Kripp, you should make a video showing people how to use Excel's Linear Regression to derive formulas. In D3, for example, I used 8 slot changes (equipping 1 piece of armor at a time) to get 8 data points of Armor and % Mitigation. Plug into excel and BAM, Effective Health Multiplier = 0.003A+1 with R^2=99.98. Further, you can use Res and Armor formulas to make Total Mitigation formula then use calculus to determine optimal use based on Marginal Rate of Technical Substitution.
Kripparrian, do you think you could do a video about how your controls and keybinds are set in WoW? I've played since classic so I'm used to my setup but I'm always looking for tips and tricks that maybe I don't know of yet. I could be quite helpful. I love your vids and I'm excited to see you raid again. Keep up the good work!
You don't pay attention to the picture at the start? It shows the alphabet "K" with a troll from World of Warcraft with it. I'm pretty sure he did this with Diablo III as well. Not sure about his Guild Wars 2 videos though.
Great video of Kripp! Most of us high-end guys realize these things easily but there's apparently a lot of people who didn't know! One thing you could have done to make the video better in my opinion though is explain the Hunter rotation your analyzing here so us non-hunter players have a better idea of what each skill does. Regardless, great video and keep it up! I watch every video every day!
thanks for the video kripp, i would love if you could make a video why you chose the talents you did and the stats.. etc. I know you can see what does better damage and everything is situational but it would be clear to see and what not.
Kripp what's your opinion on proc based rotations like frost dk dps rotation? Also I would suggest people to just test the shit out, I find myself always testing and comparing dps/damage metters. If you put out better and better dps then you are learning and optimising your play style.
You skipped one important part of rotation Kripp, some skills aren't used one sole purpose of damage, but proccs. Certain skills for each class procc buffs which empower/enable other skills. So checking raw damage of each skill and basing your opinion on those numbers wont always work.It may be not the case for Hunter but you could've mention that.
No it's the difference in putting up numbers like you see In World of Logs and what you normally see. The min maxing you're talking about is like a few extra dps stats here and there.

It's all quite obviuos when you listen to it like this, but if you're a casual player, like me, you tend to get a bit stressed/twitchy in fights and that will screw your rotation up - regardless of which rotation method you're using :)
Hunters have pretty much the best community these days.. We've worked incredibly hard trying to fight off the huntard stigma. On that front I hope kripp is preaching to the converted - most of us should get situational shot priorities already.

Noxxic is only helpful if you're just starting out on a class and have no idea what you are doing, or if you happen to forget the name of that specific meta-gem you need. :P
