    I love the 'stop judging, just observe' attitude. Also it is much better to see what it's like to live there than seeing sightseeing recommendations in the usual touristy videos.

    09:20 I love how you said that it's only possible because people respect these quiet places, and it's true. Here in Europe in every corner and every park punk teenagers and kids with bicycles are running around, screaming at the top of their lungs, littering and doing mischief... even at home it can be difficult to find some quiet time since you can hear them from inside.

    Thank you for the video update ♡ It was very interesting to know the difference between Japan and Germany. I am Japanese and live in Japan. I have never been abroad, but I would like to visit many countries and experience various cultures in the future. I feel that by learning about cultures different from my home country, my love for my home country will deepen. I would like to respect the cultures of various countries.

      As the first commenter mentioned, it’s often the case that bicycles are simply 'ridden off' and left abandoned in a different area, rather than being stolen for resale-especially if they’re not particularly valuable. (Of course, this doesn’t make it acceptable.) I assume you registered your bike when you purchased it, so if you report the theft to the police, there’s a good chance it might be found. I hope your bicycle is returned to you soon.

    The food looks really good! It's only 5:30a here in NYC but I felt hungry when I saw what you were eating. 90% of the Japanese restaurants here are actually Chinese and most people do not even know the difference and I can tell you there is a huge difference. My breakfast is cheese and grapes with an espresso. As for hugging, we do it a lot here, hugs and kisses to say hello to friends and even saying goodbye to people we just met if we spent more than a few minutes with them and had a good time.

    Thank you for having described all those differences. I can totally agree with and confirm what you reported - like dating, "stealing", physical touch, heritage, tranquility or beer. My (additional) culture shock was the maze of electric wires hanging around even in big cities

    • @gotakazawa408
      @gotakazawa408 Час назад

      Regarding the issue of electric wires, my personal view is shaped by the fact that Japan experiences frequent earthquakes. While it is technically possible to bury electric wires underground, considering the time and complexity of restoring them after an earthquake, having the electric wires above ground seems to be a wiser choice.

    Oh! hallow Miss. Nini Sun! nice to meet you on youtube program. I would usually feel that the contrast between white lady with golden hair and typical Japanese-like shrine in the mountain are so beautiful, I don't know why it is. I suppose you felt special difference in between European culture and Japan. I'm afraid so, we Japanese strain at OLD(wabi, sabi, shiwori). By the way, when was 48 years old, I enjoyed my travels in Germany alone though. the place where I had been to at first Salzburg and to Stuttgart(asked former teacher), Wien, Berlin, Hamburg, Kerln-Bonn here and there in each place. That's so big remembrance of in my whole life, Yeah. 92yrs.Japanese. sorry Strange English. Have a nice living in Japan.

    What a lovely video. Nini is a Japanese at heart. I think the ONLY problem with Japan is that it is a rapidly aging society. Fortunately, Japan became rich before it got old, so the people will continue to enjoy all the benefits of an advanced, wealthy economy in the near-term, but in a few generations, the lack of a young population will cause dampening effects on the economy. I'm not sure why the Japanese govt is not putting population growth as one of its top priorities. Japan is a country that is loved by everybody after all (well, except you-know-who).

I wonder if the differences you found between Germany and Japan apply to ALL regions of Japan, including Japan's rural culture? Also I am interested in the extent of religious life of the two cultures, both exoteric (brick & mortar churches) vs. esoteric, i.e., meditation.

    Differences are what make us interesting, and by understanding each other's differences, we can understand each other and enrich our lives.
    I once stayed at home in Munich for a short-term language study abroad trip.
    Germany was also rich in forests, quiet and beautiful.
    The difference I felt was that there was more space on the land in Germany🤩🤩🤩
    Dead space that seems useless but has a lot of meaning to people.
    Japan is a small country, so people create elaborate culture in even the smallest of spaces.
    However,the area in front of the station, which is a short subway ride from Munich, was left as pastureland, and many sheep were grazing there.🐏🐏🐏🐏🐏
    So, I was very envious of Germany's medieval atmosphere.

    Hallo Nini san, in vielen Punkten bin ich Deiner Meinung, nur der Punkt 1 Dating bin ich ein bisschen anderer Meinung als Du. Denn die Phase, dass man Schmetterlinge im Bauch zu haben, gibt es überall auf dieser Welt egal ob es in Dtl. oder Jpn., USA, Afrika ist.
    Wenn ich das Problem direkt ansprechen darf, sind die Unterschiede s, einmal ist es gefühlsbetont oder einmal ist es körperbetont. Du hast vollkommen Recht, wenn die Partnerinb zum Beispiel dem Japaner gefühlsmäßig gefällt, sagt er das auch in der "Schmetterlingsphase". In Deutschland zum Beispiel geht es aber "physisch" gleich zur Sache, ob das in der Karnevals- oder Schützenfest- oder Oktoberfestzeit ist, ob das mit oder ohne Alkohol oder Drogen ist, das Pärchen möchte gleich körperlich "etwas" im Pferdestall im Heu oder Busch unternehmen. Drauffolgender Tag ist es dir Euphorie des Pärchens scheinbar mehr oder weniger vorbei. Aus meiner Sicht nehmen die Japaner die Beziehungen in der Schmetterlingsphase deutlich ernster als in Deutschland und viele Japaner planen schon unter Umständen eine gemeinsame Zukunft. Das könnte für manche Europäerinnen vermutlich zu schnell sein. Aber wenn die europäischen Schmetterlinge auch ernst werden, ist wohl die Zukunftspläne der Japaner auch nicht zu schnell genug. Viele Europäerinnen mit gutem Bauchgefühl, bei denen scheint es in Japan auch sehr gut zu klappen. Es gibt erstaunlich viele deutsche Bloggerinnen und RUclipsrinnen, die mit Japaner verheiratet sind und sehr glücklich sind.

    your bike gets stolen?.....I think Japan is really changing...and maybe not in a good way....last year when I went there I saw that it's quite common to see some people putting their backpacks in front of them obviously for security reasons especially in crowded places...the first time when I went to Japan way back in 2017 I think I haven't seen anyone doing this

    • @yo2trader539
      @yo2trader539 6 часов назад

      Actually putting the backpack in the front is mostly for not getting in the way of other people, especially crowded trains. But yes security has deteriorated with increase of foreign tourists and migrant workers. In the past it was just Koreans, Chinese, and Brazilians. Nowadays we even travelling Chileans committing crimes in Japan. There needs to be better control of the border for sure.

      As a german person I can tell you that it is the worst idea to let too many people immigrate from third world countries. Germany was once a very safe and peaceful country, but not anymore after the big immigration which makes me very sad😢

    さすがに財布は肌身離さず持ち歩いてくださいねwまた日本で物をとられたといってもそれが日本人が犯したことなのか?それとも日本人にいる外国の方の犯したことなのかは?と思います。それと告白してからデートなのか?デートして相手を知ってから告白なのか?についてですが、私が考えるところ、友人や同僚として日常の相手を知ったうえで告白することが多いと思うので、デートで新たな相手の一面を見つけることも多いですが、告白の前に相手に対して尊敬や好意がありその気持ちが溢れ出して告白をするということだけは理解しておいて欲しいです。

      The crime was probably committed by a Japanese. Western foreigners, who live in Japan, have no interest in bicycles or frivolous things.
