The first two bikes with their wide forks resemble the patented design by Richard McAinsh by Ku Cycle (esp the Hope / Lotus bike looks almost identical to the patent). @Global Triathlon Network: Are you aware of that copyright issue?
Sign me up for the Cannondale or Sam Long’s Trek. Right now I have the 2017 Trek 1.2, bought it used right before covid so I feel lucky to have it at the price I paid.
How do you manage travelling with the canyon speedmax CFR? as I have yet to pluck up the courage to take off the basebar of mine to fit in my original bike box Alan which I use quite frequently with my road bike. don't really want to have to purchase another tri specific bike box.
I haven’t taken the base bar off, and not sure I want to 😂 I’ve been fortunate to use bags and boxes that allow you to leave the base bar on. Often still require removing aero bars though
Mark, you are awesome and respect you so much. But I have to make this comment: you liked that Cannondale but disliked the Diamondback Andean? I know taste is subjective, but didn’t know it was THAT subjective 🙃
just a question why do triathlon bikes exist , i realy dont get my haed around and think they should be removed from racing , i mean you are not evn touching the brakes ?
I couldn't agree more, there is never any occasion that an experienced rider would not need to be hovering over the brakes like road cyclists do... unless they're on a hill while on the top bar, or sprinting in the drops, it's a good job RUclips has people like us setting the rules, or there wouldn't be any triathletes left to make their own faulty decisions about safety 🤔.
How many times are we going to show this Cadex bike and act like it's a groundbreaking design when it is in fact a rip off of the lotus forks and the Pinarello Parigina from 1997? Fun Fact, patents expire after 25 years, 25 years on from 1997 brings us to 2022, coincidence? 🤔
These 20k and above bikes are a joke, they’re just taking money from fools because it’s doesn’t cost much to build these, especially that metal fold up bike lol

GTN Side Characters: Gustav Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt
lol, hilarious shooing them off.
Cant go anywhere with these kids😆
I like how you sent Kristian and Gustav out of the way 😂
Can't ruin the shot now, can we? 😅
Haha 😂 glad you spotted that
That was hilarious
"I command thee, outta my way!"
who are they?
random Gustav Iden & Kristian Blummenfelt walking into the shot :D :D :D

I half expected the Lotus Hope bike to produce some sort of laser beam warp drive time travel contraption. What a beautiful creation!
Really great presentation, I appreciate the considerable research behind each part, much better than other channels who seem to turn up and point.
At 55, I think that Cannondale in the Palace colour-way is perhaps not for me! The Trek on the other hand looks the nuts!
You rep anything you want, Rich, if it's for you, go for it! 😆
@@gtn I like my bikes to look less sticker book and more slicker look!
Love the EF-Education First Paintjob. Reminds me of a popsicle somehow.
Nothing from Cervelo?
By god Mark and Co I think ye have out Teched the GCN Tech channel……👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😍
BIG statement! Thank you 🙌
The tri version of the Merida is already being ridden by Cam brown

Give me the Scott and i Will be Happy as Pogacar until loosing the yellow jersey
Felt: Look, we built the ugliest bike EVER!
Cadex: Hold my beer…
So when cannon will release a tt bike again?

The seat stays of the Scott look a bit cervelo-ish look doesn’t it?

Haha I still stand by my decision
My vote for Trek

Please design and make me one for $200. I'll wait.
Imagine building such an ugly bike as Hope did, only to get destroyed by two dutch bois on a koga kinsei
😬 Not a fan of the wide forks?
@@gtn haha no not really, although they look good on that Tribike.
