    I live in New Jersey I am an avid Hunter and I look for channels like yours. I scout from horseback and been quite successful using this method.
    I love your channel and the way you present hunting without all the hype and all obnoxious annoying music. I look at it this way, those who do that are entitled but to me it takes away from the actual content. Usually people who need to have all kinds of loud music as their background is to keep people interested. As far as I'm concerned everything that you did in this video is spot on and I thank you for what you do. And thank you for not dubbing in ridiculous background sounds. I wish you continued success throughout the hunting season.

    Some years ago I wanted to get a dog for turkey hunting the Fall. As time past I've found that if getting above the flock especially early you can call in the whole gang .

      Yes sir, that can sometimes work. But there's always a chance that the flock doesn't come your way. There's nothing like the excitement of a good break in the fall! It doesn't always work out either. But when it does, it can be some of the best fall hunting you'll ever experience! Thanks for watching!

      It's called a kee kee, it's what they do to relocate each other after being split up. Not how they would normally yelp in the spring. Gobbler yelps also what they're doing sound a lot harsher

    • @claycomboutdooors
      @claycomboutdooors  2 года назад +1

      Hey Austin! In the fall, the birds have a flocking instinct. The dogs find the birds & break them up (much more effectively than we can). After the scatter, the dogs are trained to sit still as we set up & try to call them back in. It's really a sight to see!

      @@lukemild2708 Hi Luke, I'm curious is Virginia Dropper the go-to turkey dog breed? I've heard of the appalachian turkey dog and have been told you can train other bird dog breeds to hunt turkeys. I'm hoping in a few years when I'm out of college I'll be able to get myself a turkey dog as I've wanted to get into it for many years.
