  • As fall begins and we start to think about styling autumn outfits, it can be tempting to "fill our wardrobe gaps" with all the "basics" we can think of. But there's really no such thing as a must-have clothing piece. If a basic doesn't align with your personal style, you don't need to buy it! YOUR "basics" and wardrobe staples don't have to be basic. In this vid I chat about all the "must-have basics" that I don't own, and why.

I spent aaaaaages looking for bras to replace some Victoria's secret ones because the ones I bought in 2012 fit well, but they died after 10 years. And none of the ones I tried at any store I went into fit. I gave up and just bought soft cup longline bras from target, which are way comfy but don't hold the girls up. ThirdLove supposedly makes good ones of the kind you describe. I eventually found a high end french brand that I adore and have 10 wired contour ones that fit fabulously. So I would say something about how brands are run makes the bras not fit. I shopped for 5 years without success.

I hate ballet flats. I will never purchase them. I think they are impractical and ugly. They aren't comfortable to walk in and give you joint problems if you do walk a lot on concrete. They look like you're trying to dress up as a young French girl. Yet. Supposedly every work wardrobe needs them.

i also hate wearing bras and pretty much only wear sports bras. But my favorite is the Laura Ashley Sports Bra. It looks like a tight cami tank top and has removable pads. I get them in 3 packs from TJ Maxx for cheap. I wear them as bras or tank tops. I remove the pads or alternate the pads out with some from my other bras and all of my different pads give me different amounts of "push up"
