I was like hm begginer friendly knit pant tut in 7 and a half minutes? Intrigued cause the other tutorials are like so damn long. And it was lit. Usually theres only tutorials for begginers and i dont wanna like call myself a pro but im good and i dont want those one hour videos in hwhich i get explained how to do a pearl sitich or a double crotchet or whatever. THIS is just the speed and thr level of chaotic and i dont give a fuck i needed. Oh you got a bit of a bigger hole there yea just stich is together a lil shell be fine. Loved it
yeah! I mean if the pattern is more difficult it might need more time but if it’s basic & i need to edit it after 😂 i have no problem with a short edit. aw thanks for taking a chance ❤ Yeah, i believe the hole was also created because the yarn is so stretchy but yeah its closed up now!! Haha ❤ Enjoy
Okay, this isn't a huge thing but just wanted to offer a tip to anyone interested. When wrapping your yarn to pull up a stitch, I would suggest paying attention to the direction. I mention this because I noticed at the beginning when Kiara began working the knit one purl one (ribbing), she was wrapping the knits clockwise but the purls anticlockwise. This isn't a problem but everyone should be aware that this means in the following round, when you comeback to these stitches, they will be alternating between facing left and right, instead of all of them facing to the left. Again this is not a problem but if you aren't a skilled knitter or aren't paying attention you would end up with twisted rows. In the video Kiara fixes this by working the stitches through the back loop instead of the front but she doesn't mention this so I suspect some may not notice until their work looks slightly different. Sorry, I know this is a bit long but I wanted to make sure it was understood, if needed. All of that said, these trousers look awesome and I can't wait to see your finished piece, keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.
Hey! Thank you for your comment! :) it's because I mostly do freehand work and never followed traditional knitting. This message is great and thank you for bring it up
@@kiarashooks444 Zero apologies or explanation needed. Knitting like most things is learned and done differently depending on the maker. You simply highlighted more techniques than possibly intended. I'm just glad I didn't unintentionally offend you. This was for those who might get caught on something that I know I have been stumped by on other patterns.
would you say this is beginner friendly? i tried knitting a few years ago and it didn’t quite stick, but i love how the pants look on the cover of this video and i’d love to make myself a pair. i also only have 9mm (regular) needles and 5.5mm circular needles, what size yarn would you recommended for those needles for this project? sorry, this ended up being longer than i anticipated! 😰
Hihi !! yes, i’d say this is super basic and beginner friendly. I’m soon going to post what the final piece looks like because it is slightly different than the images in the thumbnail. I learned nothing from youtube tutorials when it came to knitting. I searched hours/ left it to fate just to know what “a knit 1 purl 1” was called. So that made me freehand a lot of my pieces and so all my patterns/tutorials are beginner friendly. For this design having circular needles is best! If you use the 5.5mm c.needles, you want to use a small enough yarn. I’ve not used these terms before lol but based off google: - DK light worsted yarn should work or a smaller yarn. My example would be - a regular acrylic yarn from red heart should be fine. Also, the smaller your needle size, the more you will need to cast on - just keep that in mind ❤ Hope this helps :)
Forsure!! I used a 5.0mm crochet hook (any size you wish) and after making around 170 chains, I weave it around the top part of the pants!! Sorry for not including that :)
hi :) oufff i'm not good at different sizes (depends on which yarn your using etc) I did some googling for ya - you should knit a swatch, count the number of stitches in 10 cm / 4 inch square and do a few basic calculations to come up with the number of stitches to cast on. So, if you make a swatch you can place it on your hip area and see how many stitches you would need! hope this helps!!
Hihi 💗 As you may have tried finding the answer on google… but failed like me because such a simple question doesn’t seem to exist unless you buy someone’s pattern 😂 So i’m going to help you/learn now Could you read me the knitting guage on your yarn skein/ball package please!! +You might find the guage in the description of the website you bought the yarn from* It looks like this: Knitting Gauge: 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) 17 sts x 23 rows with a 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needle In the example i posted : i’d cast on 17 stitches and it would add up to 4 inches. Once i have that info I can tell you roughly how many you’ll need to cast on. You will also want to measure how many inches is your hip area! 💗
Here is what my finished knit pants look like ❤ 😊

Hi ! Is there any guidance on how many I should cast on for l/xl pants ?
Hihi 💗
As you may have tried finding the answer on google… but failed like me because such a simple question doesn’t seem to exist unless you buy someone’s pattern 😂
So i’m going to help you/learn now
Could you read me the knitting guage on your yarn skein/ball package please!! +You might find the guage in the description of the website you bought the yarn from*
It looks like this: Knitting Gauge: 4” x 4” (10 cm x 10 cm) 17 sts x 23 rows with a 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needle
In the example i posted : i’d cast on 17 stitches and it would add up to 4 inches.
