this flower. That helps me visualize it a lot better actually
So what i gather from moonflower is that it is a symbol of blossoming in the dark, its a symbol of growth of personality and spiritual in the darkest of time,it attracts moths and other night creatures but its also poisonus plant
our moon goddess has reincarnated and back to the earth..

it just confirmed by furaisen. the weapon in question is a bardiche axe. furaisen post the picture on his Twitter
hail my pround queen on and on o7
Moona has become a Moon Herrscher ey lol
She even sat on her throne and it was perfect!
Hoshinova eyes is yellow, and Moona eyes is purple, when the both become one, we can see two color combined, and she become Moona Hoshinova.
Makes perfect sense! I especially love how sinister the yellow glow looked when they combined.
Banger song,by the way the weapon she use is an exe
