      I think Brian Jones was the most beautiful rock star in the world. A close second is another Brian, (Brian Connelly), the blonde singer for the glam rock band Sweet. Connelly passed away from alcohol and a bad heart in 1997. Although Connolly never said so but he may have copied Brian Jones' hairstyle. John Fogarty may have copied Jones' hairstyle too?

      No, Max... Jones was actually a very mediocre musician. He couldn't write , he couldn't sing and he couldn't improvise at all. Brian Jones could copy. That's really all he could do.

      @@williardbillmore5713actually he could play almost every instrument and mick and Keith said that Brian wrote stuff but Brian was nervous to show them and if you look up Brian jones singing you can hear the song he wrote and it’s a pretty beautiful song. j'ai été fasciné par les Stones un soir à la télé en 1965 où ils chantaient Satisfaction.

    Beautiful tribute to a super-talented musician who gave us so much! Without him there wouldn't have been a rock band named The Rolling Stones. Brian was a poor soul born into a family that showed no love. What else could he do but find love with the girls he met. He drifted away from England and was busking to make a living. Returned to England and got his confidence back and placed an ad for musicians: the birth of his musical child was forming. Why wasn't Brian the lead vocalist? Too bad he strayed away from the band and indulged in alcohol and living with the "dirty woman" Anita Pallenberg! Pallenberg introduced him to hashish and Brian would never be the same. He was marching to a different tune altogether. A tune that would become sour with age. As his important role in the band was extinguished by Jagger, Oldham, and Richards he fell deeper into despair. Today The Glimmer Twins are exceedingly wealthy and living the high life as Brian Jones lays cold. All that's left are the memories, photos, music of a man that was once so revered.

      As someone who lost a brother when we both were children, I know Brian and his family's loss of his sister should never be forgotten.

    I channel him. I know it seems weird. I knew him when I was little. He was part of something way bigger than he wanted. Unfortunately it's happened to a lot of artists who just wanted to be themselves and create without infringements. Thank you for making this. X

    My research shows a man who was kind and innocent- as far as reading people. He was very insecure & needy of love/approval - don't think he ever felt loved. This would have been seen as a weakness and he surely was picked on. Looking at video one sees an angelic child. He may have acted an "arse", but not to be evil; to gauge/test peoples feelings for him. Perhaps a very insecure passive-aggressive. His appeal - he sparks a desire in many to nurture him and others will see their own weaknesses.

    • @Tigerroux
      @Tigerroux 4 года назад +2

      His insecurity passive aggressiveness drove him into burying himself into drugs and alcohol. In his last photos, you could see the horrible effects of the drugs. His eyes were bloodshot, swollen and baggy. He couldn’t have felt well at all and became worthless trying to perform or practice. This with the loss of girlfriend and his group just finished him off I guess. What a shame. Funny how most of the hits the Stones play in concerts today are those that Brian contributed unique sounds to that made them famous.

      Definitely! His mother scolded him to behave because if he didn't then he would end up dead from Leukemia like his younger sister Pamela. There wasn't any love in that household. Even George Harrison, John Lennon, and Yoko Ono said the same.

      I understand your words perfectly when it comes to Yoko Ono. When Lennon went with her and left his son and wife behind I saw the effect she had on Lennon: thin, frail, and drawn.

    Brian got them kickstarted, no question. Beautiful look, fab clothes and a great instrumentalist. But sweet? I doubt it. Without Mick n Keef’s songwriting they wouldn’t have got much beyond the Saturday Club on the BBC Light Programme.
