  • The hot tub industry has been so stagnant for so long that it seemed like nothing was ever going to change. Finally a company is bringing innovation to the industry and it's upending everything we thought we knew about hot tubs

I checked out Wellis. Many selling points... Synthetic frame (not wood), the insulation is in the PANELS (instead of sprayed all over the pipes and tub making leaks very hard to find). And as I recall 40A breaker so you can run 8AWG?

You really have to make up your mind what is good and what is bad. A lot of the stuff being used in this tub have been used to build other tubs by other manufacturers for a while now. And they are doing nothing different with the this material than other manufacturers. If I’m being honest, I feel like Wellis slipped you some cash for this review. I’m not saying they are terrible tubs. But they definitely aren’t the bees knees.

Agree. I went to my Local Wellis dealer the other day and while they looked nice my mind changed real quick once the salesmen jumped in an empty tub. When he got in to show me the seating there was so much flex on the bottom of the tub I honestly thought he was going to fall through. I did like the electric diverter they have on the upper lines though.

This guy will promote whatever brand that gives him a kick back…..first Master Spas 🤢…..now a product that doesn’t use any insulation and doesn’t clamp a single water line in the tub. If you were to put that tub in a Canadian winter it isn’t lasting 1 year 😂

@@burkeyboy84Yeah Initially I thought this guy was a great resource now watching this he’s literally going against everything he said in the past on what he said makes a good tub.
He used to say how only to buy a tub with non proprietary parts. I guess though with Wellis he will look the other way.
He knocked on tubs that did perimeter insulation but once again on Wellis it’s okay.
He has said in the past you want full hand rolled fiberglass self supporting shells but with Wellis it’s now okay not to have them.
He used to promote only using tubs with clamped plumbing lines but on Wellis- well you get the point…..

@@GreenMountain565 you absolutely nailed it!! I have been dealing with this guy for years and all the misinformation he was spreading to guide people towards the brand he gets a kickback from 😡……lots of people would come in and say “oh hot tub university told me this” or “oh I went with a Master Spa cause hot tub university told me to”. I hope people actually finally realize this guy doesn’t have anyone’s best interest at heart when buying a tub, and he’s just pushing you towards the brands he gets a kickback from…..it’s so frustrating to watch his videos

  • @rh50412

This man is an unethical shill, promoting whatever company gives him the most kickbacks. For years he has been criticizing any company who doesn’t clamp their tubing, stating that it was an absolute must, and now he is promoting (getting paid by) a brand who doesn’t do this. Please don’t take any of his advice.

Wellis is the best tub maker. American tubs have become too unreliable, leak prone and full of proprietary nonsense.
