What software is used to capture the points found by the probe?

SB3 (ShopBot control software) is what captures the points. It is all built into the ShopBot software. Hope that info helps! Happy to answer any other questions - sales@shopbottools.com

The digitizing probe is normally closed switch. We are not familiar enough with Mach3 software to determine if it will work. Sorry about that!

I am considering the purchase of a ShopBot but am concerned about the design software. While I am completely self taught I am extremely comfortable using AutoCAD and own Mechanical 2010. In reading everything that I could on the website I see no mention of compatibility or steps required to import a dwg file for use. Where could I find information on this?

+Andrew Myers As an SB owner, I can tell you that there is an import function in Vectric software and I have used it to import AutoCAD DXF files. That info may not be on the SB page, but I am sure you can find more info on the Vectric software site (included with your SB), as this is a software function, not a hardware function. www.vectric.com/
