American Girl dolls are beloved by people of all age groups. The intention of our channel is to produce videos about doll repair and modification for an age 13+ and adult audience who share our interests. We do not aim to attract children under the age of 13 with our content, nor do we want to. We have been thoughtful in insuring that our content is targeted towards adult interests like: doll repair, the usage of tools, wig repair, vinyl and fabric cleaning techniques and wig altercation. We do not believe that children under the age of 13 are interested in our channel material.
Unfortunately, you chose not to share the products you used to achieve your end results. This could have been an excellent tutorial if you had. All we got was a video showing that it is possible to save a doll but not how to do it. I essentially have wasted my time watching this.

I dont understand how parents can get their kids one of these really expensive and nice toys and let them ruin it. Or how the kid wants to ruin it. I took care of mine like they were my CHILDREN maybe bc I was poor and having them was a treat, idk. And I get that if they're younger they're gonna be a little more destructive because at that age it's hard to teach them, so I think American girls should be for girls a bit older tbh. Idk, it just makes me kinda sad to see them in these awful conditions. You're awesome, I love watching these videos where people fix them up and I'd love to try my hand at it someday.
What cleaners and glue removers did you use?
Awesome! Do you have any tips for making doll hair shiny and soft again? I have a Saige doll, and her hair is not knotted, it’s all brushed out but it feels rouh and scratchy. Any ideas/tips?

Thanks! I sometimes glue hair and other times I don't. If I want to give a doll an absolute permanent look, or if I'm going to do a hairstyle where I need to pull on the scalp, I glue. If I want to keep options open for a doll to change her look with a new wig, or if I just run out of time and can't wait for the glue to dry, I skip it. I end up in that last category more often that I want to admit lol
