Your main expense in Delhi would be your accommodation. In the area where I live, it's generally between 9k and 15k. It also depends on single, sharing, and triple living. If you live in a PG, most probably, they will have the option of three or two meals. If you live in a flat, you either have to manage yourself or go to the mess (which is an additional expense). College fees have to be paid every year, it depends on the course, but it will be roughly around 11k to 14k. If you are preparing for any examination then you have to worry about tuition fees etc, if not then college study can be managed without tuition. Transportation expenses are less if you travel by bus, and more if you travel from the metro. It will be roughly around 300 to 600 monthly if you are a regular student. Other than these essential expenses, you will spend money here and there to eat something, go somewhere, etc. The amounts depend on person to person. Some spend 2k a month, some 3k, some 1k. It all depends on you. I'm personally dependent upon my parents, and every friend I have is the same. But yeah, you can manage a part-time job if you want to, but then you will not have enough time to explore college as much.

@ Mere yaha to Hons tha nai Philo ke liye isliye mujhe bahar ana hi tha. Agar mai zyada tairyari karta might possible ki ma North campus me hota, agar tumhara north campus me ho raha h to defintely jao. Du expousre deta h, apne hometown se bahar niklne ke baad duniya asl me dikhai padti h. At the end its your choice, nai jaoge DU to koi pahad nai tut jaayega. Bas dhyan rahe ki tum aage regret na karo.

Intrest hai maine krke dekha books and text lecture etc... actually yh doubt isiliye aa rha hai kyoki college mai bhi khudse Krna hoga additional library aur peers milenge... What is your suggestion on this ??

Jab mai Delhi aaya tha, to mere bhi dimag tha teacher achhe hone chahiye and seniors mile karke, but vo mere liye bonus hota, because I alredy knew ki karna to khud hi h, isliye it all depends up you, apne aas pass a environment koi bharoshs nai h par khud par kar sakte ho.
