Is it harder to get recruited if you only play school ball? Because the closest club team near where I live is an hour away.
yes yes yes. club is the best way to get a scholarship. you won’t got school. the drive is worth it

What can you do if you’re already behind? Like how can I level out my skill with people who have played more?
I can relate to this comment because in 7th grade I played on my school team and a regional club team and I wasn't very good then in 8th grade I didn't make the volleyball team. So then in 9th grade I tried out for the volleyball team and made it but I was behind compared to everyone else so I started watching lots of videos on how to get better at volleyball and every time my coach would give me correction I would apply it then after school season I played on a national club team and got a lot better so I would recommend to play on a club team if you can and go to college camps or watch videos on how to get better at volleyball.

I’ve mainly played middle, even though i’m not that tall, i’m 5’ 7”, occasionally i play right side, and I really want to play volleyball in college. although i know i most likely will have to go as a ds, you were in the same position as me, starting as middle and not having a ton of passing, and your videos are just really inspiring !
i’m almost the exact same as you. i’m a 5’7 outside/right side who plays club and high school, but i know down the road i’m never going to get a D1 offer as a pin hitter. last season i was a freshman on jv as an outside/right side, so do you think next season i should focus on more of a ds role on the team? i know that’s what i’m going to have to play for college, so is it better to start early?
