I'm glad I found this because I've been wanting to make a paladin healer sort of build whenever I do co-op with friends. I definitely now know what to look for before and after beating Godric, so thanks for uploading this :)
@@butlava522 I was roughly level 50 when this build came out. I pinned a top comment on my most recent frenzy video for a level 125 build with a Dex/Faith focus. If you're using the winged scythe it will be perfect. This video was more just getting all the early bits and pieces for a rounded build. Winged scythe was my main squeeze for majority of the game.
Good thing to note about the Flame of Frenzy, even if the Madness doesn't effect bosses or so, it's mulit-hits can however cause poise breaks on the bigger enemies and bosses, you'll be surprised how many times you can do a Crit if you use it with a summon active that has the boss's eye.
PLEASE PLEASE reply. I have the wing scythe and like 45 faith, I have enough str and dex to use it. I even dual wield with a grave scythe that I turned faith. But I do ZERO damage to the godskin apostle. Why???
Two years later, I'm giving Elden Ring a go, and I kind of fell in love with the Prophet aesthetic, so I've been leaning Faith and this video gave me the ammunition I needed. That Winged Scythe is so fuckin' good. Faith builds for life!
I love the weird and whacky weapons you come across in a souls game. Felt almost like a monster hunter weapon. The thing is a pain in the arse to use effectively but I love it.
Frenzied Burst is also amazing. It does insane damage and has massive stun plus madness proc, it’s also essentially a faith sniper. I highly recommend it.
With a madness focussed build you can get an enemy to 100% madness with a fully charged burst, which then true combos into an uncharged version. It's gross.
It might be a good idea to list the stats needed for weapons. I was disappointed when I received the scythe because I wasn’t aware strength and dexterity were needed. Otherwise great video

You forgot to mention the swarm of bats that attack you when you try to get the lightning strike. I'm only level 12 though, so that might be the problem, haha!

Question, do you think a primarily dex build could benefit from putting just enough points into faith to use this weapon and a few incantations? Or would it not be worth the investment and be better for a primarily faith build? I ask because on my second playthrough im level 50 and using primarily dex, but havent hit the soft cap. So i wonder if using faith as a secondary at my level would it worth it
I'm honestly of the opinion that the winged scythe is better. But it's personal preference. The weapon art on the Halo is insane, does great damage and don't get me wrong its a lot of fun too. But the winged scythe is better rounded imo. Avoids abilities, very mobile, super armour, stops healing, stance breaks and builds bleeds with it's weapon art. It's too much to pass up on imo.
Godslayer seal boosts godslayer incantations. So that's something to consider if that's the spell group you want to focus. I don't use the two finger seal to be honest, I used godslayer right up until I got the seal with the tree on it (Name escapes me right now, and I'm on mobile). You will have the materials to upgrade both to max scaling anyway.
I'm sorry if you've been asked this before, but would you mind sharing your stats for this build? After seeing this I really wanna reallocate my points, so I wanna make sure I know so I can get them all right instead of trying to guess.
I can't check right now mate. I'm going to leave this comment as a reminder to get back to you in a couple of hours though. It's pretty much an even spread in Str/Dex with Radagon's Scarseal, a huge pump onto faith and then spare points spread between Vig/Mind/End. I'm approaching endgame now at level 60 and get one shot by everything, so I want to spend a few more points in Vig going forward.

Ngl, I've caught a few people off guard with it. Had a purely pvp session last night and honed bolt was picking up the kills left and right. You can also begin the animation on one target, then quickly switch to another to hit them with a bolt and catch them off-guard.

