This ball ornament topper design is so beautiful! I love that you didn’t use large shaped beads to take up a lot of space. You’ve made such a delicate look with classic beading, IE RAW with seed beads. The pearls, drops and Superduos are used sparingly for the perfect finishing touch. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful project.
Thank you so much 💗💗💗
I love this design. It is so pretty and very versatile. I used Mini DiamondDuos in one, and I used 6mm bugles in another. I love how they turned out! (Finding pearl drops to match my bright white pearls wasn't easy though.) I made mine to fit 3 1/2 in baubles, so I had to use 10 pearls instead of 8.
SO PRETTY! I was just sitting here working on your Seaside Dreams wrap bracelet when this video popped up. Suddenly SQUIRREL! I’ve totally gotten off track and am now hunting through my stash for ornament ideas. 🤪 You are not to blame for my issues with staying focused… that’s all on me. Thank you for sharing this lovely tutorial. Hugs from Kentucky
Haha so funny and so familiar 😆😀😃 I’m always starting another project before I can finish the one I’m working on. It can be exhausting 😂😂😂 but oh so much fun!
Stephanie, I've seen hundreds of Christmas ball beaded ornaments but this by is my favorite. The design is stunning! Going through my beads to pull everything needed! Thank you again for a beautiful idea for Christmas. You continue to amaze me.
Thank you so much 😊🙏💕
I have just started to make the ornament cover using silver seed beads, white pearls and ab red 4mm bicones. I don't usually make other crafters creations but this one was unique and very pretty. I've made my own designs for about three years now. But I really like this one. Thank you for sharing with us.
Those covers are so pretty. And the little handlers are adorable. Perfect !!
I am in the car as a passenger driving from Lake Tahoe to San Francisco. I got a notification and I opened it with excitement!! This is such an amazing tutorial!! I love how they turned out. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. You have inspired me to make a few as gifts for my mother and sisters. The hooks are a bonus. They will look perfect on the ornament. Stephanie I love watching your tutorials they truly make my day. Thanks again.
Thank you so much Lynda🥰 I’m so glad you like this one! Enjoy your journey to San Francisco! One of my favorite places to visit 🌺
Oh wow! So timely and so lovely! I've been in the mood for ornaments, and I love the covers that can change from one glass ball to another. Especially handy in case of breakage, too. I love this........thank you!
Thank you so much Elizabeth 😍🥰💗
Not only a beautiful project but all the info to purchase what we need! Your amazing! Thank you!
These are so fun! Love the hooks, too. Each one is unique!
Thank you so much for doing an ornament cover. The ones you did are beautiful. I need to raid my stash and make some. Thank you for sharing all of your amazing pieces.
Oh wow! Stephanie, you knocked it out of the park on this one!! So excited to make ornaments!! I love that it can be moved to another ornament-last year my son/dogs knocked over our tree and I lost the ones that had closed bottoms. (I’ve since learned that if I’m going to close the bottom to use separate thread so the whole thing doesn’t have to be remade 😢) Happy early Holidays!!
Thank you so much Robina 💕🙏😊 Happy early holidays💕
Great tip!
Thank you Stephanie for your time and patience. This is beautiful and fun. Sure glad to put my stash to use. I did hear your Kitty speak and as usual with felines, we are their butlers….always on their terms 🐈❣️. Blessings to you and all amazing beavers.

Simply gorgeous! I've been slowly assembling the materials to make ornament covers for a few years now, had a few ideas/motifs in mind (both for netting/RAW and component-based constructions)....and here you are, gelling all those elusive bits into something beautiful, and complete. Thank you!

I had sooo much fun playing with this ornament today!! Thanks. I've seen lots of videos lately but most just start with a circle of seed beads for the first row. Your RAW idea is very unique and beautiful.

Loving this one!!! I am going to make a few more but thinking the first part with a 4mm fire polish between the super duos will make a beautiful bracelet!!
Thank you 🙏 I did use the Drina Bracelet as inspiration 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you. This is beautiful. Cannot wait to try it.
These are stunning!
Thank you 😊
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love them! 😍😍😍 I bought stands for the ones I make. They have single hook stands and multiple hook stands. They are used to display them as decor instead of putting them on your Christmas tree. 🎄🎄🎄 However they are displayed, they are absolutely beautiful! 💖💖💖 Thank you so much for sharing. 😊💖⭐
Thank you Sheila 🥰🙏😊 I just found some stands. It took me a while to find them but I really love the look as a display piece🌺
Thank you! Was just thinking what to make this holiday season. Great idea!

