Honestly, I don’t think MGM and Universal have much to lose if No Time to Die releases when it’s meant to, even if it underperforms. It’s Daniel Craig’s last Bond film, and they’re going to recast and reboot Bond in 5-6 years anyway. Here’s hoping it’s still coming out in November.

I love how you use the game's OST as your background music, especially the ones from Nightfire About the postponing topic; I am really excited to watch the movie in November, I really am - but I'd get my hopes up for them to release it by March 2021. I think that the movie won't receive too much attention at the current moment and the people are still afraid to go out in such a dramatic world situation. About the video - I couldn't expect less from Billie. She's an amazing singer, an amazing performer and her style is completely unique and also very innovative for someone who's become famous in such a small amount of time even if she was around for a while now. I love her voice, I love this theme, I loved the video and I will certainly love to hear it in the theaters, very soon.

His worst to best Bond film reviews make the most sense to me. He also considers Nightfire to be one of the best Bond games. As a GoldenEye nerd, I have to agree. It captured the sophistication of Connery, the charm of Moore and the suave portrayal of Brosnan. It also had all of the 007 feels with over-the-top explosions, gadgetry, women and villains. In GoldenEye 007, I felt like I was James Bond in real life. In Nightfire, it felt like I was part of the Bond universe.

I can say that this song feels as if Skyfall and Writing’s On The Wall have a melancholic and uneasy daughter, which suggests that the narrative arc from Craig's Bond continues in that same evolution. (0:00-0:26) From the first second it hooked me, because it reminds me of the beginning of the theme of Unbreakable, composed by James Newton Howard. In that movie, the protagonist is a physically indestructible man and I can't ignore parallels between him and the James Bond that we have always idealized (a man who doesn’t suffer scratches and escapes death). That melancholy (at least for the piano) suggests to me that we'll see with shock the Achilles heel (a very emotional one) in this invincible man (in the same way that happens in Unbreakable). (1:34-1:47) For some reason, these guitar arrangements by Johnny Marr (repeated later) remind me of those from David Arnold in Quantum of Solace (specially Inside Man, The Dead Don't Care About Vengeance and Crawl, End Crawl (end credits of the film)). Regarding the lyrics, beyond the fact that at first it has to do with the relationship / betrayal between Bond and Madeleine Swann, also it could allude to Vesper Lynd from Casino Royale. All of the above does nothing but persuade me that there are enough bondisms (though not classic or conventional... more like bondisms from the Craig era) to be a 007 song. Perhaps most of the fans are comparing their bondisms in the wrong way. Eilish's soft voice and how short the song feels give me the idea that the emotional element may not be as persistent throughout the film, but when it does happen it will be powerful, even coming from a character who shows ease (and something of coldness) in 90 % of his life, and rarely shows genuine emotions. The orchestration is acceptable to me, although its sound peak is quite brief. It makes me wonder if Hans Zimmer will incorporate some sound clips from this song (with modifications) for the score of the film. Perhaps the best variations of this song (a more latent instrumentation) are yet to come. In short ... not bad for an 18 year old. I think that the melody can work well as one more element of the film, which I am already dying to watch, although as a song in itself it may not be remembered in the coming years nor does it merit major awards. RATING: 7.5 / 10
I thought the MV was fine. Nothing special but I loved the lighthing and Billie Eilish's performance. But the little scenes we saw they hyped me up a lot. Even more than the trailers!
I really like the slow burn build up and it wasn't until well into the clip that we saw 'action' - it's threaded the action (danger) and the romance (respite, tenderness as alternative) quite well though. It was a great clip. Whets the appetite for the film now. :)

My Wife watched this movie first and assumed they had a big relationship arc before then was stunned by how terrible it was in Spectre.

Regarding the lyrics, beyond the fact that at first it has to do with the relationship / betrayal between Bond and Madeleine Swann, also it could allude to Vesper Lynd from Casino Royale.
All of the above does nothing but persuade me that there are enough bondisms (though not classic or conventional... more like bondisms from the Craig era) to be a 007 song. Perhaps most of the fans are comparing their bondisms in the wrong way.
Eilish's soft voice and how short the song feels give me the idea that the emotional element may not be as persistent throughout the film, but when it does happen it will be powerful, even coming from a character who shows ease (and something of coldness) in 90 % of his life, and rarely shows genuine emotions.
The orchestration is acceptable to me, although its sound peak is quite brief. It makes me wonder if Hans Zimmer will incorporate some sound clips from this song (with modifications) for the score of the film. Perhaps the best variations of this song (a more latent instrumentation) are yet to come.
In short ... not bad for an 18 year old. I think that the melody can work well as one more element of the film, which I am already dying to watch, although as a song in itself it may not be remembered in the coming years nor does it merit major awards.

Even if the film turns out to be terrible, I love that I still get so excited by the build up to the release of a Bond film. It's delirious!
My takeaway is this: Calvin is a genuinely excellent whistler.
I thought the MV was fine. Nothing special but I loved the lighthing and Billie Eilish's performance.
But the little scenes we saw they hyped me up a lot. Even more than the trailers!

I really like the slow burn build up and it wasn't until well into the clip that we saw 'action' - it's threaded the action (danger) and the romance (respite, tenderness as alternative) quite well though. It was a great clip. Whets the appetite for the film now. :)

I love the darkness of Billies song and the way it does go bigger at the end they've captured that well in the video and kept it simple and tonal like the song. I like dark and light I could never live in a world where everything is dark. If the next Bond theme is depressing like Sam Smiths or Billie back I think I'll top myself. Still can't get excited about this one, and I've been a fan since 1983. Will definitely wait for the blu-ray. Hope the new Bond will bring back some of the fun standalone stories that made the series great.

The song is OK. But it doesn't really grab me as a good Bond theme. But I did enjoy seeing a few new surprises from the movie. It has got me even more curious about the movie & am looking forward to seeing it next month.
Sounds like there re-starting the publicity given this song was played extensively pre-Covid delay. Still wouldn't rule out another delay though
