even tho i’m in 2024 this was really helpful. i’m a sophomore and i’ve never played team volleyball but i’m trying out for my highschool team. i’m 6’ but i do need to work on some skills

#1. Be the loudest person on the court- communication #2. Be the hardest worker on the court -- Staying focused, sprint faster #3. Be eager to be a good teammate- pick up cones after tryouts #4. Volunteer for demos #5. Be excited to be there #6. NO PHONES 📵 #7. Hustle everywhere #8. Show up EARLY- stretches, gear, warm ups #9. Where gear- Hair up, Not much jewelry, sports bra, t-shirt, running shorts/spandex, knee pads, socks, volleyball shoes #10. Deal with mistakes well - learn from it #11. Be prepared #12. Be humble - congratulate other people, be coachable #13. Have fun #14. Be yourself #15. Be kind to yourself

Idk if I commented this already, but I'm in 8th grade and I suddenly had this determination ish feeling to become a volleyball player and I am going to practice and join clubs over the summer so I can tryout for high school freshman year but I'm not sure if I should because I don't have those extra years of experience my middle school volleyball team has so I feel like I'd not be experienced enough. Is it too late to tryout or join the volleyball team?

just ran into your videos and have sent them onto my 15 yr daughter..she made the varsity team this past season and has made her first (higher up) club team this winter that she is about to start.she is very good(of course her dads going to say that!lol) but she is.been watching volleyball and playing with my 2 daughters for over 10 years now.Its daughters passion,i have a shop that we set up a net that we can get some practice on and she wants to practice at home even after normal practice! to me she does suffer with many of your good points in your videos.mainly gets down on herself and needs to be a better teammate.she also doenst like playing other positions when asked to.likes her outside hitting only but is great in all areas..i hoping watching your videos will bring this down to a minimum..