Thanks a lot for sharing. 👍🥰
Thank you 🙏
You're welcome 😊. I've actually created 3 ball decorations instead of one. The first is hanging on my 🎄 and the second is hanging on my daughter's 🎄. The third is hanging on my window. Love all three! Thanks again for this beautiful pattern ❤
I posted pics on my FB page with a recognition of your pattern on YT.
Hi Stephanie,
I love this tutorial! It’s hands down the prettiest one available!
I have made 3 so far on some older ornaments I had. I am now having a problem finding new ones with a small enough top to fit inside the circumference of the top ring of beads. The only solution I have come up with is using 8mm instead of 6mm pearls to start. They will sit up so much higher so I’m not sure it will look nice.
Before I tried I thought I would ask if you might have any better re-fit suggestions.
Happy Thanksgiving and thank you again for the wonderful tutorials you share!
Christine
Done! More more more then beautiful!!!!

My pleasure 🙏😊🥰 So glad you like this one 🎄
This is beautiful…thanks..could you please make more ornament covers
Love this!!! I'm making one tomorrow!!
Thank you 😊
These are absolutely beautiful, I made one and honestly they are not hard to make. Stephanie you always do such beautiful work. Now I seem to be this person who learns her mistakes along the way. 1st mistake I did was the tops of my bulbs are Hugh, not a big deal I can either add an extra component or I was thinking maybe there is some way to use stretch cord just around the top. My second mistake is I have a problem with making everything super tight, I need to learn how to manage my tension. I didn't have any drop beads with the hole going the correct way so I make my own little drops. It turned out so pretty, however I know I'm probably going to have to take it apart and redo it, due to the tension being to tight. Thank u so much for this tutorial.
Thank you so much Tina 🥰 I love how you critique your work and find ways to improve it! A designer in the making 😃🌺
Wow amazing love them 💗
Thank you 🙏

Thank you Stephanie heart
Glad you’re enjoying watching Judi 🌸🌺😊
Thank you so much ! Gorgeous
You’re welcome 🥰
Thank you, Stephanie, for yet another beautiful video and beading idea. A quick question: For the smaller ornament, how many beads did you put in between the superduo and pearl units? Reduce by 1 or 2 11.0 beads? Thank you again!😍
The top on the smaller one I alternated between 1-11/0, 1 bicone, 1-11/0 and just 1 bicone and no 11/0’s. It depends on how wide the top is. The rest of the beading is the same for both sizes. The beading hangs a bit lower on the smaller ornament. I hope I answered your question. If not, let me know.
Oh pretty
❤
Hi Stephanie, these are beautiful and thank you for giving us this pattern early! So, I plan to make several of these and since the 11x18 mm teardrop pearls are a bit hard to find (and not cheap), do you think a 10x6 will work? Or will it alter the shape too much? Thank you! ❤
Sorry, I meant 11x8!
You can use any size drop from 6x8 to 8x12mm. Your 10x6 will be perfect 😍
So pretty 🤗🙏❤️
As usual, SO, SO, BEAITIFUL Stephanie! I love the details, and bonus, how to make the kook!!! Lovely. Thank you for sharing🙏🌹
How do you get all these ideas😍😍? Super cool🎉
Thank you 🙏 I love bead weaving and love the creative process 😊
Can you make a tutorial on how to bead a Xmas wreath pin, earrings, pendant? If you can it would be much appreciated! Thankyou!!
UPDATE: I made this ornament for my brother. He chose the colors. Purple, pink, and black. I don't complain, I just create. I used purple pearls, labrador and matte black seed beads, fuschia bicones, and metallic purple crystal drops. It actually looks pretty good! I have discovered that I need to invest in some smaller christmas balls. Almost everything I had was too large. Thank you again for a wonderful design. 💖🎄🎍
Sounds gorgeous 🥰😊
What is the best technique to tie off so that a knot will remain hidden? I just found your videos when searching for ornament topper tutorials. Yours is lovely!
Thank you 🙏 I tie half hitch knots in between beads and pull the knot through the next couple of beads to hide the knot. This is secure and hides the thread and knots.
Fabulous
