My 59 looks exactly like that without the front fender chrome or the yellow top of the rear light. Following our phone chat, you convinced me to try again and today I went blazing round the farm on my allstate. I love it! Thanks for the morale and tech support.
Hello I have a 1960 VBB1T vespa in Australia with battery tray my question is where did they make this model in Italy or India? I only ask because I was told all the vbb vespa were made in India ? Also mine has TGM then more numbers after the normal vbb and serial number Do you know what TGM stands for ?
Comparing the Cushman imported Vespas to Sears doesn't make much sense. Cushman just imported two models and put a badge on them. Sears contracted the creation of "Allstate" models with Piaggio. These were lower quality Vespas with no speedo, no front damper, cheaper paint and a number of other cost saving measures. They were badged as Allstate from the Vespa factory.

Dear Robot, awesome video! Please „review“ more of the old models! Cheers from Germany
Cool!
I remember seeing Vespa on Sears' mail order catalogue when I was kid. Browsing Sears' mail order was a major pastime then.
I remember Sears sold the Allstate Vespa
I had a 1955 Vespa that was sold through Sears. I got it in 1958. I was 14. I rode the wheels off that scooter.
How cool is that!?
That's beautiful..makes me want to restore my 1963 VBB. Should I? ;-)

The Cushman badge has a Piaggio part number (92628), so I assume it went on at the factory.
Wow! appreciate that, Robot.