@@egyptianmist4098 I personally found the scythe incredibly strong, I used it right up to the last third of the game. Two of it's weapon arts is enough to bleed most enemies pretty consistently. For co-op on bosses you want to use a furlcalling finger remedy near the boss door. That will show up fellow players summon signs on the ground, and they usually put them near boss doors or near the sites of grace. You get the furlcalling finger remedies from helping other tarnished in their world with bosses, or you can craft it from some commonly found plants. Hope that helps.
Hey what stats do you recommend I’m at 112 level and I want to change my build because I don’t really have one going just put something together that I like to play with and now I want to change to a simi faith build
If you want to go semi faith I recommend getting faith to 55, and then use a Two Fingers Heirloom talisman for a +5 faith boost putting you at 60. Level 60 is the softcap for faith weapon damage. After that you want to find a weapon you really enjoy that scales with faith. Then see if it scales more with dex or strength, and pump your points into the relevant attribute. Blasphemous Blade is a great weapon that scales with faith, and Dex/Str evenly. It's a monstrous weapon with an insanely powerful fire weapon art that facerolls most bosses. You can buff that damage further with Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength and a fire tear flask. Blasphemous Blade is a great quality+faith option. Check it out on the wiki and see if it suits your needs.

Once I got that sword, I respected my character to have the int required to equip it. It is crazy good. You can seriously cheese some bosses just using this sword. Redoing your stats will require you defeat a certain boss though and acquire an item.

It absolutely should. It's not tailored around one shots like some arc/str/int builds. It is meant to be strong, but you by no means face-roll content. Most components of this build haven't been impacted by any large nerfs since the video released. I have completed the game a few times using this build as a template, most recently last month in prep for the DLC. I love faith builds, and the winged scythe is my absolute favourite early/mid weapon for both PvE and PvP. The weapon art is weird but absolutely chefs kiss.

I see these videos as more of a 'builder's kit' than a straight up build; just giving folks the relevant pieces, and then they can pick and choose what they actually want to focus in. I've just done a respec on my character, but the new stats will work for everything in this video. Vig: 50 Mind: 15 Endurance: 15 Strength: 11 Dexterity: 35 Intelligence: 9 Faith: 55 Arcane:9 I then boost my stats up with a Radagon's Soreseal to add +5 to Vig, End, Str and Dex so I get 55/20/16/40 and I boost my faith up to 60 with Two Finger's Heirloom. It's a 120 build.

I just threw on an Arsenal Jar talisman, as well as an Erdtree's Favour Talisman for the equip weight buff. If you're looking to wield Blasphemous blade you can just level our your Str/Dex spread since it scales evenly with both through all upgrades.

If you're really looking to min/max I believe the gravel stone seal boosts all Dragon Cult incantations. Lightning incantations are a sub section of that school.

@@notalive_zombie Eventually you'll unlock a whetblade that allows you to put holy or lightning affinity on weapons. It gives you a bunch more options. Magma Wyrm GS is a pretty nice option too.
@@notalive_zombie I've been sitting at 41 Faith for a little while. I still play mainly melee but it's nice to have some big spells in your back pocket. I've had a go with the Cipher and it along with its weapon art are very fun to play. You get an A at +10 too. I've been using the Bloodhound Claw with the bloodflame spell in PvP and it slaps though. Definitely my favourite fist weapon so far.
They don't feel absolutely massive, especially compared to weapons with crit modifiers. But you get triple the range of a dagger and a critical hit still applies massive bleed, so I'm fine with the trade off.
I keep hoping when I watch these dumb videos that I'll somehow see something I didn't know about and already have for a long time now, like one elusive cool weapon or Ash of war or something.... but NOOOooooo! I know I have everything I just keep hoping. there was a time when I thought I had everything and would all the sudden learn about one more thing..... sigh

This is true! A general rule of thumb for Souls games though: If there's good loot in an open area ALWAYS expect the worst.

That ability is Aspect of the Crucible, Tail. You get it from a crucible knight at Storm hill Evergaol.

Hey mate. I talk about that from 4:50 onwards. There's a map on screen at pretty much exactly 5:00 minutes showing you the precise location.
And as a faith strength user, im still looking for a good weapon.

4:11 I feel like you can hit from further distance than me... is that a character stat or something?
No special stats or anything. That was just the tip of max range I believe.
You can skip Stormveil Castle
You can, but you shouldn't, because Stormveil Castle is important for being properly leveled for the areas afterwards. Source: I got my butt kicked

If you have a friend/trusted trader and make a second char you could feasibly get two VERY quickly. Power stance scythes are sick in this game too.
